A few days ago, I stuck my car in sand about 10 feet away from a drive way. It was my mistake, and my own insurance company wouldn't deal with the issue. So I called Kautz Towing, the nearest towing service at that location. The owner told me that their rate is $300 per hour, and asked for my credit card number through the phone. He said this is just to protect their business in case I changed my mind so they could hold $300 against my account. The tow truck arrived shortly for they are just 3 miles away. The guy pulled my car off the sand in a few minutes. But to my surprise, they told me that $300 was just an arrival fee!! On top of that, they still charged me the hourly rate - $300 per hour. What a rip-off! What angers me more than the price is that they are predators, waiting for people who are stuck in a helpless situation to rob them.

Mickey was amazing at getting us out from being stuck in the sand at the dunes. He was really fast and friendly. Great Experience turning a very stressful moment into a breeze. Would uses this business again.

My insurance roadside assistance did not communicate all the details of my situation and provided an incorrect location to Kautz. Jacob was pleasant and positive on the phone. They were timely and still towed my car even though I was located outside of their towing area.
