L&L U-Pull-It Introduce
For individuals in **Kings Mountain, NC**, and the surrounding areas looking for affordable used auto parts, **L&L U-Pull-It** offers a specific service model within the broad "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, though it functions more as a salvage yard or junkyard. Located at **4805 Anthony Farm Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086, USA**, this establishment caters primarily to those willing to remove parts themselves. They can be reached by phone at **(704) 739-4633**.
The environment at a "U-Pull-It" salvage yard like **L&L U-Pull-It** is inherently different from a traditional auto repair shop or new auto parts store. Customers can expect an outdoor setting with numerous vehicles, often organized by make and model, waiting to be dismantled for parts. The ground may be uneven, and weather conditions will impact the experience. Proper safety gear, such as closed-toe shoes, gloves, and possibly eye protection, is typically recommended. The facility is designed for customers to bring their own tools and remove the desired parts directly from the donor vehicles. There will likely be a reception area where customers pay an entrance fee and inquire about vehicle availability. Based on customer reviews, the professional demeanor and helpfulness of the staff in this environment appear to be inconsistent, with one customer describing "Absolutely no customer service and very unprofessional" regarding a vehicle pickup. Another review highlights a dispute over a part's availability after payment, suggesting a challenging customer service experience when issues arise. Therefore, while the environment is functional for parts removal, customers should be prepared for a self-reliant experience and potential challenges in customer interaction.
**L&L U-Pull-It** provides a very specific type of "goods for sale" within the automotive aftermarket: **used auto parts** obtained directly from salvaged vehicles. Their service model, as the name suggests, revolves around the customer going into the yard and pulling the parts they need themselves. This typically means:
- **Access to a Wide Range of Used Parts:** Their inventory consists of parts from various makes and models of vehicles that have reached the end of their life cycles. This can include engine components, transmissions, body panels, doors, interior parts, electrical components, suspension parts, brakes, and more.
- **DIY Part Removal:** Customers bring their own tools and are responsible for extracting the desired parts from the vehicles in the yard. This process requires a degree of mechanical knowledge and physical effort.
- **Vehicle Purchasing/Scrapping:** While not directly a service for consumers seeking parts, salvage yards like L&L U-Pull-It also acquire vehicles, often through services like Peddle (as mentioned in a review), which then become the source of their used parts inventory.
Based on the customer reviews, there might also be an option to have parts "pulled for me," though this seems to come with its own set of potential issues, as one customer paid for a driveshaft and rear axle to be pulled, only to receive half a driveshaft and face a refusal for a refund. This indicates that while they may offer this convenience, the execution and customer satisfaction with this particular service can be problematic. The core "goods" are the raw, used auto parts available directly on the vehicles, offering a potentially very cost-effective solution for repairs compared to buying new or re-manufactured parts.
The distinguishing features of **L&L U-Pull-It** primarily revolve around the **affordability of used parts** and the **self-service model**. This allows DIY mechanics and individuals on a budget to acquire components at a significantly lower cost than retail prices for new parts. The sheer volume of vehicles typically found in a "U-Pull-It" yard also means there's a higher chance of finding obscure or older parts that might be difficult to source elsewhere.
However, customer reviews reveal significant and concerning features regarding their **customer service and professionalism**. One review recounts a frustrating experience with a vehicle pickup, citing "Absolutely no customer service and very unprofessional" interactions, multiple delays, and unfulfilled promises ("the truck broke down and could make it"). This highlights a lack of reliable communication and scheduling. Even more critically, another review details a problematic transaction where a customer paid to have parts pulled but received an incomplete order and was denied a refund, with the blame being placed on the customer: "I was told it was never there and it was my fault. Wouldn’t refund my money and I as told it was my fault. Look at the photo. Sure looks like the part was there to me or there would be corrosion on that part." This particular feedback points to a lack of accountability and a potentially uncooperative approach to resolving customer disputes. The concluding remark, "If you want to get took, go to l and l is the moral of the story," is a strong warning that suggests a significant issue with trustworthiness and fair dealing in certain situations. Therefore, while the concept of a U-Pull-It yard offers cost benefits, the customer experience at this specific location, particularly regarding services requiring staff involvement or dispute resolution, appears to be a major area of concern.
In terms of promotional information, the inherent "promotion" of a "U-Pull-It" model is the promise of **low-cost auto parts**. Customers are drawn to these yards primarily for the significant savings they can achieve by doing the labor themselves. While specific advertised promotions are not provided in the reviews, salvage yards generally promote their extensive inventory and the potential for finding rare or affordable parts. They might also advertise the types of vehicles currently available in their yard.
However, based on the provided customer feedback, any promotional appeal for **L&L U-Pull-It** is significantly undermined by the negative experiences related to customer service and part availability. The "moral of the story" from one customer implies that the risks associated with transactions at this location may outweigh the potential savings. For local users in Kings Mountain considering **L&L U-Pull-It** at **4805 Anthony Farm Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086, USA**, it is crucial to manage expectations. Customers are advised to:
- **Verify part availability and condition meticulously** before paying, especially if opting for parts to be pulled by staff.
- **Document everything**, including agreements, payments, and the condition of parts.
- **Be prepared for a self-service experience** and bring all necessary tools.
- **Exercise caution** if encountering issues, as dispute resolution may be challenging.
Contacting them at **(704) 739-4633** to inquire about inventory is always recommended, but potential customers should also weigh the risks highlighted by previous experiences.

I found a driveshaft and rear axle for a dodge there. Paid good money to have the parts pulled for me. When I arrived to pick my parts up, I got the axle but only half of a driveshaft. I was told it was never there and it was my fault. Wouldn’t refund my money and I as told it was my fault. Look at the photo. Sure looks like the part was there to me or there would be corrosion on that part. If you want to get took, go to l and l is the moral of the story.

Would not recommend this place. I scheduled through Peddle a pickup for Monday and they called and said they couldn't pick it up until the following Monday between 7-11am. The day came and I asked for an estimated time and they said they couldn't give me one, not even a window of time. I waited all day called 5 times and they finally said the truck broke down and could make it. Absolutely no customer service and very unprofessional. I called Peddle and complained.

My edits are on down I give it 3 stars because I have had a few issues with them. But for the most part they are a good place to get your used parts. The cons, 1. most of the model parts I need are at the very top. And walking that road/hill is hell especially if it's wet. I was going to buy a set of rims, but the blonde lady in the office said that they wouldn't use their yard car to carry them down for me because it's to wet and slippery. If you know it's that bad then they should fix it a way that people can get their parts easier. Because I really, really wanted those rims. 2. Some of their prices are a bit to high for used. I didn't know it at the time but the blonde lady charged me more for a set of walmart brand 6X9 speakers, then what they are brand new. I was charged $20.00 for 2 door mirrors, when they should've been $10.00 to $15.00 tops. And $25.00 for a center console, when it should've been $15.00 tops. Cause it wasn't in the best of shape. I would say she isn't that friendly either. She not a butthole, but she isn't friendly either. The guys are cool, everyone of them has been real nice. My main problem though is that hill. And when your carrying a full bag of tools plus parts, it's gets a bit hard. And I've never seen a cart or been offered a cart to use. Other then those problems, it's actually a great place. They will give you all the info they have on the location of their cars, give you print outs etc. The yard is cleaner then all others. It's just really, really muddy. Unless it hasn't rained it a while, then your good lol. But I have and will continue to go there and recommend them. I think they just need to help people carry their parts down from that mountain of a hill lol. Not only after it rains but any time. People don't want to have to carry their parts 200 yards after spending hours taking it apart. Edit: 8/24. I've had to take it from 3 Stars down to 1 star. Their prices are getting way, way to high. The other day I was going to buy 8 coils, which they have sold in the past for $3.00 each. Now they are charging $10.00 each. That is more then what it cost for brand new ones onAmazon. Amazon has motorcraft coils for $88.00 for 8. I passed on it. Then I was charged $15.00 for a door cable which shouldve been $5.00 I wanted a set of mirrors that is on a truck. Both had cracks in them, and they still wanted $65.00 for both. Again I had to pass. Their starting to be like Lincolnton u pull it.. thinking their parts are brand new. And it use to be kept clean. Now it's so overgrown, you can't get under any vehicles. I now will not be recommending them anymore. Cause I really wanted those mirrors , but they wouldn't even negotiate. I would've gave $30 for both, but not no $65 So I tried them again the other week. They said for a truck bed is $350.00, but if it was in good condition $400.00. $85.00 for the tail gate. She said if it doesn't have dents in it, then it would be around $90 to $100. We come to the yard to find little nuggets. If we wanted beat up shit, then we would just keep ours. The owner is getting way to high on his parts. Hell even some of the workers told me the other day, that he won't even give them a discount. WTF. No way I'd work there unless I got a discount. Anyways, I go to Shelby u pull and got the step side bed, tail lights and tail gate for $250.00. no dents at all. And if Shelby tells you a price, that's the price you pay. Unlike l&l. They will tell you a price, then once they ring you up, it's way more. They wanted $15.00 for a plastic mirror cover that was chrome like. A damn cover. The owner needs to stop and read some of these reviews. Maybe then he may realize why he doesn't have that many customers anymore. Even the guys that work there say they are lucky to see 5 people in a day. And it's all because of his prices. To the owner, stop being so damn greedy. And stop deleting our comments about things from your Facebook.
