Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers Introduce
Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers, located at 6880 Franklin-Lebanon Road, I-75, Exit 36, Franklin, OH 45005, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. As its name suggests, this establishment is specifically geared towards serving the needs of commercial vehicles, primarily focusing on tire sales and service for trucks, buses, and potentially other fleet vehicles. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of what local commercial vehicle operators and drivers can expect from this service center, including its environment, specialized services, and, importantly, an analysis of customer experiences based on available public feedback.
As a commercial tire and service center, the Goodyear facility at 6880 Franklin-Lebanon Road, conveniently located off I-75 at Exit 36, is strategically positioned for easy access by large commercial vehicles. The environment of such a center is typically industrial and functional, designed to handle the scale and specific requirements of commercial trucks and trailers. Key aspects of its environment would include:
Large Service Bays: Ample space and heavy-duty equipment to accommodate semi-trucks, buses, and other large commercial vehicles for tire service, repairs, and potentially other maintenance needs.
Extensive Tire Inventory: A substantial stock of commercial-grade tires (e.g., steer tires, drive tires, trailer tires) from Goodyear and possibly other brands, catering to various commercial applications and specifications.
Fleet-Oriented Facilities: The setup often includes areas for large vehicle parking, and potentially facilities for drivers (such as waiting areas, though specifics for this location are not detailed).
Roadside Service Dispatch: Given its nature, the facility likely serves as a hub for dispatching mobile tire service units for roadside assistance, a critical service for commercial fleets experiencing breakdowns on the road.
The location's proximity to a major interstate (I-75) is a significant advantage, making it a convenient stop for commercial drivers traveling through the region who require immediate tire attention or scheduled service.
Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers specialize in comprehensive tire solutions and related services for the commercial trucking industry. Their primary "goods for sale" are new commercial tires, often accompanied by extensive warranties and support programs. Their "services" are highly specialized for heavy-duty vehicles:
Commercial Tire Sales: Offering a wide range of Goodyear and other brand commercial tires, including long-haul, regional, urban, and off-road applications.
Tire Mounting and Balancing: Professional installation and balancing of commercial truck tires to ensure proper wear and vehicle handling.
Tire Repair: Specializing in commercial tire repairs, including tire plugs (as mentioned by a customer) and patches, which are often more complex for heavy-duty tires due to their size and construction.
Fleet Services: Providing tailored programs for commercial fleets, which may include tire management, regular inspections, retreading services, and roadside assistance.
24/7 Roadside Assistance: A critical service for commercial vehicles that experience tire issues on the road, where a mobile unit is dispatched to the breakdown location for emergency repairs or replacements.
Wheel Alignment for Commercial Vehicles: Ensuring proper alignment for heavy trucks and trailers to optimize tire life and fuel efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance: Some centers also offer basic preventive maintenance services for commercial vehicles, though their core expertise remains tires.
Their position within the "Auto Repair Stations" category specifically addresses the unique needs of commercial vehicles, which require specialized equipment, expertise, and inventory compared to passenger car repair shops.
The customer reviews provide a stark and critical perspective on the operational features and customer experience at this specific Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center. These reviews highlight significant concerns:
Poor Customer Service and Rudeness: A recurring theme is the perceived rudeness and lack of professionalism from the staff, particularly the "lady that works behind the desk." One customer describes her as "very rude" and using a "smart way" of speaking, not treating customers with respect. This directly impacts the initial interaction and overall impression.
Lack of Responsiveness and Availability of Technicians: Despite a clear need for a simple "tire plug" that "would have only took that technician 5 minutes," customers reported being told no technicians were available on-site, even when one was visibly present. This indicates a potential issue with resource management or a reluctance to perform quick, minor repairs when larger jobs might be prioritized, causing significant inconvenience for customers in "a very bad spot."
Excessive Waiting Times: Customers report "sit for hours waiting for tire repair," with the perception that staff is "more concerned with his personal phone call with his mom than doing his job" and prioritizing "tires that are gonna just sit there til a customer calls" over vehicles actively waiting for service. This lack of urgency and apparent disregard for a customer's time is a major detractor, especially for commercial drivers who operate on strict schedules.
Mismanagement of Priorities: The criticism regarding prioritizing non-urgent tasks over waiting customers suggests a fundamental flaw in their service delivery model or management's directive. This directly impacts customer efficiency and trust.
Lack of Professionalism: The reviews explicitly state that the service is "not very professional" and advise others to "stay far away from here" if on a time schedule. This strong negative sentiment indicates a significant disconnect between operational standards and customer expectations.
The cumulative effect of these issues leads to a "horrible service" and "huge disappointment," with customers vowing not to recommend the place and wishing for a "negative star button." The phone numbers, (937) 746-9270 and +1 937-746-9270, are provided for contact, but the customer experiences imply challenges in receiving timely and respectful service via these channels.
Specific promotional campaigns for this particular Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center are not provided. Typically, Goodyear's national brand recognition and reputation for tire quality would be a primary promotional asset. However, for this specific location, the overwhelmingly negative customer reviews significantly overshadow any potential positive brand association or general promotional efforts. In the commercial vehicle service industry, reliability, speed, and clear communication are paramount, as downtime translates directly to lost revenue for businesses and drivers.
A successful commercial tire and service center would typically promote:
24/7 Roadside Assistance: Highlighting their rapid response times for emergencies.
Extensive Inventory: Emphasizing the wide range of commercial tires always in stock.
Fleet Management Solutions: Tailored services for commercial businesses.
Expert Technicians: Promoting the skills and experience of their service personnel.
Efficiency and Quick Turnaround: Crucial for commercial drivers on tight schedules.
Based on the provided customer feedback, this Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center appears to be struggling significantly in several of these key promotional areas, particularly efficiency, customer service, and the availability/prioritization of technicians. The negative word-of-mouth generated by these experiences would be a considerable impediment to attracting and retaining local business. To improve their standing and attract the commercial clientele they aim to serve, addressing the issues of customer service, communication, and operational efficiency, particularly regarding technician availability and job prioritization, would be crucial for this Franklin, OH location.

Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers Customer Reviews
Horrible service no technicians available on one site after we clearly seen one. She said he had to leave and we was in a very bad spot. The lady that works behind the desk is very rude . when we only needed a tire plug would have only took that technician 5 minutes.. She got smart and said, well, if you want to sit here, you can wait for my technician to come back from out of town. A couple hours away, but she said it in a smart way, not very professional. And um, and I wouldn't recommend this place is, or even give them one star. The lady does not treat customers with respect.

I’m looking for the negative star button… their customer service sucks. The services writer is more concerned with his personal phone call with his mom than doing his job… then you sit for hours waiting for tire repair because doing tires that are gonna just sit there til a customer calls is way more important than working on the guy tires that is there waiting and needs to be on down the road…so if you are in any kind of time schedule stay far away from here. If you have all the time in the world and could care less this is the place for you!!

This place is an awful place to fix your truck. I came to repair my tire o was keep asking how much you charge me for a pach she was refusing to tell me the price. Finally after 5 hours the guy patched my tire and she was asking for $147 while patching cost only $65 she was very rude and one of the employees short hair with back glasses wore supper disrespectful. After I discussed the prices they came down to $80 but very rude people I will never go here again and I do not recommend this place to any one .

5/16/23. Stopped here for fuel filter replacement. Shop was completely empty and one employee was working on tires. I thought this will be a good place. Man was I way off!!! I rattled off my fuel filter numbers. She said she had one but not the other. I called NAPA right in front of her. They had 4 on hand. Then she suddenly realized she made a typo and she has them too. I said wonderful!!!! How long to swap them out? I waited well over a hour. Watched the employees tap and play on their phones. They did absolutely NOTHING the entire time I was there. What a joke. I walked back in and grabbed the filter I paid for and left. If I would have bought $10k worth of tires I'll bet it would have gone down differently. This is a tire store, not a repair facility. I personally cannot wait for their B.S. apology rebuttal. Or any rebuttal for that matter. I DO NOT recommend!!!!
