George Coleman Ford Collision Introduce
George Coleman Ford Collision, situated at 621 US-25, Travelers Rest, SC 29690, USA, functions as an "Auto Repair Station" with a specific focus on collision and body repair services. As a dealership-affiliated body shop, it typically specializes in restoring vehicles, particularly Ford models, to their pre-accident condition after collisions, addressing both structural and cosmetic damage. However, based on recent customer feedback, the experiences reported by individuals bringing their vehicles to this facility have raised significant concerns regarding the quality of workmanship and customer communication.
The environment at George Coleman Ford Collision, as conveyed through customer experiences, appears to be one where initial reassurances are given, but the follow-through on repairs has been inconsistent. While a typical collision center environment would feature dedicated bays for bodywork, painting, and structural repair, the critical reviews suggest that the quality control within these operations may require substantial improvement. Customers describe a process where issues identified post-repair were not adequately addressed on subsequent attempts. This indicates that while the facility may be equipped to handle various types of collision damage, the execution and final inspection processes have, in some instances, fallen short of customer expectations for a professional body shop.
As an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in collision repair, George Coleman Ford Collision would typically offer a range of services designed to restore a damaged vehicle. These commonly include:
- Collision Repair: Comprehensive structural and cosmetic repairs following an accident.
- Body Panel Replacement and Repair: Fixing or replacing damaged exterior components such as bumpers, fenders, doors, and hoods.
- Paint Services: Matching and refinishing vehicle paint to seamlessly integrate new or repaired panels.
- Frame Straightening: Utilizing specialized equipment to restore a vehicle’s frame to factory specifications after significant impact.
- Mechanical Repairs related to Collision: Addressing mechanical components that may have been damaged in the accident, such as suspension, steering, or engine components.
- Diagnostics: Identifying underlying issues caused by the collision, including electrical problems or sensor malfunctions.
- Poor Paint Quality: Specific mentions of "extremely poor paint quality" and "paint bubbles" even after a second attempt at repair.
- Fitment Problems: Complaints about "multiple issues, including missing parts, fitment problems," "panel lines are still visibly out of place," and a "loose" front bumper.
- Missing Parts and Hardware: Instances where parts were still missing even after the vehicle was returned for corrective repairs.
- Functional Issues: Critical problems like a non-functioning tailgate latch wire, license plate lights illuminating with brake pedal press, and non-functional trailer wiring after extended repair times.
- Misalignment: A noticeably off alignment between the truck bed and cab.
The defining features of George Coleman Ford Collision, based on the provided customer reviews, unfortunately point to areas of significant concern rather than positive attributes. The recurring themes in the feedback include:
- Inconsistent Repair Quality: Despite multiple attempts, fundamental issues with paint, panel fitment, and missing parts remained unaddressed. This suggests a lack of robust quality control.
- Extended Repair Times: One customer reported their vehicle being in the shop for "over three months" for repairs, only to discover critical functions were compromised upon pickup, and then an additional "four weeks" without bodywork being addressed. This indicates substantial delays and inefficient workflow.
- Poor Communication and Accountability: Initial reassurances from staff like Robert and Travis were reportedly not followed through with satisfactory results. Later, communication with Jay suggested an attempt to "distance themselves from the responsibility of fixing my truck," advising the customer to pursue the issue with their insurance company rather than taking direct ownership.
- Lack of Attention to Detail: Issues such as an unconnected tailgate latch wire and incorrect electrical connections (brake lights illuminating license plate lights) indicate a failure in thorough final inspection and attention to crucial functional details.
Given the nature of the provided customer feedback, specific promotional information or enticing offers from George Coleman Ford Collision are not highlighted in a positive light. Instead, the current information suggests that potential customers would be wise to conduct thorough due diligence. The experiences shared by former customers serve as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the importance of scrutinizing repair quality, communication, and timelines before committing to services. While a dealership-affiliated body shop typically benefits from the brand reputation, these reviews indicate that individual performance can vary. Prospective customers should consider direct inquiries about repair processes, warranty policies, and clear communication protocols. For contact, George Coleman Ford Collision can be reached at (864) 610-2655 or +1 864-610-2655. However, based on the objective information available, potential clients should approach this particular location with caution and perhaps seek multiple estimates and references before proceeding with significant collision repairs.

George Coleman Ford Collision Customer Reviews
The pictures are from their second attempt to repair our car. A very poor experience overall with this body shop. Robert and Travis initially reassured me that they could handle the front-end damage repairs. However, when we received our car back, there were multiple issues, including missing parts, fitment problems, and extremely poor paint quality. When I addressed these concerns with Robert and Travis in person, we walked around the car, pointing out the visible issues. They took notes and some pictures, assuring me they would address these. We scheduled another appointment and dropped the car off for corrective repairs. Upon receiving the car back for the second time, none of the issues had been corrected, and the missing parts were still not addressed. It appeared that they had merely buffed the hood in an attempt to minimize the paint bubbles and provided us with a new dipstick. I was embarrassed for them, as I couldn't imagine returning a vehicle to a customer in such a condition. The panel lines are still visibly out of place along with the same missing parts and hardware. The entire front bumper is still loose and able to be moved by hand. Pointing out these issues, we were told that "the parts need time to work in" and "these are aftermarket, and they won't fit." However, I later found out that the parts were not aftermarket. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, but I hope they take the time to address their quality control to better serve their customers.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with George Coleman Collision after bringing in my 2019 Ford F-150, which was rear-ended on I-85 in Greenville, SC. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations, and I feel compelled to share my experience. My vehicle was in their shop for over three months for repairs, and when I finally picked it up, I noticed several issues right away. The alignment between the truck bed and cab was noticeably off, and the fitment of the bumper and tailgate was poor. After some hesitation, I took the truck home, but the following day, while traveling for work, I encountered a major problem—the tailgate latch wasn’t functioning at all. When I stopped to check, I discovered that the latch wire had never been connected. To make matters worse, I noticed that when I pressed the brake pedal, the license plate lights would illuminate, and the trailer wiring was also non-functional. I was extremely frustrated that after three months in the shop, not only was the bodywork unsatisfactory, but several critical functions were compromised. Before returning the truck, I noticed a leak from the ring and pinion seal, which I also reported. I dropped the truck back off at George Coleman Collision and explained all the issues, including the misalignment. I had to wait another four weeks to get my truck back, and when I finally did, I was shocked to find that the only thing repaired was the ring and pinion seal. No bodywork had been addressed. Throughout this ordeal, I initially dealt with Robert, who is apparently no longer with the company. The second person I communicated with was Jay. While he was polite, it was clear that they wanted to distance themselves from the responsibility of fixing my truck. He suggested that I take it up with my insurance company, which felt dismissive. Overall, my experience with George Coleman Collision has been extremely disappointing. For a $17,500 insurance repair, the fit and finish of their work were mediocre at best. I cannot recommend this body shop, and I sincerely hope they do not treat other customers in the same way. If you're considering a repair shop, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

My experience with Coleman Ford Collision Center was very positive. Dee responded promptly to my telephone enquiries and arranged for me to see Jay as soon as I arrived. Jay reviewed the front right passenger door (damaged in a t-bone accident several years ago) that was hard to close and determined that the hinge bolts were loose. He assured me that the previous repair work had been done correctly but that the hinge bolts had worked loose. He further noted that this exploratory effort would not cost me anything and proceeded to tighten the bolts and retest the door hang for better closing. After the test drive, Jay readjusted the latch for better alignment and the job was complete. I was encouraged by Dee's courtesy and Jay's professionalism and completely satisfied with the successful repair experience--thank you!

Beth, Robert and Travis are all very nice and professional. They did a wonderful job communicating the timeline of the repair and stuck to it. The damaged wheel, fender, and passenger door have no signs of anything wrong. Everything is as good as new. Working with them made a bad situation a little brighter.
