Diesel Creek Repair LLC Introduce

For vehicle owners in Corry, PA, and the surrounding areas, finding a reliable auto repair shop is crucial. Diesel Creek Repair LLC, located at 17977 Hare Creek Rd, Corry, PA 16407, USA, offers a range of automotive services. With a focus that appears to include diesel vehicles, they aim to serve the local community's car and truck repair needs. They can be reached by phone at (814) 964-7348 or via mobile at +1 814-964-7348.

Environment and Facilities

As a local auto repair station, Diesel Creek Repair LLC operates from a physical location designed to handle vehicle maintenance and repairs. While specific details about the waiting area, bays, or specialized equipment are not publicly available, it's typical for such establishments to have a functional workshop environment equipped for various automotive tasks. The setting is likely geared towards efficiency and practical service delivery for a steady flow of customers.

Services Offered

Based on their name, Diesel Creek Repair LLC suggests a specialization in diesel vehicle repair, which is a key service for truck owners and those with diesel-powered cars. However, a general auto repair station category implies they likely offer a broader spectrum of services. These commonly include:

  • Routine Maintenance: Oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, brake inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Diagnostic Services: Troubleshooting engine lights, electrical issues, and performance problems.
  • Brake Repair: Pad and rotor replacement, caliper service, and brake system diagnostics.
  • Suspension and Steering: Repair and replacement of shocks, struts, ball joints, and steering components.
  • Engine Repair: From minor tune-ups to more extensive engine work.
  • Transmission Services: Repair, rebuilds, and fluid changes for both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Clutch Replacement: Especially relevant for manual transmission vehicles and often a specialized service for diesel trucks.
  • Tire Services: Mounting, balancing, and repair.

Their mention as an "authorized dealer for South Bend" further indicates a focus on specific, high-performance clutch systems, particularly relevant for heavy-duty diesel applications. This suggests they are equipped to handle installations and potential warranty work for South Bend Clutch products.

Features and Customer Experience

The primary feature of any auto repair shop is the expertise of its mechanics and the quality of their work. For Diesel Creek Repair LLC, customer reviews provide a mixed picture of their service delivery. One customer highlighted a highly negative experience concerning clutch and transmission work, detailing issues such as incorrect installation of a clutch fork and clutch plates, leading to significant additional costs and vehicle downtime. This individual expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the quality of work and the perceived lack of attention to detail, especially given the "authorized dealer" status for South Bend clutches. This review suggests potential inconsistencies in workmanship and a need for customers to thoroughly verify the quality of repairs.

Conversely, another customer offered a positive review, describing Diesel Creek Repair LLC as a "Great place to take your diesel" and commending their "very knowledgeable" staff, "excellent work," and "best customer service I ever received at an automotive shop." This stark contrast in feedback indicates that customer experiences can vary significantly, which is not uncommon in the service industry. It suggests that while some customers have positive interactions and successful repairs, others may encounter challenges. For potential customers, it's advisable to consider the range of experiences when making a decision.

Promotional Information and Considerations

While specific promotional offers are not available online, auto repair shops often provide incentives such as discounts on first-time services, seasonal maintenance packages, or loyalty programs. Interested customers are encouraged to contact Diesel Creek Repair LLC directly at (814) 964-7348 to inquire about any current promotions or to schedule a service appointment. Given the mixed reviews, customers may wish to clearly communicate their needs, ask for detailed explanations of diagnostics and repairs, and understand any warranties on parts and labor. For complex repairs, particularly those involving specialized components like dual-disc clutches, it might be beneficial to discuss the specific procedures and the mechanics' experience with similar jobs. Ultimately, the decision to use Diesel Creek Repair LLC will depend on an individual's specific needs, their comfort with the available information, and perhaps a direct conversation with the shop to assess their confidence in the services offered.

Diesel Creek Repair LLC Customer Reviews

The only reason there is 1 star is to write this. I wouldn't recommend Diesel Creek to anyone with any kind of vehicle ever! I don't understand and can't wrap my head around how "mechanics" can pride themselves in doing such terrible, low quality work, while screwing over customers. I've had nothing but trouble with my clutch and my g56 trans ever since I let them touch my touch. The very 1st week after my new dual disc install and the break in miles, I started having trouble. Took truck back only for their "parts changer" to diagnose it and also accuse me of riding the clutch. I called the clutch company and they said the problem I was having would be almost impossible by riding the clutch, and more than likely something was installed wrong. So I tore out tranny and to my surprise, the clutch fork was in backwards! Still scratching my head at how that's possible when they claim to be "very familiar with dual disc clutches and have put many in with 0 issues," also, there is clear instructions, paint mark, and a size difference that anyone with eyes could see when installing. So because the backwards clutch fork, I had to install a new throw out bearing. After that 1st and Reverse was hell to shift into, and the truck constantly hopped, funny because Apex did the same clutch in my other truck and no issues whatsoever. Wasn't long and a gear gave out in the trans, so dropped it, rebuilt it with new gears, synchro's and input shaft, THIS is where I should have checked the clutch too, but im an absolute moron and thought there's NO WAY someone could screw up worse than a clutch fork, boy was i dead wrong! Trans back in and now I barely have 1st, 2nd and R, and the only way I can get those is shutting the truck off. Called clutch company for some troubleshooting, and they suggested it's either hydraulics, or again clutch is installed wrong- meaning backwards. Anyone wanna guess what the diag is? I'll give you a hint, it's not hydraulics. So I took tranny out again, and this time took the clutch out only to find, THE CLUTCH PLATES WERE PUT IN OUT OF ORDER!!!! So despite having CLEAR LABELS on plates to decipher which is which, along with clear instructions on what order to install, it was thrown together carelessly and torqued down. The clutch plate could never fully release, the floater plate has significant blue-ing on both sides because of severe scorching, clutch dust covers everything, and the pilot bearing is junk! For someone being a "authorized dealer" for South Bend, you would hope and trust that the clutch would be installed correctly, but obviously not. So what originally cost me $1400 in a clutch kit, and $900 for labor, is now totaling up to that plus $100 for throw out bearing, $3200 for transmission rebuild, $20 for new pilot bearing that i didn't even bother to install, since I caught the fact everything was backwards while taking the bearing out, and now I get to buy a new clutch! Even if it was still under warranty, it wouldn't be covered because it was installed wrong.. so so wrong. I wouldn't take a bicycle to Diesel Creek, hell, I wouldn't even take a hot wheels car to Diesel Creek. I would rather have Stevie Wonder work on my vehicle and trust he could do a better job, before I ever recommend Diesel Creek to anyone!

Highly recommend this to anyone who owns a diesel. Took my truck in for a bad lift pump and the owner immediately got two more issues leading to my problem including a turbo and fuel pressure regulator. Got my truck in a very timely manner and excellent customer service. 10/10 ten recommend for your diesel needs.
