IPINA AUTO REPAIR Introduce

IPINA AUTO REPAIR, situated at 280 S 62nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19139-3720, operates as an "Auto Repair Stations" establishment. This designation implies that the business provides a variety of services related to the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of motor vehicles. As a local auto repair shop, its primary function is to serve the automotive needs of residents and businesses in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

Environment and Facilities

As a typical auto repair station, IPINA AUTO REPAIR would be expected to have a practical and functional environment. This generally includes a garage area equipped with multiple service bays, vehicle lifts, and a range of specialized tools and diagnostic equipment necessary for performing various automotive repairs. The setup is designed to allow technicians to efficiently work on different types of vehicles, from passenger cars to light trucks. While specific details about the aesthetics or customer amenities like a waiting lounge are not publicly available, most repair shops aim to provide a clean and organized workspace for their mechanics and a designated area for customer interaction, even if it's modest. The location on S 62nd St suggests a presence within a commercial or mixed-use area of Philadelphia, making it accessible to local vehicle owners. Typical operating hours for an auto repair shop like this would generally be weekdays, likely from morning to late afternoon or early evening, and potentially Saturdays, to accommodate customers' schedules.

Services Offered

IPINA AUTO REPAIR, as a general "Auto Repair Stations" facility, would offer a broad spectrum of services to address common vehicle issues and maintenance needs. These services typically encompass:

  • General Automotive Repair: This is the core offering, covering troubleshooting and fixing a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems that affect a vehicle's performance, safety, and reliability. This includes addressing check engine light issues, unusual noises, and performance concerns.
  • Engine Diagnostics and Repair: Identifying issues with the engine's various components, from spark plugs and ignition systems to more complex internal engine problems, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Brake Services: Comprehensive inspection, repair, and replacement of brake system components, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake fluid flushes, to ensure safe stopping power.
  • Oil Changes and Routine Maintenance: Performing essential preventative maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, fluid checks and top-offs (e.g., coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid), and visual inspections of belts, hoses, and filters.
  • Tire Services: While not exclusively a tire shop, a general auto repair station would typically offer tire rotations, balancing, flat tire repairs, and potentially new tire sales or installation.
  • Suspension and Steering Repair: Addressing issues with shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rods, and power steering systems to maintain proper vehicle handling and ride comfort.
  • Electrical System Repair: Diagnosing and fixing problems related to the battery, alternator, starter, wiring, lights, and other electronic components.
  • Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Service: Repairing and recharging AC systems, and troubleshooting heating system malfunctions to ensure cabin comfort.
  • Pre-purchase Inspections: Offering detailed inspections for individuals considering buying a used vehicle to identify any existing or potential mechanical issues.
  • State Inspections and Emissions Testing: Ensuring vehicles comply with Pennsylvania's safety and emissions regulations, a common and essential service for auto repair shops in the state.

The breadth of these services aims to provide a one-stop solution for most common automotive repair and maintenance requirements.

Features and Customer Experience

The defining features of IPINA AUTO REPAIR, based on the limited information available, are primarily related to its general auto repair capabilities. As a local establishment, it is expected to offer personalized service often found in independent repair shops, where direct communication with mechanics is more common.

However, a significant publicly available piece of information that heavily influences the perception of IPINA AUTO REPAIR is its "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This rating is attributed to "Failure to respond to 3 complaint(s) filed against business" and "3 complaint(s) filed against business." This indicates a notable concern regarding the shop's customer service, responsiveness to issues, and potentially the resolution of problems encountered by clients. For a business in the "Auto Repair Stations" category, an inability or unwillingness to address customer complaints is a critical negative feature, as trust and reliability are paramount in vehicle repair services. This suggests that while the shop may offer a range of services, the customer experience, particularly when issues arise, might be problematic.

In the absence of positive customer reviews to balance this information, the main feature that stands out from public records is this documented history of unresolved complaints. Typically, reputable auto repair shops pride themselves on transparent communication, fair pricing, and effective problem resolution, which directly contrasts with the implications of an "F" BBB rating due to unaddressed complaints.

Promotional Information

Specific, publicly advertised promotional information or ongoing deals for IPINA AUTO REPAIR are not readily available online. Auto repair shops, especially independent ones, often rely on word-of-mouth referrals and their reputation for quality service and fair pricing to attract and retain customers. However, standard promotional strategies for businesses in the "Auto Repair Stations" category often include:

  • Seasonal Maintenance Specials: Discounts on services like fluid flushes, battery checks, or tire inspections tied to seasonal changes (e.g., winter readiness, summer check-ups).
  • New Customer Discounts: A percentage off the first service for new clients.
  • Service Bundles: Packages combining common services like oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections at a reduced price.
  • Online Coupons: Offering printable or digital coupons through their website or local deal platforms, if they have an online presence.
  • Referral Programs: Incentives for existing customers who refer new business.

Given the public BBB rating, IPINA AUTO REPAIR might find it challenging to leverage standard promotional efforts without first addressing the underlying issues related to customer satisfaction and complaint resolution. For current pricing or any unadvertised specials, potential customers would need to contact IPINA AUTO REPAIR directly at their listed phone number, (610) 212-9552. However, based on the BBB information, customers are advised to proceed with caution and potentially inquire about their complaint resolution policies before committing to services.

IPINA AUTO REPAIR Customer Reviews

Words can’t describe how happy I am with this business.. Took my Jeep there after an accident to get body work and Alex knocked it out of the park with the work he’s done, and had it back to me in faster than I or anyone expected. Great shop, owned by a great guy.. before and after pics

7 months ago I brought my van in for transmission issues and it was not fixed correctly. First of all it took close to 2 months to get the service finished. Second of all, once it was finished the engine started stalling which that was never the case before I brought the van in. Now the van drives terrible and stalls at almost every stop. I DO NOT recommend anyone to bring your car there. SERIOUSLY!! BEWARE, they’re deleting the recent negative reviews I noticed my review I entered a couple weeks ago was deleted. UPDATE: now my van doesn’t reverse! Thanks for a shitty job once again smh!

Bad experience, they fix the cars poorly and they also take too long. My car has been in two months and they haven't delivered it.

Went to get transmission fluid put in my bf’s truck because she had never received any since we got her, but she wouldn’t reverse. Came back, and the car worked fine up until I got it home and turned it off. A few hours later I came out to try it again and fluid was leaking everywhere out of my transmission like a steady stream and no, my car went from just not reversing to not being drivable at all. She clonks about now making noise when turned on. Thanks for scanning me out of 150 bucks.
