I have a 2011 Chevy Avalanche that had an oil leak and vibration. A friend recommended Dimsdale Automotive, and I am so glad he knew about them. He told me he'd taken his trunk to them thinking it was a major Rear Main seal repair. They diagnosed it as only an oil pan leak which saved lots of time and money. In my situation, I spoke to several mechanics about the oil leak and almost all said oil pan and/or Rear Main seal. Dimsdale did their inspection and confirmed it was both. The REALLY nice thing is they did a very thorough inspection and identified a few other Maintenance items. They called to discuss and I agreed all were good ideas for a truck of that age. What I found incredibly refreshing was how complete their inspection was, how quick they completed the work and how fair they are on pricing. Other shops were quoting less work and 30-35% more for the total job. If you're looking for great mechanics, see the Dimsdale family at Dimsdale Automotive, Inman, SC. They are a great family run business. The do competent work, at reasonable prices. Very nice guys, and even their dogs are friendly!
