Elite Window Tinting Introduce

To the local users of Elgin, Illinois, and the surrounding areas, this introduction addresses Elite Window Tinting, located at 1641 St Andrews Cir, Elgin, IL 60123, USA. While the platform categorizes this as an Auto Repair Station (presumably offering services related to vehicle enhancement or customization), it is crucial to present an objective overview based on the publicly available customer feedback. Currently, the primary source of information is a detailed and highly critical review from a customer who experienced significant issues with their service.

Information regarding the physical environment of Elite Window Tinting is not provided in the available review. Therefore, an objective description of their workshop, customer waiting area, or overall facilities cannot be offered. The review focuses entirely on the service experience and the aftermath of the window tinting installation.

Based on the sole detailed customer review, the primary service offered by Elite Window Tinting at the time of the incident was vehicle window tinting. The review specifically mentions the installation of tint on a new 2019 Chevrolet Bolt. However, the outcome described was far from satisfactory, with the customer alleging several issues with the quality of the tint installation itself, as well as damage to the vehicle's exterior trim. The review does not provide information about other potential services Elite Window Tinting might offer.

The features of Elite Window Tinting, as perceived through the lens of the single available review, present a concerning picture:

  • Promise of "Top Notch Job": The installer, Dave, allegedly promised a high-quality tint installation in writing.
  • Poor Quality Workmanship: The customer reported scratches, bubbling, and contaminants within the newly installed tint.
  • Vehicle Damage: Cuts into the rubber exterior trim in five places are alleged to have occurred during the tint installation process.
  • Lack of Responsiveness: The customer claims a lack of response from Dave to initial complaints via text and voicemail.
  • Delayed and Unfulfilled Promises: A promise of a refund, allegedly made by someone named Jackie (claiming to be the owner), was reportedly not honored for an extended period.
  • Poor Communication: The customer describes difficulty in getting updates on the promised refund and a lack of follow-through.
  • Denial of Responsibility: The installer reportedly stated that he never cuts into trim or causes damage, contradicting the customer's experience.

Promotional information is absent from the provided review. Instead, the review serves as a strong warning to potential customers ("Buyer beware"). The promise of a "top notch job" made by the installer could be considered a form of pre-service assurance, but the customer's account suggests a significant failure to deliver on this promise.

The core of the available information revolves around a severely negative customer experience. The timeline provided in the review spans from September 19, 2019, to the update on December 4, 2019, indicating a prolonged period of unresolved issues. The customer's account details a sequence of events including a substandard installation, alleged vehicle damage, difficulty in communication, a promised refund that was not issued, and a perceived lack of accountability from Elite Window Tinting.

For local users in Elgin, IL, considering Elite Window Tinting for their vehicle window tinting needs (or any other potential services they might offer), it is essential to be aware of this detailed and negative customer experience. The allegations of poor workmanship, vehicle damage caused during the service, and a failure to honor a promised refund raise significant concerns about the quality of service and customer care at this establishment, at least during the timeframe of this review.

The customer's frustration is palpable throughout the review, highlighting not only the initial issues with the tint and the damage but also the subsequent struggle to obtain a resolution. The detailed account of communication attempts and the eventual lack of follow-through on the promised refund paint a concerning picture of their customer service practices in this particular instance.

Given that this is the only customer review provided, it is challenging to offer a balanced perspective without additional feedback from other customers or a response from Elite Window Tinting itself. However, as an objective introduction based solely on the available information, it is crucial to highlight the serious nature of the issues raised in this review. Potential customers should proceed with caution and may want to seek additional reviews or consider alternative service providers in the Elgin area to ensure a positive and damage-free experience.

In conclusion, based on the single, detailed negative customer review available, Elite Window Tinting in Elgin, IL, is alleged to have provided a substandard window tinting service that resulted in vehicle damage and an unfulfilled promise of a refund. Local users considering their services should be aware of these serious allegations and exercise caution. Without further information or reviews to provide a more comprehensive picture, it is impossible to offer a positive or neutral introduction. Potential customers may wish to seek alternative auto repair or window tinting services with more consistently positive feedback.

Elite Window Tinting Customer Reviews

UPDATE Dec 4, 2019 - ZERO response to repeat contact attempts so its abundantly clear Dave and/or Jackie have no intention of honoring promised refund. September 19, 2019 tint was installed on our brand new 2019 Bolt that was just purchased within the week and had less than 200 miles. I was promised a 'top notch job' in writing via text or it would be free. The tint install was not only poorly done with scratches, bubbling, and contaminants in the tint but damage was done in 5 places on the exterior trim by cuts into the rubber while free-cutting the tint. I am showing photos here of the worst damage done. Although unable to capture the actual tint problems with my substandard camera these same damage photos were shared with Dave who did the install. After zero response from Dave via text messages and voice mail messages left for over the course of a week, I finally received a response via the messenger on the Facebook Elite Window Tinting page from Jackie who claimed to be the actual owner. After sharing the photos again I made it clear that I just wanted my refund and would take care of the damage repairs myself. The damage amount was greater than the tint cost and I pointed this out. I did not feel it was unreasonable to simply want my refund and move on with my life. Initially I was told to bring the car over to have the tint removed and receive a refund so I asked if they would rather pay for the damage and replace the damaged window frame trim pieces on the 3 doors that have the damage. At that time I was told I would receive my refund and asked to provide my mailing address. It is now November 1, 2019 and I have never received my promised refund. I have not heard from Dave or Jackie since October 7th and never received an actual answer when I asked what date the refund was mailed. Its been an extremely frustrating experience to have this damage caused on our brand new vehicle along with the struggle to get a response and now the lack of actual follow through on the promised refund. Buyer beware because I was told by Dave himself that he never cuts into trim and never causes damage-- except he did and now doesn't seem to want to honor my very reasonable request to simply provide my refund. Ignoring a customers problem doesn't make it go away!
