Ehrheart Collision Introduce

Located at 235 Bucknor St, Dunkirk, NY 14048, USA, Ehrheart Collision operates as an "Auto Repair Station" with a specific focus on body work and collision repair. In the aftermath of an accident, finding a reliable and efficient shop is crucial, and Ehrheart Collision aims to be a primary resource for vehicle owners in the Dunkirk area needing structural and cosmetic repairs.

Environment and Facilities

As a collision repair center, Ehrheart Collision's environment is primarily a workshop designed for intricate body work, painting, and frame straightening. While there isn't detailed information about the customer waiting area or specific amenities, the nature of their business requires a facility equipped to handle significant vehicle damage. The impression of the facility, however, appears to be a point of divergence among customers, with one review suggesting a "run down" appearance, contrasting with the implied professionalism necessary for collision repair. A functional collision shop typically includes dedicated bays for body panel replacement, paint booths for flawless finishes, and advanced equipment for frame alignment and structural repairs. The emphasis would be on the technical capabilities of the shop to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, focusing on safety and aesthetics.

Services and Specializations

Ehrheart Collision positions itself as a "one stop shop for body work." This implies a comprehensive range of services related to repairing vehicles after accidents. These services generally include:

  • Collision Repair: Addressing damage resulting from impacts, ranging from minor dents and scratches to major structural damage.
  • Body Panel Replacement: Replacing damaged fenders, doors, hoods, trunks, and other exterior panels.
  • Frame Straightening: Utilizing specialized equipment to restore a vehicle’s frame to factory specifications, crucial for safety and alignment.
  • Automotive Painting: Matching and applying paint to damaged areas, ensuring a seamless and high-quality finish.
  • Dent Removal: Repairing various types of dents, including paintless dent repair (PDR) for minor damage.
  • Auto Glass Replacement: Repairing or replacing damaged windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
  • Insurance Claim Assistance: Often, collision centers work directly with insurance companies, handling estimates, approvals, and billing to streamline the repair process for the customer.

The mention of repairing an Audi Q7 after a deer hit suggests they handle significant damage and are accustomed to working with insurance companies to facilitate repairs. Their ability to provide estimates and coordinate with insurance implies a structured process for handling accident claims.

Features and Customer Interaction

Ehrheart Collision has received mixed feedback regarding its features, particularly concerning customer service and communication. One customer highly praises "Missy and Bob the best!", suggesting that individual interactions can be very positive and supportive, contributing to their "one stop shop" experience. This positive experience points to a staff that is knowledgeable and helpful, aiming to alleviate the stress of collision repairs.

However, another detailed review highlights significant challenges in communication and scheduling. While the initial interaction was positive, with a male worker promptly taking pictures and creating an estimate, subsequent follow-ups revealed inconsistencies. The customer was initially told parts would take "2-3 weeks to get in and a day to do the work," with a same-day drop-off and pickup option. However, later calls led to confusion regarding part status ("parts are in they just gotta inspect them due to them being used parts") and scheduling ("she’s a month out to get me in"). This indicates potential issues with internal communication, inventory management for parts (especially used ones), and transparency in scheduling, which can lead to customer frustration and a perceived lack of professionalism. The mention of workers being out with COVID also points to potential staffing challenges that could impact service delivery and turnaround times.

The stark contrast between "best" and the experience of miscommunication and extended wait times suggests that while some staff members excel, there might be systemic issues or inconsistencies in their operational processes that affect the overall customer experience. The fact that the customer ultimately chose another repair shop ("Valentine collision instead, much nicer!") underscores the importance of not just the quality of repair, but also the clarity, efficiency, and professionalism of the customer service process.

Promotional Information and Accessibility

Specific promotional offers for Ehrheart Collision are not available in the provided information. However, their primary method of attracting customers would be through referrals from insurance companies, word-of-mouth, and their reputation for handling collision repairs. The direct phone line, (716) 366-6900, and mobile number, +1 716-366-6900, serve as the main contact points for customers seeking estimates, scheduling appointments, or inquiring about repair status. This accessibility is crucial for clients who are often dealing with the stressful aftermath of an accident and need prompt and clear communication.

In conclusion, Ehrheart Collision in Dunkirk, NY, offers essential collision repair services within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, aiming to be a comprehensive solution for body work needs. While some customers highlight exceptional individual service and a "one-stop shop" convenience, other experiences point to challenges in communication, transparency, and consistency in service delivery. For local users considering Ehrheart Collision, it would be advisable to inquire thoroughly about timelines, part sourcing (especially for used parts), and ensure clear communication channels are established to manage expectations effectively.

My insurance company recommended this place to repair my Audi q7 after I hit a deer . They set the appointment up for me and everything . I showed up early and was greeted my a male worker at the desk . He takes pictures does up an estimate and everything . He told me about 2-3 weeks to get parts in and a day to do the work . I could drop off and pick up same day is what I was told . I called 4 or 5 days later same guy answers the phone saying parts are in they just gotta inspect them due to them being used parts. I call back weds like I was told too few days later get a female receptionist . She has no knowledge of my car getting done and tells me she’s a month out to get me in . The best she can do is try for next week? I was under the impression that my parts had already come in ? Now they have no on knowledge of the job and I gotta wait at the end of the line because her workers are out with Covid ? Save yourself the trouble and go to repair shop that looks legit and not run down. Going to Valentine collision instead, much nicer!

TERRIBLE.... they told me about a week after drop-off that it would be done, needless to say it took 3 weeks, I had to keep extending my rental vehicle, did that at LEAST 3 times. Finally got it back and the 4X4 decal they had to replace for 100$ looked like someone ripped it in half then put it on, my gas cap which they had to remove to get the bed off of my truck was never put back on properly, and the quarterpanel that was replaced looks like small scratches were put on it. And as for attitude, the lady behind the counter needs to get hers checked. Either do the job right or get out of this business!!!!

Great customer service! Bob was very understanding of my situation and kept me very informed during the restoration of my vehicle, he did a wonderful job for the price he charged. All around comfortable experience, which tends to be uncomfortable when going to new mechanics. I would definitely recommend Ehrheart for your collision reparations!

Absolutely terrible ! Had our vehicle in there for 16 days after an accident. They did the body work and that's it. Never put the vehicle on a lift to see if there was other damage, which there was a lot. Took the vehicle to another shop to find out it was not even safe to drive. Once we called and complained they said they would go to the other shop to look at it, and help get the damage covered by insurance, and they never showed up. Needless to say I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. If you're looking for safety and someone to do a thorough job go somewhere else !
