Forest City Starter

I came here with a buddy who was having his truck fixed. He needed me to drive one of his vehicles back to his house for him, I didn't know where exactly we were going when he asked if I could help him out he just said from the shop. As we pulled up, I had all kinds of memories from my childhood popping up! I had totally forgotten all about this lil place. It's down a side street, off by itself! My pawpaw and my Dad used to bring any starters they needed fixed here! Butch the guy that runs and I believe, owns the place is an amazing mechanic and a great person! This place is awesome!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We took them an alternator to rebuild. They charged us $75 dollars. We put the rebuilt one back on the car in hopes that everything was fixed since I was 9 months pregnant and was due any day. The car still wasn’t working right so we took it to several places to check to see the problem and was told by everyone we needed a new alternator. So we called Butch and he said he would personally check the alternator and fix it. He charged us $110 and when we went to pick up the car he said everything was good to go. We drove 10 minutes down the road and didn’t even make it home before it cut off on us. When we called him back he said it’s a wire issue and he didn’t have the tools to fix it (but he didn’t mention that before) so we took the car to another shop that fixed it and replaced the alternator all together. Thankfully the car is fixed but we ended up spending $800 total. I don’t recommend this business at all!!!!!

He rebuilt a Lawn mower starter..then stopped by our house check see if we got it back on . husband had Leg Removed February 12...so thanks for Caring about us ..very professional ...you went went beyond what most people do to help others..

If I could rate a zero I would Horrible place man talks to you any kind of way an doesn’t fix your car at all complete scam artist would not take my car to this horrible place he literally doesn’t do anything but charge you for nothing just a horrible place all around should be closed down for how he scams people WOULD NOT take my car to this place
