Keeler Service Center Introduce
For vehicle owners in Telford, PA, seeking automotive repair and maintenance services, Keeler Service Center operates as an "Auto Repair Station" located at 121 N Main St, Telford, PA 18969, USA. As a local service provider, they offer a range of vehicle-related services. An objective review of the provided information and customer feedback reveals insights into their operational aspects, service quality, and areas where customer expectations may vary.
The environment at Keeler Service Center, typical of an independent auto repair shop, would likely consist of functional service bays where mechanics perform repairs, along with a reception or waiting area for customers. The address on North Main Street suggests a presence within a more established part of Telford, potentially making it easily accessible for local residents. While specific details about the aesthetics or amenities of their facility are not provided, the primary focus for any auto repair station is the efficiency and capability of its workshop. Shops of this nature aim to provide a safe and organized space for vehicle servicing. The layout is generally designed to facilitate the flow of vehicles in for diagnosis, repair, and eventual pickup.
Based on the customer review provided, Keeler Service Center clearly offers services related to brake repair and replacement, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor replacement. As an "Auto Repair Station," it is reasonable to infer that their service offerings likely extend to other common automotive maintenance and repair tasks. These typically include:
- General Vehicle Diagnostics: Identifying issues with various vehicle systems, often indicated by warning lights or unusual vehicle behavior.
- Oil Changes and Fluid Services: Routine maintenance crucial for vehicle longevity.
- Tire Services: Beyond TPMS, this could include tire rotations, balancing, and new tire installation.
- Steering and Suspension Repairs: Addressing issues related to vehicle handling and ride comfort.
- Exhaust System Repairs: Fixing or replacing components of the vehicle's exhaust system.
- Battery Testing and Replacement: Ensuring reliable vehicle starting performance.
- Pre-purchase Inspections: Offering evaluations of used vehicles for potential buyers.
The specific mention of a "full brake replacement on a Chevy" and replacing a "tire air sensor" indicates their direct capabilities in these areas, which are fundamental services for most auto repair shops.
A significant feature highlighted by the customer review is the quality of their work. The reviewer explicitly states, "While their quality of work is excellent," and later reiterates, "He does do great work." This suggests that the technical execution of repairs by Keeler Service Center is generally of a high standard, leading to effective and reliable vehicle performance after service. This is a crucial positive attribute for any auto repair business, as reliable repairs are paramount to customer satisfaction and safety. The implication is that once the work is completed, the mechanical issue has been properly addressed.
However, the provided customer review also brings to light significant concerns regarding their pricing transparency and communication practices. The reviewer details a situation where the quoted price for a brake replacement on a 2016 Chevy Trax (at $495 to a third party) was perceived as excessively high, especially since the customer supplied all parts except brake grease. The final bill of $535, which was $40 over the quote, further exacerbated the issue, particularly with what the customer felt was an insufficient explanation for the additional charge (attributing it to TPMS sensor labor, which had a separate line item charge). The customer's research and comparison to industry standards ($60 per wheel for brakes, even on the high side) led to a feeling of being "ripped off and taken advantage of," and described their prices and communication as "insulting." The concern about business ethics and a request for a refund also underscore a substantial dissatisfaction with the billing process and justification.
This feedback suggests that while the technical quality of work is strong, there is a clear area for improvement in customer communication, pricing structure, and quote adherence. Effective communication involves providing clear, upfront estimates, explaining all charges thoroughly, and promptly addressing any discrepancies between a quote and the final bill, especially when the customer supplies parts. Transparency in labor costs, particularly when customers are knowledgeable about the work involved, is essential for building and maintaining trust.
Regarding promotional information, none is explicitly provided in the input. Auto repair stations typically promote their services through various means: competitive pricing, loyalty programs, warranties on parts and labor, and special offers on common services (e.g., oil change discounts, brake specials). In this case, the main promotional point would be the "excellent quality of work" as noted by the customer. However, this is significantly tempered by the strong negative feedback on pricing and communication. For a business like Keeler Service Center, addressing these areas of concern would likely be critical to their long-term success and customer retention. Building trust through fair pricing and transparent practices is as important as technical proficiency in the auto repair industry.
For those in Telford, PA, seeking automotive services, Keeler Service Center can be reached by phone at (215) 723-8445 or via mobile at +1 215-723-8445. When considering their services, potential customers might benefit from direct and detailed conversations about pricing, labor hours, and potential additional charges upfront to ensure full transparency before authorizing any work.

While their quality of work is excellent, it's not $300ish dollars an hour excellent. I had them do a full brake replacement on a Chevy and I supplied everything except the brake grease. It should take 15 to 20 minutes per wheel for pads and rotors. They quoted the price of $495 to a 3rd party which sent it to me by text message and I completely missed it. I have done my own brakes and rotors in the past so I know exactly how much work is involved. I was expecting the cost to be between $200 to $300 since it can take a bit of work to get the old rotors off. I like supporting Christian companies but I feel ripped off and taken advantage of, not something you would expect from a Christian. The final receipt has the labor coming to a total of $535 which is $40 over what they quoted and I supplied all of the parts. No explanation as to why they exceeded the quote on the invoice or actual time to complete the work. Update: They say the extra labor was for the labor to replace the tire air sensor. There was a separate $59 charge on the invoice which should have covered the labor since the part cost about $6 online.

Absolutely unacceptable price to replace brakes and rotors on a 2016 Chevy Trax when I supplied all the parts. $495 was quoted to a 3rd party who texted the price to me and I completely missed it. This price which was quoted is absolutely insane and should be ashamed of himself for overcharging to that degree. And then he goes $40 over the quoted price and claims that was was the labor to replace the tire sensor. There was a separate $59 charge for that on the receipt and since the part only costs a few dollars I assumed that included the labor. I have talked to other mechanics and did some research on Google. The going price is $60 per wheel and that's on the high side. Do your homework before he financially assaults your wallet. He does do great work but his prices and communication are insulting. If he had said that supplying my own parts would cost more I would have taken another route. His business ethics are equally insulting. At the very least he owns me and the 3rd party a major apology and a $200 refund. If there was an issue which justified a $450 price tag it should that on the invoice. The Break down was the front $285 the Rear $250 and TPMS Sensor $59.34

What a terrific service station. I used to use Keeler's when I worked close by in Telford, back in the 1990's to early 2000's and they were always great. Well, I find myself working a few minutes away again, so I decided to use them again for a motorcycle inspection and I was not disappointed. Brian and Diane still run the place and are as helpful and friendly as ever. They took care of me quickly and efficiently. It's great to have shops like this still around.
