Elite Auto And Fleet

Kevin and Steve were awesome! We have a freightliner MT 45 Turbo Diesel that we converted into a motorhome and while traveling from the East Coast a high pitch whistle occurred. We thought the turbo went out on the diesel engine. When we pulled into elite auto and Fleet Steve did not have time to run a diagnostic that day but he let us park overnight in their parking lot to have a look the next morning. Steve advised that the high pitch whistle was likely the turbo and it could be Over $1000 fix. He recommended getting a rental car since I needed to be at a job interview in a couple days. The next morning Kevin and Steve took a look at the turbo and saw immediately that a bolt was gone on the manifold. The gasket had slipped out from position which was causing the whistle. They said nothing was wrong with the turbo. They were able to pry the manifold away and slip the gasket back into place. They said it was our lucky day! Steve even found a replacement bolt and didn’t even charge us for it! The fix was less than an hour and we were on our way! It went from a potential $1000-$2000 fix to a $150 fix. Kevin and his team were great! Their ability to diagnose and fix our truck was impressive. Highly recommend! Everyone said there were no good and honest mechanics in Barstow, but these guys proved them all wrong! Thanks again!

So I was having electrical problems with my truck, they took care of me right away. Found the problem and fixed it! Went smooth. How ever when I went to drive off, I looked out my passenger rear window and it was completely shattered! There’s a clear impact point on the window and it spiderwebbed the entire thing. I went back inside to see what was up and the answer I got right away was “it was like that when it got here”. I told him I have before and after pictures because I just got my windows tinted the day prior so it had to happen here. The owner stated there’s no way it could have happened at their shop and it probably happened on the tow ride to the yard and I should talk to them about it. I understand he or his employees cant take responsibility, I’m not blaming them for it. It’s just bad business when I’m stating my case and all the owner, Kevin, wants to do is deny it and not help me out in any type of way. Again, the actual truck repair is good so far, just very shady when it comes to accountability from from this business

Kevin knows what he is doing. We broke down in Barstow heading back to Florida pulling our fifth wheel. I had a hard time finding someone that new what they where talking about when it came to F350 Diesels. Kevin got it diagnosed and fixed and we had a smooth ride back to FL.

Kevin & crew were wonderful! They let us park our 5th wheel in their lot overnight which was a life saver. We broke down on the highway at the start of a 3 week trip, and they were able to get us back on the road the next day. They took us in on such short notice and were very professional, caring, and did a great job! Would recommend to anyone in a heart beat!
