Everett Service Center Introduce

Welcome to Everett Service Center, located at 161 US Hwy 70 SE in Hickory, NC 28602, USA. As an establishment within the Auto Repair Stations category, Everett Service Center provides a range of automotive maintenance and repair services. Based on the limited customer feedback available online, experiences appear to vary, with some customers highlighting positive aspects like friendly staff and the availability of loaner vehicles, while others express significant dissatisfaction with diagnostic processes, repair costs, and the effectiveness of the work performed.

The services offered at Everett Service Center likely encompass a broad spectrum of auto repair and maintenance. One detailed review pertains to a diesel truck, indicating that they handle diesel engine repairs in addition to standard gasoline vehicle services. These services would typically include diagnostics, engine repair, transmission service, brake service, electrical system repairs, exhaust system work, air conditioning service, and routine maintenance such as oil changes and filter replacements. Given the mention of a fuel filter housing and fuel rail replacement, it's clear they address fuel system issues as well.

One of the prominent features mentioned in a positive review is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, specifically naming Jordan. This suggests that Everett Service Center has employees who are courteous and aim to provide good customer interaction. Additionally, the availability of loaner vehicles while a customer's car is being serviced is a significant convenience and a positive feature that enhances the overall customer experience, minimizing disruption to their daily routine.

However, a contrasting and highly detailed negative review raises serious concerns about several aspects of Everett Service Center's operations. This customer's experience involved a diesel truck and highlighted issues with the time taken for diagnosis, the rationale behind repairs, the cost of services, and the effectiveness of the repairs performed. The customer reported a delay in getting their truck diagnosed and expressed confusion over the replacement of an aftermarket fuel filter housing with another aftermarket one at a substantial cost, questioning the significant price difference quoted for an OEM part. Following this $1300 repair, a fuel leak was allegedly discovered, requiring an additional $3000 for fuel rail replacement. The customer's inability to afford this led to being advised to drive the truck with caution despite a leak that subsequently caused smoke and vapors in the cab, rendering it unsafe.

This negative experience also points to potential issues with the accuracy of the initial diagnosis and the effectiveness of the recommended repairs. The continued "replace fuel filter" warning after the $1300 repair suggests that the original problem may not have been resolved. Furthermore, the high cost quoted for the fuel rail replacement raises questions about pricing transparency and the overall value provided. The customer's frustration is compounded by the fact that they rely on their truck to earn a living and are now left with an unusable vehicle and significant repair expenses.

The stark contrast between the two reviews makes it challenging to definitively characterize the overall environment and service quality at Everett Service Center. While one customer experienced friendly and helpful service with the added benefit of a loaner vehicle, another encountered lengthy diagnostic times, costly repairs that did not resolve the underlying issues, and a vehicle deemed unsafe to drive after the initial service. This suggests that customer experiences may vary significantly.

In terms of promotional information, there are no specific promotions mentioned in the provided reviews. Auto repair shops sometimes offer discounts on specific services, seasonal specials, or package deals. Local users would need to contact Everett Service Center directly or check their website (if available) to inquire about any current promotions or special offers.

For local users in Hickory, NC, Everett Service Center presents a complex picture. On one hand, there is positive feedback regarding friendly staff and the availability of loaner vehicles, which can be significant advantages. On the other hand, a detailed negative review raises serious concerns about diagnostic efficiency, repair costs, the use of aftermarket parts, and the ultimate effectiveness and safety of the repairs performed, particularly on diesel vehicles. Potential customers may want to weigh these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek additional reviews or consider obtaining second opinions for significant repairs.

Given the limited and conflicting information, it is difficult to definitively state the overall features of Everett Service Center. The availability of loaner vehicles could be considered a positive feature for some customers. However, the issues raised in the negative review, such as potentially high repair costs, concerns about the necessity and effectiveness of repairs, and the resulting unsafe condition of the vehicle, are significant drawbacks that potential customers should be aware of.

In conclusion, Everett Service Center in Hickory, NC, is an auto repair station that offers a range of services, including diesel truck repair. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with positive feedback about friendly staff and loaner vehicles contrasted by serious concerns regarding diagnostic timelines, repair costs, the choice of aftermarket parts, and the effectiveness and safety of the completed work. Local users should consider these varying experiences when deciding whether to utilize the services at Everett Service Center and may want to seek further information or explore multiple options for their auto repair needs.

Everett Service Center Customer Reviews

Took days and my being very persistent to get truck actually being diagnosed. Was told an aftermarket fuel filter housing was causing problem but for $1300 Everett replaced it with another aftermarket housing. It would have been $1900 for OEM not sure why such a drastic cost change, labor should have been same. Tech supposedly found a fuel leak after the $1300 repair in which they recommended an additional $3000 repair for fuel rail replacement. Couldn’t afford it so they just said they understood and I could pick it up but would need to be cautious of slight leak. It is in fact leaking enough that it caused smoke and vapors in the cab, so obviously not safe to drive. Continues to indicate replacing fuel filter warning after the $1300 repair. And it’s unsafe so I can’t earn a living to afford the now $3000 repair. My experience is poor at best, not satisfied with Everett at all and not satisfied with GM. There no reason for replacing a fuel rail to cost an additional $3000. Contrary to Everett apparent beliefs many of us are struggling, we don’t have bottomless pockets and credit cards so that we can just toss $4300 for vehicle repairs. Truck is diesel, has been maintained, only has 140,000 miles and should be capable of many many more without such expensive repairs. Not to mention that I just had to have $5100 in emissions system repairs because of poor design and it leaving me stranded in another state. So no I am not satisfied at all, there has to be a way Everett and GM could work out something so that I could get the truck back safe and running and back to earning a living and then maybe I could pay for repairs but now I’m just stuck with a useless truck that Everett made $1300

Jordan is always so friendly and helpful. I also really appreciate the loaner while my car was serviced. My experience with this service department is a lot better than it was a few years ago.

Went in to the Hickory, NC location for the first time. Exceptional Service! As if watching them cover my seats with plastic to putting paper on the floor board wasn’t spectacular enough. They sent me a video of the inspection. Never had this EXCELLENT Service anywhere! I definitely will use them again. Customer Service was off the chain! Friendly and informative!
