J & P Auto Repair is undoubtedly one of the most elite mechanic shop in the tri-state area. It is a challenge to put into words just how grateful I am to have stumbled upon such an exceptional and commendable group of mechanics. From the moment you step foot inside, you are greeted by a distinguished older Indian gentleman, while he may look intimidating, he is truly one of the nicest “gangsta” uncles I have met. When you express your concerns to him and Shaji (29 years of experience) devote ample time to fully comprehend your issue. Subsequently, they present you with a comprehensive diagnosis and provide recommendations. What sets them apart is their commitment to finding parts that precisely meet your needs without straining your budget, never resorting to overselling. If they believe your brake pads still have considerable life left, they are forthright about it, never pressuring you into an unnecessary replacement. Their authenticity was further attested when I entrusted them with my girlfriend's car. With limited knowledge about cars, she handed them a report from Pep Boys. To our astonishment, they deemed certain diagnoses excessive and unnecessary, focusing solely on the urgent requirements and offering significantly lower costs compared to Pep Boys. Undoubtedly, this establishment stands among the finest in town, fully deserving of its prestigious Carfax Top Rated Service Award.

They repaired my car so quickly and the price was the best I could find! They were also very friendly and explained everything to me. Highly recommend and will come back for anything else I might need in the future. So happy I found this place!

I went from Queens to the J & P Repair Shop looking for a second opinion for my BMW X5 based on the reviews I saw and they were all positive, I must say that my experience was very positive as well, they made a diagnosis of my vehicle and solved the most important thing, thanks to John and the support and patience of Nelson, a great person, I will return soon to resolve what is missing, thank you very much for the honesty and the fair price.

Satish was incredibly helpful looking at a Lexus ES330 I bought to ensure everything was maintained well. He noted the car should have a valve cover gasket, spark plug and ignition coil tune-up done soon which is very helpful as I commute long distances. I will definitely be using their shop for any repairs needed when in the area! Very friendly, transparent and accommodating.
