I am basing this review off of our initial experience with Mr. Lou. My husband and I live in MD and drove up to Philly to speak with Lou re: a transmission replacement for our GMC Terrain. I was very impressed with the way he presented himself. He came outside to speak with both of us re: the repairs and set expectations of his work. After we provided the specifications of our vehicle, he quickly found the part and contacted my husband with a quote. Our vehicle has been towed to their garage and we are hoping for the best outcome and longevity of this transmission replacement. Good, honest and kind mechanics (people) are hard to find these days. These people put a dysfunctional transmission in my girlfriend's car (manual), and then lied to her and tried to convince her that it was normal that she could no longer downshift. We should have gotten her money back then and gone somewhere else, but unfortunately she let them put in a different transmission. This one jammed within 2 months, just outside the coverage of the warranty. It made me sick to my stomach, talking to these guys - the way they treated my girlfriend, as if she knew literally nothing about cars (she works on cars now). Avoid these people at all costs, and if you're looking for a new transmission please go elsewhere! Edit: In response to the owners comment that this is blatantly false and I'm probably just a competing shop - You remember who I am. It was a 2002 Toyota Corolla, and it sat in your shop for WEEKS. Don't try to act like this never happened - I already knew you guys were dishonest, but now you're taking the dishonesty to a whole new level. You owe me an apology and you owe my girlfriend a full refund.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS-- Cheap unreliable parts and shoddy patch job work. Held my car for 3 months and didn't do any work to it. It was there a second time to fix a problem they supposedly fixed the first time they had it. Provided no updates and didnt care when I came to take my car from them. Ended up taking it to another shop to get the work done properly. Also they somehow got all there bad reviews wiped to seem like their business is great don't believe these fake reviews. Edit for response: I have the correct place you did work on both mine and my brother's vehicle. His vehicle was in for a transmission that didn't even last 2 weeks as well! You deleted all your old bad reviews to seem as though your business is great. Very shady you need to be shut down.
