King's Motor Works Introduce

For vehicle owners in Brooklyn, New York, and the surrounding areas of Kings County, selecting a reliable auto repair station is a crucial decision for maintaining their vehicles. Within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations, King's Motor Works is located at 6209 9th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220, USA, offering a local option for automotive services. They can be contacted by phone at (718) 680-8878 or via their mobile number, +1 718-680-8878, for inquiries or to schedule appointments. Based on the available customer reviews, the experience at King's Motor Works presents a mixed perspective, with both positive and negative aspects highlighted.

Regarding the environment at King's Motor Works, the provided reviews offer limited direct insight into the physical space of the shop itself. However, one positive aspect mentioned is that they allow customers to bring their own oil for oil changes, which can be a convenience and potential cost-saving measure for some vehicle owners. This policy suggests a degree of flexibility and customer accommodation. On the other hand, a significant concern raised is that the shop parks customer cars on the street, which means that any parking tickets or responsibility for the vehicle while parked outside falls on the owner. This practice could be inconvenient and potentially costly for customers, suggesting a lack of secure or ample on-site parking.

The services offered at King's Motor Works, while not detailed in a comprehensive list, can be inferred from the nature of an auto repair station and the specific experiences mentioned in the reviews. They undoubtedly provide oil change services, as this is explicitly discussed. Additionally, the reference to a technician overfilling the oil and the need for the boss to correct it implies that they handle standard maintenance procedures. The fact that a customer mentions needing "something fixed" suggests they also undertake general repairs beyond basic maintenance. As a local auto repair shop, it is likely they offer a range of services such as brake repairs, tire services, battery replacements, and other common automotive maintenance and repair tasks. However, the reviews do not provide specifics on more complex services like engine or transmission work.

Several features of King's Motor Works can be identified from the customer feedback, both positive and negative. A notable positive feature is their policy of allowing customers to bring their own oil for oil changes, which is appreciated by at least one reviewer. Another mentioned positive is that their prices are considered reasonable. This could make them an attractive option for budget-conscious customers in the area. However, there are significant negative features that potential customers should be aware of. One is the reported issue of a technician making a mistake by adding too much oil, which, while corrected by the boss, raises questions about the attention to detail of some staff. More concerning is the feedback regarding the boss being rude and ignoring customers, which can lead to a negative customer service experience. Finally, the practice of parking customer cars on the street, with the associated risk and responsibility falling on the owner, is a significant drawback that could deter potential customers.

There is no information available regarding any specific promotional offers or discounts at King's Motor Works. Auto repair shops sometimes offer introductory deals, seasonal specials, or package deals on common services. However, based solely on the provided reviews, there is no mention of any such promotions. The primary factors influencing customer decisions based on this feedback would likely be the reasonable pricing and the option to bring their own oil, balanced against the concerns about service quality control, the rudeness of the boss, and the inconvenient parking situation.

The customer feedback for King's Motor Works presents a cautionary tale. While the reasonable prices and the "bring your own oil" policy might be appealing, the negative comments regarding a potentially inattentive technician, a rude boss who ignores customers, and the off-site street parking for vehicles are significant drawbacks. Potential customers will need to weigh these factors carefully. The comparison to "most Asian owned shops in the area" having decent prices, while subjective and potentially biased, suggests that price alone might not be a unique differentiator for King's Motor Works. The overall impression is of a shop with some basic service offerings at a reasonable cost, but with potential issues related to service quality and customer care, as well as logistical inconveniences regarding vehicle parking.

In conclusion, King's Motor Works, located on 9th Ave in Brooklyn, NY, offers auto repair services with some potential benefits, such as reasonable prices and the option to provide personal oil for changes. However, potential customers should be aware of reported issues including a technician's error in an oil change, allegations of a rude and dismissive boss, and the practice of parking customer vehicles on the street, which places responsibility and risk on the owner. While the basic services of an auto repair station are likely provided, the customer experiences suggest a need for caution and consideration of these potential drawbacks before choosing King's Motor Works for vehicle maintenance or repair needs in the Brooklyn area. Local users may want to seek additional reviews or consider these factors in relation to other auto repair options available in the vicinity.

King's Motor Works Customer Reviews

The guy put in an extra half a quart of engine oil and thought it was fine. I disagreed and his boss checked and asked him to drain the extra out. Otherwise, the service was good. They let you bring your own oil for change which I like. Prices are reasonable.

Boss is rude and ignores you. Price is decent but so are most asian owned shops in the area. They park your cars on the street so ticket and responsibility is all on yourself.

The staff in this place is amazeballs. I have been using this shop for years ever since my first car. They take the time to diagnose my car for anything and are very respectful of any concerns you have about your car. Very professional. The pricing is fair. I have had my strut, control arm and cv axle replaced (in one shot) for a thousand. Oil change is sixty dollars. And they diagnosed malfunctioning dashboard lights (I installed wrong phone based obd reader) for 85. I take care of them because they have always taken care of me. After several visits, I decided to give this place a five star review and here it is. Highly highly highly recommended.

This is the BEST place to bring your car for repairs. Loon and all his colleagues are great. They’re smart and friendly and very knowledgeable about all sorts of cars. I always call him whenever I need advice on my cars or am stuck in a jam. I’d have Loons babies if he’d let me 😘. I’m pretty sure he’s not there on Saturdays though. But the other mechanics are just as good so no worries!

Been using this shop for over 10 years now. Very honest people, especially Alan. Hes the mechanic with great knowledge and very trustworthy. He will tell you what need to be fix and what repair is unnecessary. The boss is a great guy as well, treated me like a friend.
