Harrison's Rod and Custom Introduce
Harrison's Rod and Custom operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, but it is far from a typical repair shop. Instead, it is a highly specialized establishment dedicated to the art and science of building, restoring, and customizing hot rods, classic cars, and trucks. Located in Greeneville, Tennessee, Harrison's Rod and Custom is a renowned name in the custom automotive world, known for transforming vintage and modern vehicles into unique, high-performance, and visually stunning machines. They cater to a niche clientele of automotive enthusiasts who seek unparalleled craftsmanship and a distinct vision for their vehicles.
The environment at Harrison's Rod and Custom is that of a professional custom fabrication and assembly shop. Unlike a standard repair garage, the facility is meticulously organized to handle complex, multi-stage projects. One would expect to see dedicated areas for metal fabrication, bodywork, custom painting, engine assembly, and interior upholstery. The space is likely designed to accommodate vehicles in various stages of restoration and customization, from bare chassis to nearly completed showpieces. The atmosphere is one of focused creativity and precision, where skilled artisans work with specialized tools and equipment to bring ambitious automotive dreams to life. It's a place where attention to detail is paramount, and the pursuit of perfection is evident in every corner.
The services offered by Harrison's Rod and Custom go far beyond the routine maintenance and repair of a conventional auto shop. They are comprehensive and highly specialized, covering every aspect of custom vehicle building and restoration. Their expertise includes, but is not limited to:
- Full Custom Builds: Designing and constructing bespoke hot rods, custom trucks, and classic cars from the ground up. This involves conceptualization, chassis fabrication, drivetrain installation, and complete body and interior work.
- Restoration Services: Bringing classic and vintage vehicles back to their original glory or enhancing them with modern reliability and performance. This can range from concours-level restorations to restomods that blend classic looks with contemporary components.
- Chassis and Suspension Work: Expert fabrication and installation of custom chassis, advanced suspension systems (including air ride and coil-overs), and steering components to achieve optimal stance, handling, and ride quality. They are known for achieving a "killer stance" while maintaining driveability.
- Metal Fabrication: Highly skilled metal shaping, welding, and fabrication for custom body panels, frame modifications, and unique structural components.
- Custom Bodywork and Paint: Meticulous body preparation, dent repair, and high-quality custom paint jobs, often featuring multi-stage finishes and intricate detailing that result in show-winning appearances.
- Engine and Drivetrain Installation: Installation and tuning of high-performance engines (including big block power), transmissions, and custom exhaust systems for enhanced power and sound.
- Custom Interior Fabrication: Designing and crafting bespoke interiors, including custom seating, dashboard modifications, upholstery, and integration of modern audio and climate control systems.
- Electrical System Integration: Wiring and integrating complex electrical systems for modern components, lighting, and entertainment features in classic vehicles.
- Performance Upgrades: Enhancing various aspects of a vehicle's performance, such as brake upgrades (e.g., CPP Big Brake kits), steering conversions, and cooling system improvements.
- Component Integration: Working with leading aftermarket manufacturers to integrate high-quality parts, such as those from Auto Metal Direct (AMD), Classic Performance Products (CPP), Vintage Air, Kicker, Memphis Audio, and more.
Several features make Harrison's Rod and Custom a standout in the custom automotive industry. Foremost is their deep understanding of the "hot rod" aesthetic combined with a strong emphasis on driveability. They are renowned for building vehicles that not only look incredible and win awards at shows but are also genuinely fun and reliable to drive on the street. This dual focus is a significant differentiator. Bryan Harrison, the driving force behind the shop, is a respected figure in the custom truck and hot rod community, often collaborating with industry leaders and featured in automotive publications and videos. This involvement speaks to their reputation and influence. Their meticulous attention to detail, from precision welding to flawless paint finishes, ensures that every project is a work of art. The ability to handle a project from conception to completion, covering every aspect of a build in-house or with trusted partners, provides a seamless experience for clients. They are particularly known for their work with classic trucks, especially "Squarebody" models, showcasing their specialized expertise in this popular segment.
As a highly specialized custom shop, Harrison's Rod and Custom's promotional information differs from that of a typical auto repair station. Instead of offering discounts on oil changes or tire rotations, their "promotions" are more about showcasing their craftsmanship, building their brand, and engaging with the enthusiast community. These might include:
- Showcase Builds and Giveaways: They have participated in significant projects, such as building vehicles for giveaways at major events like the NSRA Street Rod Nationals, which serves as a powerful demonstration of their capabilities and generates immense visibility.
- Featured in Publications and Media: Their work is frequently highlighted in automotive magazines (e.g., Classic Truck Performance) and YouTube channels (e.g., United by Trucks, AMD Garage). This exposure acts as a high-level endorsement and showcases their expertise to a broad audience of potential clients.
- Event Participation: Active involvement in major car shows, street rod nationals, and custom truck events allows them to display their finished projects, network with enthusiasts, and attract new clients.
- Collaborations with Industry Sponsors: Partnerships with leading aftermarket parts manufacturers (e.g., AMD, CPP, Vintage Air, Kicker) not only provide access to top-tier components but also serve as a mutual promotional benefit, showcasing their integration capabilities.
- Social Media Engagement: Maintaining a strong presence on platforms like Instagram and YouTube to share progress on builds, highlight completed projects, and interact with followers, effectively building a community around their brand.
Prospective clients interested in Harrison's Rod and Custom's services would typically reach out directly to discuss their specific project needs and obtain a custom quote. Their promotional efforts are more about demonstrating their unique capabilities and craftsmanship rather than offering conventional discounts, as each project is a bespoke creation.
In summary, Harrison's Rod and Custom is an elite "Auto Repair Station" that specializes in the comprehensive building, restoration, and customization of hot rods, classic cars, and trucks. Located in Greeneville, TN, they are recognized for their exceptional metal fabrication, custom paint, performance integration, and a unique ability to create show-winning vehicles that are engineered for driveability. Their environment is a dedicated workshop for automotive artistry, and their features include unparalleled craftsmanship, industry recognition, and a passion for creating unique, high-performance machines for discerning enthusiasts. While not offering traditional "promotions," their extensive portfolio of high-profile builds and strong presence in the custom automotive community serve as a testament to their expertise and attract clients seeking the ultimate in automotive personalization.

Harrison's Rod and Custom Customer Reviews
I have watched many YouTube videos and read as many magazine articles as possible of Bryan Harrison's Rod and Custom builds, predominantly C10 truck builds. I was ready to upgrade my exhaust from headers to tips and tried to find the right part numbers myself and failed. I finally just googled the shop number and who answers the phone none other than Bryan Harrison himself. Brayn was super helpful and then pointed out that he was not just a fan of these brands but also used them and sold them. Bryan helped me put together an order and it was spot on! If you have questions? just call or message him. I will be contacting him in the future as i make more modifications to my old 77 Chevy truck. Thank you Bryan Harrison!

I am super happy with my experience with Harrison's Rod and Custom. Bryan did a great job lowering my Dad's 1500 W/T. This included his signature suspension lowering work, custom tires and wheels, and some brake work. I hope to do and engine swap in the future, to give it that great Harrison/David's engine shop thumping sound. Bryan has a wealth of knowledge, but doesn't try to upsell you...unless that's what you want. :-)

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Harrison's Rod and Custom. Bryan and the gang did a fantastic job on my C-10. I had heard good things about him so I gave him a call and worked out a deal to send him my truck for his signature suspension lowering work, custom tires and wheels, some brake work, some detailing under the truck (wheel wells, frame, etc.), and a few other odds and ends. My Dad and I have been building cars, trucks, and motorcycles my entire life so sending my truck to someone else was a new experience for me but I really wanted the look that only Harrison's can get on these C-10's. After talking with Bryan, he eased my mind and I shipped my truck 8 hours away to his shop. He made the experience awesome and the communication back and forth throughout the process couldn't have been better. It's very rare these days to find someone that does what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, but Bryan and the gang did exactly that. I got my truck back this week and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of workmanship, the level of knowledge to get it exactly right, and the fine details that went into finishing my truck. Not to mention it rides 100 times better than factory, and much better than my 2018 GMC which I lowered with high end products. Bryan and his shop are the real deal. I've owned a lot of high end custom vehicles through the years but because of the work Harrison's did for me, this is hands down my favorite of all. If you need work done on your C-10, muscle car, or hot rod, do yourself a favor and get ahold of Bryan. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I must say that Bryan Harrison is just an amazing person to work with. Back about six months ago a friend referred me to Bryan to get some wheels, and after talking to Bryan he got right on it with getting me the wheels I was looking for, unfortunately Covid had a different plan. I gave him my word that I would give him my business and so Bryan kept in touch with me periodically and keeping me updated on the status of the back ordered wheels. As soon as he got word that the wheels were in stock he made sure that with all the other back orders the wheel company had, mine was one of the first shipments out. Great person to work with , honest and never once asked me to pay him for something he knew was months away form me getting. Outstanding customer service!! Just overall great guy!! Thank You Bryan and Harrison Rod and Custom
