Ignition Repair Allen Park MI Introduce

Ignition Repair Allen Park MI, situated at 23075 Outer Dr W, Allen Park, MI 48101, USA, operates within the specialized niche of the "Auto Repair Stations" category, focusing primarily on automotive ignition systems, keys, and fobs. This particular focus addresses a crucial aspect of vehicle functionality and security, providing solutions for common issues that can prevent a car from starting or being securely operated. The business can be reached by phone at (313) 528-9553 or mobile at +1 313-528-9553, indicating a direct line for clients experiencing problems with their vehicle's starting mechanism or keyless entry systems.

The environment associated with Ignition Repair Allen Park MI, based on one customer review, appears to be unconventional. The review mentions, "And their office is a restaurant - should have known then not to use them." This suggests that the physical location at 23075 Outer Dr W might not be a traditional automotive repair shop or a dedicated office space for an automotive locksmith. Instead, it might operate out of a shared space, or perhaps it primarily functions as a mobile service that uses a different physical address for administrative purposes. If it operates primarily as a mobile service, the "environment" would be the customer's location (home, workplace, roadside), emphasizing convenience over a traditional garage setting. If customers are expected to visit, the untraditional office space could impact the initial impression and perceived professionalism. For any automotive service, a clear, dedicated, and well-equipped environment typically instills confidence in clients. However, in a specialized mobile service, the physical 'office' might be less relevant than the technician's equipped vehicle and their ability to perform repairs on-site.

The services offered by Ignition Repair Allen Park MI are highly specialized, targeting common and critical problems related to vehicle starting, security, and access. Based on the customer review, their services explicitly include:

  • New Key and Fob Provision: Supplying and programming new car keys and key fobs, essential for modern vehicles with electronic ignition and security systems.

  • Key Programming: Ensuring that new or replacement keys and fobs are correctly programmed to the vehicle's immobilizer system, which is crucial for the car to start and for theft deterrents to function.

  • Ignition Cylinder Services: While not explicitly stated as a service performed, the business name "Ignition Repair" strongly implies that they handle repairs or replacements of faulty ignition cylinders, which are often the cause of a steering wheel locking or a car not starting.

  • Addressing Theft Deterrent Issues: As indicated by the customer's experience with the fob being a "theft deterrent" and causing the "fuel is shut off," the business deals with complex electronic security features that can impact vehicle operation.

These specialized services are vital for vehicle owners who experience issues that traditional mechanics might not be equipped to handle on-site, or who prefer a specialist for key and ignition-related problems. Their role within the "Auto Repair Stations" category is to provide precise, technical solutions for vehicle access and starting mechanisms.

The features of Ignition Repair Allen Park MI, as revealed by customer feedback, present a mixed picture. A positive aspect highlighted is the initial impression of professionalism and courteousness from the employee during the service. This suggests that the front-line interactions can be positive and helpful, at least initially, with the technician explaining the process of getting a new key and fob.

However, significant concerns are raised regarding the reliability of their work and their post-service customer support. The negative review states that "after 2 weeks the fob quite working and vehicles fuel is shut off" and that "they don’t want to even come see it’s a problem." This indicates a potential issue with the long-term functionality of the parts or programming provided and a critical lack of follow-through on addressing customer problems after payment. The reviewer also mentions that "Now they don’t even accept phone calls and no return calls," which points to severe deficiencies in customer service responsiveness and accountability. The fact that the "FOB is also theft deterrent" and its failure caused the fuel to shut off highlights the critical nature of the parts and programming they handle, and thus the importance of their reliability.

Given the nature of the services, a key feature should ideally be a guarantee or warranty on parts and labor, especially for electronic components like fobs and programming. However, the customer's experience suggests that such a guarantee, if it exists, was not honored or communicated effectively. The comment about the "office is a restaurant" also raises a red flag for some customers, suggesting a lack of a dedicated, professional automotive repair facility.

Based on the information available, there is no explicit promotional information provided for Ignition Repair Allen Park MI. Businesses specializing in emergency or niche services, such as key and ignition repair, might rely more on direct contact and reputation rather than extensive promotional campaigns. However, typical "Auto Repair Stations" or specialized automotive service providers might offer promotions such as:

  • New Customer Discounts: A small discount on a first service to encourage new clients.

  • Bundle Deals: For example, a discount on programming if a new key and fob are purchased together.

  • Mobile Service Fee Waivers: For some mobile services, the travel fee might be waived if the repair cost exceeds a certain amount.

  • Diagnostic Fee Applied to Repair: If they charge for diagnostics, the fee might be deducted from the cost of the repair if the customer proceeds with their service.

  • Seasonal Offers: Though less common for ignition repair, some auto service shops might offer discounts on general vehicle checks that include ignition system inspections.

Given the significant concerns raised in the negative review, potential customers are strongly advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging with Ignition Repair Allen Park MI. It is crucial to:

  • Verify current operational status and location: Confirm if the "office is a restaurant" situation is still applicable or if there's a dedicated service facility.

  • Discuss warranty and return policies upfront: Obtain clear, written information regarding guarantees on parts and labor, and what recourse is available if issues arise after the service.

  • Inquire about their call-back and follow-up procedures: Especially for critical vehicle components, understanding their commitment to post-service support is vital.

  • Seek multiple quotes and compare services: Given the review's suggestion of "other companies out there doing a better customer service," exploring alternatives might be prudent for peace of mind.

To obtain any possible promotional information or to clarify their service terms, interested parties should directly contact Ignition Repair Allen Park MI via phone at (313) 528-9553 or +1 313-528-9553. However, it is essential to be mindful of the reported communication issues.

In summary, Ignition Repair Allen Park MI, located at 23075 Outer Dr W, Allen Park, MI 48101, USA, and reachable at (313) 528-9553 or +1 313-528-9553, positions itself as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" for automotive key, fob, and ignition system issues. While aiming to provide essential services for vehicle starting and security, customer experiences, as highlighted by a detailed review, vary significantly, with positive initial interactions contrasting sharply with serious concerns regarding post-service reliability and customer communication. The atypical "office" location might also influence customer perception. Prospective clients should proceed with caution, thoroughly verifying service terms and seeking explicit guarantees on work performed.

Please don’t use them there are other companies out there doing a better customer service. Now they don’t even accept phone calls and no return calls.
