This place is great. We had a flat tire and were very bummed out since we had missed a whale watching experience, Eric the manager and his team took us right in and fixed our tire quickly and efficiently. Eric was very friendly and professional and was a good guy you'd want to look after your vehicle. Would highly recommend if you need car service!

Eric at the Firestone off San Marcos Blvd. Was booked up but he squeezed us into the work load saying he didn’t feel comfortable sending me & my 4year old on the freeway to a less busy branch with our low tire. My little was happily treated with a balloon & our car was quickly fixed! Thank you for not only doing great work but keeping customer service a high priority!!! We will be coming back!

The manager, Mark was an extremely experienced alignment specialist, and was able to fix a problem I’ve had for over 17 years of bad alignment, no one could figure it out, and he was able to look outside the box and the computer and make the proper adjustments and also able to give his employees a lesson at the same time because he had a class that day on alignment with them. It was a win-win for everyone his employees got to learn a valuable lesson, and I have a car that drives straight, a miracle.

Beware when coming to this place. I came in for a front rotor and brake pad replacement at their last appointment time of the day and just a few blocks after leaving I could feel grinding and my peddle felt soft, I immediately called them and was told to bring it in the next day because everyone had left allready. They "checked" my brakes the next day and told me they were fine but I have MAJOR suspension issues and need new front struts and ball joints and blah blah blah and then quoted me over 3k worth of repairs and started talking to me about "the cost of owning a used car" and all types of salesman talk. First off I've had this car brand new since I bought it and secondly I'm a mechanic myself and was too lazy to do it myself so I'd rather just pay them to do the brakes. So I left and inspected the brakes myself and found they screwed them all up, had to call corporate and threaten legal action after explaining everything they did wrong: they never bled the brake lines, they simply slapped in new pads using the old clips, and they didn't clean or reapply new grease to anything. I also told corporate how they tried to gaslight me into thinking it was a suspension issue and had them quote me thousands of dollars for repairs. Afterwards they got into touch with this shop and the manager rolled me out the royal treatment full of apologies and "I'm so sorry sir" and "yes sir" "no sir" when the past two conversations were like we were just a couple of dudes and he talked to me like I was his subordinate. He told me they would replace the rotors and pads with premium parts and do a whole system flush as well, when they started to do work on it I made sure to supervise these morons and as soon as they got the wheels off I asked the head technician to explain to me the issue. He stared at the brakes and told me everything looks fine to him. I pointed out that the pad itself had a fracture line running through it that you could visibly see and there was tons of brake dust and actual crumbs of brake pad material all over the rotor and chassis like explaining this to a child for the first time, he quickly became silent and didn't say a single word to me the rest of the repair. The drain plug for the brake fluid was so tight you could tell the previous tech never even opened it up and the old hardware from the previous pads were used and they didn't even properly fit the new pads they put on. Now this all occurred close to 4 years ago and I don't live in this shithole state anymore but I found it interesting that my old review has gone missing, it seems like they try and do damage control to stop the truth about their shady practices from being revealed to the public. Also after driving cross country and putting on close to 70k miles on my car the suspension is still fine so yeah good one Firestone.

I had an excellent experience at Firestone! Store Manager Mark was professional, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special shoutout to Quentin, who did a fantastic job—thorough, efficient, and clearly takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find such great customer service and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back for future service needs. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to this Firestone for a while now, and they’ve always taken great care of me. The staff is friendly, trustworthy, and honest about what needs to be done—no pressure or upselling. They offer fair prices and explain things clearly, which I really appreciate. Whether it’s a quick check or a bigger repair, they’ve consistently done a great job. It’s hard to find a shop you can truly rely on, but this one’s definitely earned my trust. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a great shop to bring your vehicle in, go see Mark Cowan @ Firestone SM. He is very thorough, honest, & hard working. He recently inspected & serviced a car I bought for my wife's birthday, a Honda Odyssey. He discovered a few issues that saved me a few grand off the purchase price i would not have known about. I needed a new shop to service my vehicles as we recently moved into the area. My mechanic I've used for 20 years is too far away (Nor Cal) Mark has since serviced my Yukon Denali & a BMW 3 series convertible in the last 3 weeks. If you need someone who won't take advantage of you, give it to you straight without the used car sales upgrade tactics stop into Firestone San Marcos.

I have been bringing my car into this location for 6 years. Every time they are able to help me quickly and save me a ton of money. Ordered one set of tires through them after their recommendation and they are the best tires I’ve ever owned! Absolutely love them. Best customer service too! Will continue to be a loyal customer for many years to come.
