I went to Dons transmission to get a second opinion on my car as I was told the transmission was crapping out on me. Dons was able to get me in for that second opinion and for $130 later to be told yup the transmission needs to be replaced and was told December 4th they were able to fit me in to get it fixed. The car is still drivable and since it is my ONLY vehicle I had no choice but to drive it around. I hadn’t heard from dons in 2 weeks and my appointment date was approaching so I thought I would call to confirm. I asked if we were good to go on Monday and Jeff said “oh sorry we had more cars come in over thanksgiving and we can’t fit your car in to fix it anymore”. NO ONE was going to call me and tell me that they could no longer get me in because as Jeff said “they don’t have a secretary to deal with that stuff”. So I would have showed up on Monday thinking my car was going to get fixed when in reality it probably would have sat there and I would’ve been without a car for who knows how long. This was a time sensitive issue and the lack of respect and service was beyond me. Yes I was told they do good work but the lack of respect for my situation and lack of communication would make this place a no go for me.

I was driving by on the interstate when I had an issue with my F350. The tow truck took me to Don’s. The driver said that they would take good care of me. We just left it there as it was after hours. I was on the phone with Jeff first thing the next morning. He took a look at it and got back to me promptly. He had a plan, he located a part( in Texas) he gave me a price and had my truck back on the road in four days. I couldn’t be more impressed. The price was more than reasonable. They were professional, efficient and friendly. I would recommend them to anybody.

Don's is fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. We were told by a dealership in La Crosse that we would need a new transmission due to a non-serviceable bushing inside the trans. I called Don's, they gave me an honest and realistic timeline (they are busy, they said it would likely take a week or so) and they ended up just discovering an improperly installed part. A simple repair saving me thousands. Their pricing was fair and their service was excellent. 5 stars!

Cannot thank Don's Transmission enough! We originally took our vehicle to a dealer in the area who said we needed our transmission replaced and quoted us a price. We called Dons and they quoted us half the price. We took our vehicle in, fully expecting to need a new transmission and Don's called us telling us that we just needed a new pan and filter. They saved us thousands of dollars and were honest about what we needed done. I highly recommend them!

Highly recommend! Great work, great price and will be the only place I go if I ever have transmission issues. They went above and beyond for me to help me out. I was referred to Don's by a friend who has had multiple transmissions done by this awesome place I had no idea existed. 5 Stars
