DRIVE AutoCare (N. Cedros Solana Beach)

First, let me say I’ve never written a bad review for a business but this got to me. Avoid this place if you really care about your car. I initially brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, which cost around $300—steep, but I was willing to pay for quality, so I thought. That visit went fine. However, when I returned after noticing a leak, they diagnosed a faulty water pump. I asked for a photo of the issue, but they said they hadn’t taken any. They offered to put the car back up and take some, which seemed odd but reasonable. I left my car overnight, and when I picked it up, it was filthy—mud all over the sides - someone had taken it for a joyride. The car has been paint corrected and I’ve never seen my car this dirty before. When I brought it up, the front desk they said, “Not sure what happened, it was locked behind the gate.” Said sorry about that. Offered a detail but lost all trust with them. If you’re taking your car to an expensive auto shop they should respect it. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

Troy, Miguel, and Art are the dream team at Drive. I have been taking my 4Runner to Drive for almost 3 years for regular service and maintenance and have only had exceptional experiences. They are highly communicative, provide high quality work, and have a quick turnaround time for most needs. They are so good that despite having moved to Oceanside, I still take my 4Runner to Solana Beach because of the level of trust they have established with me. I highly recommend their service to anyone looking for a quality auto repair shop in North County.

I’ve brought 3 of my cars here and have never been disappointed over the years. Every associate is incredibly communicative, knowledgeable, and transparent. I find their prices reasonable, especially considering their exceptional customer service. Finding a quality, reliable auto shop can be difficult but DRIVE easily gets a 10/10 from me!

Over the TOP with customer care! Great service and the DO IT RIGHT! Thank you Drive Auto Care. BTW my car is an Alpha Romero . Not an easy job. Their prices are soooo fair.

I had the misfortune of needing a car repair for an unexpected issue, days before a scheduled road trip out of town. Annie was absolutely delightful when trying to get me scheduled. She was extremely helpful and kind. When the car was being repaired, the mechanic called me personally and patiently explained some of the details of the repair. I highly recommend this business!

We took our Range Rover in for an oil change, new front brakes and to address a suspension fault warning light that was on. Their service throughout the process was really great and most importantly, the car is running super smooth! I highly recommend this shop for all your car care needs!
