HP Used Auto Parts Introduce
For local users, particularly those in and around Huntington Park, California, seeking cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions for vehicle repair, HP Used Auto Parts functions as a crucial Auto Repair Station in the sense that it supplies the necessary components for vehicle repairs. Unlike a traditional service garage, HP Used Auto Parts specializes in the sale of salvaged and recycled automotive components, providing a valuable resource for mechanics, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone looking to extend the life of their vehicle without the high cost of new parts.
The environment of HP Used Auto Parts is characteristic of a well-organized and efficient auto salvage yard or parts dismantler. One can expect a sprawling outdoor facility with numerous vehicles in various stages of dismantling, alongside indoor warehousing for inventoried and pre-pulled parts. The emphasis is on systematic organization, allowing staff to quickly locate and retrieve specific components. While the outdoor areas might be rugged due to the nature of the business, the indoor parts storage areas are typically cleaner and more structured. The primary focus is on efficient processing of vehicles and systematic categorization of parts to ensure availability and quality. For customers visiting the yard, there might be designated areas for inquiries and parts pickup. The overall atmosphere is driven by practical utility, providing a large and accessible inventory of diverse parts. The business operates during standard working hours, typically Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 3 PM, being closed on Sundays. Its location at 2461 Slauson Ave, Huntington Park, CA 90255, positions it within a key automotive service hub.
HP Used Auto Parts provides a specialized range of services and goods, predominantly focusing on recycled and salvaged automotive components:
- Sale of Used Auto Parts: This is their core business. They offer a vast inventory of second-hand parts for a wide variety of vehicle makes and models, including both foreign and domestic cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs. This inventory typically includes:
- Engines: Complete used engines, often tested for functionality.
- Transmissions: Both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Body Parts: Fenders, hoods, doors, trunks, bumpers, grilles, mirrors, headlights, taillights, and other exterior components.
- Interior Parts: Seats, dashboards, door panels, and other cabin components.
- Electrical Components: Starters, alternators, ECUs, wiring harnesses, and various sensors.
- Suspension & Steering Components: Shocks, struts, control arms, steering racks, and power steering pumps.
- Brake Components: Used calipers, master cylinders, and other brake system parts.
- Wheels and Tires: A selection of used wheels and tires.
- Other Miscellaneous Parts: Anything from radiators to exhaust manifolds.
- Auto Salvage and Recycling: They acquire wrecked, salvage, unwanted, and junk vehicles. They are involved in the environmentally responsible dismantling of these vehicles, recovering usable parts for resale and responsibly recycling the remaining materials. This contributes to a circular economy in the automotive industry.
- Parts Locating Service: For parts not immediately in their inventory, reputable used auto parts suppliers often offer a parts locating service, leveraging a network of other salvage yards to find the specific component a customer needs.
- Vehicle Purchasing: They also buy used, wrecked, or unwanted cars and trucks from individuals and businesses, replenishing their inventory.
Several features make HP Used Auto Parts a valuable resource for the local community:
- Cost-Effectiveness: The primary benefit of purchasing used auto parts is the significant cost savings compared to buying new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or even new aftermarket parts. This makes vehicle repairs more affordable, especially for older vehicles or those with minor damage.
- Extensive Inventory: A large and diverse inventory of used parts for a wide range of makes and models is crucial. HP Used Auto Parts likely maintains a substantial stock, increasing the chances of customers finding the exact part they need.
- Environmental Benefit: By recycling and reusing auto parts, HP Used Auto Parts contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing waste and the demand for new manufacturing. This appeals to environmentally conscious consumers and repair shops.
- Quality Control: Reputable used auto parts suppliers like HP Used Auto Parts often implement quality checks on the parts they salvage. They aim to sell only the "best" used parts available, and may even test critical components like engines and transmissions before sale.
- Parts Warranties: Many established used auto parts businesses offer warranties (e.g., 90-day limited warranties) on their salvaged parts. This provides customers with a level of assurance and protection for their purchase, mitigating the risk associated with buying used components.
- Expert Assistance: Knowledgeable staff can assist customers in identifying the correct part for their vehicle, even if they are unsure of the exact component needed. This expertise is invaluable for DIYers and smaller repair shops.
- Local Availability: Being a local establishment, customers can often visit the yard in person, inspect parts, and pick them up immediately, saving on shipping costs and time.
Promotional strategies for HP Used Auto Parts, like other auto salvage businesses, often revolve around highlighting affordability, availability, and environmental responsibility. While specific, active promotions might not always be publicized as typical retail sales, common approaches include:
- Price Competitiveness: Their primary promotional message is often the significant cost savings offered by used parts compared to new ones. They may emphasize "great prices on used tires, wheels, batteries and more."
- Inventory Highlights: Promoting the vastness and diversity of their inventory, particularly for late-model vehicles or hard-to-find components, can attract specific customer segments.
- Warranty Assurance: Clearly communicating any warranties offered on their used parts (e.g., "Ask About Our Outstanding Standard & Extended Parts Warranties!") builds trust and confidence in potential buyers.
- Environmental Benefits: Emphasizing their role in vehicle recycling and reducing landfill waste appeals to environmentally conscious customers. Their slogan "We sell the best and crush the rest" implies a commitment to responsible recycling.
- Online Parts Request Forms: Many modern salvage yards provide online forms where customers can submit parts requests. This streamlines the inquiry process and allows the yard to quickly check inventory and respond with availability and pricing.
- Local Delivery & Nationwide Shipping: Offering local delivery for repair shops and nationwide shipping expands their customer base beyond immediate geographical vicinity.
- Used Vehicle Purchasing: Promoting themselves as buyers of unwanted vehicles also serves as a way to acquire new inventory and indirectly promotes their parts sales.
- Customer Service Focus: While selling used parts can be transactional, good customer service (e.g., "Let our parts experts help..") can lead to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.

Cleanest parts place I've ever seen. Lots of parking.. they're even open on Saturday 8-3 and 8-5 Monday through Friday. I needed that plastic frame that goes around your radio on the dashboard. Ricardo helped me find the exact one I needed...... Even though they all look the same There are a lot of options on those things 🤪 They have a huge waiting room with a TV and a soda machine. They have the longest pothos hanging from the ceiling it's gorgeous.. if the plants are that happy there it has to be a good place 😎 I'm very satisfied with the service and I will be back

I have been coming to this place for over 15 years, I recently went to Hp to get a rear end for my 2005 chevy avalanche, spoke to the owner Rick as always and he said he had a perfect one with low miles, I asked him did he have a mechanic and he said yes, he charged me $700.00 $500 for rear end and $200 for the labor, I get a call the next day by rick and he states the mechanic said my driveshaft was damaged also and the mechanic said he would rebuild it for $250 (total $950.00 now) I fo to pay for work and get taken to the mechanic and ask to see my old parts.. The mechanic jose says to me oh no i just replaced the gears to the rear end that was it Because it was better to do then to replace the whole rear end (i paid for a complete rear end replacement to have it repaired would have only cost me $400 total but my mechanic said the lft axle was starting to go out as well so it would be cheaper to get complete rear end) i also ask the mechanic where was the parts to my driveshaft and he said oh i sent it out to be fixed) Rick closes at 5 and i got to the shop by 4:30 and rick does not get there until 9pm, I call my mechanic in the morning and he tells me to bring it in (they open at 7am) they take down the driveshaft which Rick said was in need of repairs by the mechankc and saw no work down on shaft.. No U joints or bolts replaced nothing and showed me.. When Rick gets to shop i tell him what happened and at first he denied it saying no he did put the rear end on, after i told him what the mechanic said and told him he showed me the parts he said he would call me right back... 5 mins later he call and says your right he did just replace the parts but the driveshaft was damaged, i asked rick did you go to the shop to see for yourself? He said no.. I told him i took it back to the shop and put it on the rack, i told him then why i wanted the complete rear end that i paid for and that he overcharged me, at least $400.. He told me to come back when I'm free and he would have the mechanic put the rear end on that i orginally bought.. I asked him that's not fair why did you not call me to tell me that the mechanic was rebuilding my rear end and not replacing it.. But yet you could call me to twll me the mechanic said my drivetrain needed to be fixed? He had no answer for me and i told him i did not want that mechanic touching my truck again. He lost a great customer. Please be warned ..
