Downshift L.A., Inc. Introduce

While the broader platform category may be "Auto Repair Stations," it's crucial for local users to understand that Downshift L.A., Inc. is a highly specialized and dedicated motorsports service center, focusing almost exclusively on motorcycles, particularly classic and vintage models, rather than cars. Located in Torrance, California, Downshift L.A., Inc. is the brainchild of husband-and-wife duo Angel and Yari Perez, who bring over two decades of experience in the automotive and motorcycle industry to their enterprise. Their establishment is a testament to passion, precision, and personalized care for two-wheeled machines.

Environment of Care

The environment at Downshift L.A., Inc. is tailored to the intricate world of motorcycle repair and restoration. Unlike a typical car repair garage, one can expect a more specialized and often meticulously organized space, reflecting the precision required for motorcycle mechanics and custom work. Key aspects of their environment would include:

  • Dedicated Motorcycle Workstations: Specialized lifts, stands, and tools designed specifically for motorcycles, ensuring proper handling and access to all components.

  • Clean and Organized Shop: Given the detailed nature of motorcycle work, particularly restoration and custom builds, a clean and well-ordered workspace is paramount. This minimizes the risk of contamination and ensures efficiency.

  • Specialized Equipment: Downshift L.A., Inc. highlights services like "vapor blasting" and "ultrasonic cleaning" (for carburetors), indicating investment in advanced, specialized equipment for precise component cleaning and restoration. This sets them apart from general repair shops.

  • Parts Storage and Display: An organized inventory of parts, potentially including rare or vintage components, would be characteristic. Some custom elements or finished bikes might also be on display, showcasing their craftsmanship.

  • Welcoming Customer Area: While the primary focus is on the bikes, a professional and friendly reception area for clients to discuss their needs, receive updates, and view completed projects would be expected. The emphasis on excellent customer service suggests a comfortable interaction space.

  • Security: High-value motorcycles, especially restored classics, require robust security measures within the facility.

  • Aesthetic Reflecting Passion: As a business driven by passion for motorcycles, the shop's ambiance might subtly reflect this, perhaps through decor, photography, or even the careful presentation of tools and machinery, creating an inviting atmosphere for fellow enthusiasts.

The overall environment at Downshift L.A., Inc. is designed to be a "one-stop shop" for motorcycle enthusiasts, combining a functional workshop with a sense of dedication to the craft.

I met Angel yesterday my HD road king would not start!! I told Angel to go ahead and do what he had to do to fix it!! Lo and behold 10 minutes later Angel called and said your bike is ready!! I said what and he informed me that all I needed was a battery to go in my key fob !! I couldn’t believe his honesty!! You just don’t see that anymore today!! This guy is the absolute best!!! Thank God I’ve found him!!

Walk in a customer, leave like family. I've been riding bikes for years. Angel can look, at a bike and see things that I just thought that's the way it's suppoed to be. Just don't tell him you're a Sox fan.

Angel set me up great after letting me know my risks and options for restoration of a garaged bike. I felt appropriately informed and extremely satisfied with the results and investment! I'm riding my 95 Yamaha diversion xj600 every day 🙂

Angel took care of my little Honda with love and care. She now rides better than new with some upgraded parts. You'd be surprised how much attention goes into his workmanship --can't find this type of technician at any ordinary shop. Way to go Angel, welcome to LA & truly hope your business thrives. See you again soon.
