Greg Hullett Automotive Customer Reviews

Great services. I was traveling from Tennessee to Georgia with my coworker around 5:30pm and our car stopped working. We called this place and he helped us very quickly, even when the place was already closed. he answered the phone call and got there to help. Very professional.

Where do I start ? My car was worked on there last year, and I have debated leaving a review since then, until this last issue that arose. I took my car to this place last year for a timing belt replace and to replace the rear struts. Was told it would be done in a day. Turned into 3. When I picked my car up, I drove it a mile and turned around due to a thumping noise coming from the rear. Drove it back and was told "yeah a linkage bolt stripped on the rear but we were able to get it back in there." Really ? So he says he'll fix it but he'd have to order the part and I would have to come back. The next day I was driving to work and as I am going down the mountain, my power steering starts to fail !! I man handled it all the way to the bottom where I could finally pull over to find my alternator so loose I could move it by hand (same belt as my power steering pump). I tightened it and drove it to work. Called the shop owner when they opened to let him know what happened. He offered to come get it but I told him I had already fixed it. I just wanted to let him know !! The linkage bolt mentioned earlier finally comes in, and I take it back, and they did fix that. I drove it a couple of months (nobody else has touched the car) and checked my fluids and notice my antifreeze level was low. Filled it up and monitored it every week or so. I noticed I was losing coolant and having to "top off" every couple of weeks but never looked too much into it because not too long after, I get a newer car and only started using this car for a backup. I did notice the word "coolant" written on my reservoir that was not written on there before which was strange. The other day, when I was changing one of the belts, I noticed some antifreeze on the bottom of the inside bottom of wheel well. So, I finally took the time to further investigate this coolant loss issue. That's when I realized the coolant was slowly coming from the reservoir a little at a time. Not sure how I never noticed before, but like I said, I don't drive it much. After digging more, I ran the part number on the side of the reservoir, and it goes to a KIA !! My car is a Hyundai. It must have gotten broken when the timing belt was being changed, but I was never told about it, and they just slapped some junk that they had laying around in there and figured I wouldn't notice ! Well, it took me over a year, but I did notice ! And I ordered the factory reservoir for it, which looks nothing like the junk they put in there. This review is in no way a reflection of Hulletts Tire and Lube (Morrison) next door. They do great work. This is the old garage across the road that says Hwy 55 South Motor Company on the front. And for the record, I have owned this car for 4+ years, and nobody else has mechanically worked on this car but me. I absolutely do NOT recommend this "shop" to anyone. There may be different mechanics there now than there was last year. At least I hope so !!

I had two different vehicles break down the same day🤪. The guys were outstanding. Greg even came to meet me shortly after closing and got my second vehicle working enough to move it to his shop. Both repairs were completed quickly and at a good price. They actually fixed a problem on my F150 that another garage had misdiagnosed over a year ago and said would be too expensive to attempt. But now it is running great. Couldn’t be happier. They are now my first choice for any repair work.

Honest, affordable, and dependable. The great group of guys that don't try and sell you things that you don't need. They get you back on the road without taking all your money or wasting all your time. Support small businesses like this! They are becoming an extinct thing.
