I was extremely impressed with the service they provide here! They went above and beyond when I came for an oil change and Kal was very pleasant to work with. It was my first time going today and I will definitely be using this mechanic going forward and would highly recommend others to as well.

This place is awesome, I love going here. Al, is a great guy, he's very nice and polite, and those his job with a pleasure, very honest, will never push on you something you don't need, nor will overcharge you for anything, their prices are considerably low, and I'm definitely recommending anyone to go here for anything you need for your car.

I've been to a lot of mechanic shops, but this is for sure the best one I've ever been to. Don't waste your time going to anyone else. Very honest, reliable and great prices. Trust me, this is the best mechanic shop in NYC.

This business place is honest and last 15 plus years been dealing with it. I never had a complain and they do excellent job and make you happy and no complain. Extremely Disappointed – Poor Pre-Purchase Inspection Cost Me Thousands I brought a 2016 Ford Transit to Pics Mechanic Shop for a pre-purchase inspection, trusting their expertise to help me make an informed decision. Unfortunately, their lack of thoroughness ended up costing me over $4,000 in unexpected repairs. The vehicle was briefly put on a lift and I was told it needed around $2,000 worth of brake and rotor work. When I asked specifically about the engine and transmission, I was given a vague shrug and told it was “good” and that these vehicles “last a long time.” No test drive was performed, no scan for transmission codes was mentioned, and no deeper diagnostics were done beyond a surface-level look. A week after I purchased the vehicle, the transmission began slipping and ultimately failed. A second mechanic later confirmed the transmission had previously been rebuilt—something that should have been identified or at least flagged as a concern during any proper inspection. If the seller had cleared the codes or used additives to mask an issue, that’s exactly what a professional shop should be able to detect. I paid this shop to do their due diligence, and they completely missed major red flags. I trusted their judgment and now I’m left with a vehicle that needs thousands in transmission repairs. This experience was not only disappointing, it was financially damaging. I would not recommend this shop for pre-purchase inspections unless you’re looking for a quick visual glance and generalizations rather than real expertise and accountability.
