Foxwood Auto Salvage Introduce

For local users in and around Wampum, Pennsylvania, seeking affordable auto parts, Foxwood Auto Salvage, located at 522 Foxwood Rd, Wampum, PA 16157, presents itself as a potential resource within the platform category of "Auto Repair Stations" that also provides goods for sale. They can be contacted at (724) 774-3386 or +1 724-774-3386.

Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Foxwood Auto Salvage is described as a "small yard." This suggests that it may not be a large, highly organized retail space like a traditional auto parts store. Instead, it is likely a salvage yard where vehicles are kept for dismantling, and parts are removed and stored. Customers visiting the location should anticipate an environment typical of a salvage yard, which may involve navigating through various vehicles or stacks of parts. The review mentioning calling ahead to ensure availability also implies that the inventory and accessibility of parts might be dynamic and subject to change as vehicles are processed.

As an "Auto Repair Station" that functions as an auto salvage yard, the primary services offered by Foxwood Auto Salvage revolve around the sale of used auto parts. These services typically include:

  • Sale of used auto parts: Providing a more budget-friendly alternative to new parts, sourced from salvaged vehicles. This can include a wide range of components such as engines, transmissions, body panels, interior parts, electrical components, and more.
  • Part retrieval: Staff members likely assist in locating and retrieving the specific parts needed by customers from the vehicles in the yard or from their inventory.
  • Potential for self-service: Depending on their operational model, they might allow customers to remove parts themselves, which can sometimes lead to even lower prices. However, the review mentioning staff being "easy to deal with" suggests they might handle the part retrieval.
  • Information on part availability: Customers can contact them via phone to inquire about the availability of specific parts for their vehicle makes and models.

Several features of Foxwood Auto Salvage can be gleaned from the limited customer feedback:

  • Affordable pricing: One customer specifically mentioned getting the needed part for a "great price," indicating that cost-effectiveness can be a significant advantage of sourcing parts from this salvage yard.
  • Small yard with potentially limited inventory: The description as a "small yard" suggests that their inventory might be more limited compared to larger auto parts retailers or salvage operations. This reinforces the advice to call ahead to check for part availability.
  • Variable customer experience: The two contrasting reviews highlight a potential inconsistency in customer experience. One customer reported a "very positive experience" with helpful and fair service, while the other described a negative experience involving misrepresented products and wasted travel time.
  • Direct interaction with staff: The positive review mentions dealing with "Junior and his crew," suggesting a more direct interaction with the owners or staff who are involved in the day-to-day operations.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Foxwood Auto Salvage based on the provided data. Auto salvage yards typically operate on the principle of offering used parts at lower prices than new ones. Their "promotional" aspect is often inherent in their pricing model and the potential for finding rare or discontinued parts that might not be available elsewhere. Local users might occasionally find specific discounts or offers, but this would usually require direct inquiry.

The contrasting customer reviews present a mixed picture for potential local users. The positive review emphasizes the possibility of finding needed parts at good prices and highlights the helpfulness and fairness of the staff. This suggests that for some customers, Foxwood Auto Salvage can be a valuable resource. The recommendation to call ahead is crucial for managing expectations and ensuring that the required part is likely available before making a trip.

However, the negative review raises significant concerns regarding the accuracy of product descriptions, the reliability of online listings (if applicable, as a Facebook post was mentioned), and the overall customer service experience in certain situations. The customer who traveled an hour based on a misleading listing and found the parts to be misrepresented had a very negative encounter, indicating a potential lack of attention to detail or transparency in some interactions.

Given these conflicting experiences, local users considering Foxwood Auto Salvage should approach with caution. Calling ahead to verify the availability and condition of the specific parts needed is strongly recommended. It might also be beneficial to ask detailed questions about the parts and potentially request photos or further clarification before making a trip, especially if traveling a significant distance. While the potential for finding affordable parts exists, the negative review serves as a reminder that the quality and accuracy of information can vary.

In conclusion, Foxwood Auto Salvage in Wampum, PA, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" providing used auto parts from a small salvage yard. While some customers have reported positive experiences with good prices and helpful staff, others have encountered issues with misrepresented products and poor customer service. Local users should be aware of these contrasting experiences and take proactive steps, such as calling ahead and thoroughly verifying the details of the parts they need, before visiting Foxwood Auto Salvage.

They don't deserve any stars. The gentlemen I just got off the phone with was rude, arrogant and not helpful in slightest. I never write reviews but this one is deserved. I don't recommend anyone go here. Kept talking about hot dogs and hot dog time and how he wanted to go to lunch rather than help me.

Would not recommend dealing with this business or their owner. Avoid even contacting them to check pricing or anything unless you'd like to be belittled. Unbelievably unprofessional communicator and throws around insults constantly. I've never dealt with a less professional business-owner. Stay FAR away!

Guy told me he would call me back later to set up a appointment. Never heard back. Called them the next day to, didnt answer all day. Call multiple times today, and once he finally answers, he cusses me out for calling to many times and then hangs up. Told me to shove my car up my butt because they don't want it.
