Diehl Collision of Grove City Introduce

For residents of Grove City, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas in need of auto body repair services, Diehl Collision of Grove City, located at 1687 W Main St Ext, Grove City, PA 16127, USA, operates within the Auto Repair Stations platform category, specializing in collision repairs. Recent customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on their services, highlighting both positive aspects of the repair work itself and areas where the customer experience fell short.

Information regarding the specific environment of Diehl Collision of Grove City is limited in the provided reviews. However, the fact that they have a waiting room suggests a physical location where customers can wait for estimates or while their vehicles are being processed. The mention of detailing the vehicle after the repair indicates a facility equipped for cleaning and finishing services. The process of texting updates on the repair status every 2-3 days implies an attempt at communication, although the effectiveness of this communication is called into question by one of the reviewers.

Based on the customer reviews, the services offered by Diehl Collision of Grove City include:

  • Collision repair: This is the primary service, addressing damage resulting from accidents, such as the bumper repair mentioned by one customer after a deer strike.
  • Car detailing: The shop provides a detailing service upon completion of the repair work, enhancing the appearance of the vehicle.
  • Repair status updates: They communicate with customers regarding the progress of their repairs via text messages, providing updates every few days.

The features of Diehl Collision of Grove City, as observed through the lens of recent customer experiences, present a nuanced picture:

  • Proficient body work (as of now): One reviewer noted that the body work performed on their vehicle appeared to be of a satisfactory quality at the time of pickup.
  • Vehicle detailing upon completion: The shop takes the initiative to detail vehicles after the repairs are finished, which is a positive aspect of their service.
  • Proactive communication of repair status: The use of text message updates every 2-3 days indicates an effort to keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs.

However, the reviews also highlight significant areas of concern:

  • Extended repair time: One customer experienced a ten-day repair period for a bumper, which they perceived as lengthy.
  • Unexpected charges for a rental car: One customer was informed they would have to pay for a rental car while their vehicle was being repaired, a practice they found unusual for auto body work covered by insurance.
  • Issues with insurance payment processing: Even a week after vehicle pickup, the shop reportedly had misunderstandings regarding the insurance payment, leading to the customer being asked to pay more money and experiencing weeks of hassle and financial loss.
  • Lack of effective communication and follow-up: The second reviewer explicitly mentioned a lack of communication and follow-up as significant negative factors in their experience.
  • Perceived lack of accountability and speed: This reviewer also cited a lack of accountability and speed as contributing to their dissatisfaction.
  • No offer of compensation for inconvenience: Despite the weeks of hassle and lost money due to the shop's alleged incompetence in handling the insurance payment, no complimentary services like a free detail were offered to the dissatisfied customer.

Currently, there is no information regarding specific promotional offers from Diehl Collision of Grove City in the provided text. The recent customer feedback primarily focuses on the service experience rather than any active promotions.

The two recent reviews of Diehl Collision of Grove City paint a contrasting picture. While the quality of the body work itself was deemed proficient by one reviewer, the overall customer experience seems to be a significant area for potential concern. Issues related to repair timelines, unexpected rental car charges, and, most notably, problems with handling insurance payments and a lack of effective communication and follow-up led to considerable dissatisfaction for one customer. The other reviewer, while not detailing payment issues, also noted the extended repair time for a bumper.

For local users in Grove City, PA, considering Diehl Collision for their auto body repair needs, it would be advisable to weigh these recent experiences carefully. While the shop appears capable of performing the necessary body work and provides a detailing service, potential issues with repair duration, communication, and especially insurance claim processing should be taken into account. It may be beneficial to inquire specifically about their procedures for handling insurance claims, their estimated repair timelines, and whether they typically require customers to pay for rental vehicles during the repair process. Seeking additional recent reviews from other customers might also provide a broader perspective on the consistency of their service and customer satisfaction levels. Contacting Diehl Collision of Grove City directly at (724) 748-3575 or +1 724-748-3575 to discuss your specific repair needs and their policies may help in making an informed decision.

Diehl Collision of Grove City Customer Reviews

I had the bumper repaired after a deer strike. It took ten days to repair. The food a nice job detailing when they were done. They texted updates on status every 2-3 days. They were making me pay for a car while i had mine fixed so o declined this. I have never paid for a car while auto body was performed on mine. Thank you

Changing to 1 star from 3 stars. Even a week after pickup the shop didnt understand the insurance payment and needed me to pay more money. Weeks of hassel and lost money due to their incompetence and they never even offered a free detail. The body work they provided seems to be proficient as of now. Personally, I am not satisfied with my experience at Diehl Collision of Grove City due to lack of communication, lack of follow-up, lack of accountability, lack of speed, and other frustrating factors. Overall, they did complete the work needed on my vehicle, which was most important. I'd probably find a different body shop.

Hit a deer, and diehl did a great job of getting my car back to me in a timely manner. The car looks great, everyone there was extremely friendly, and kept me updated. Highly recommend

4 hours ago New After waiting 2 weeks and still not retrieved my vehicle from Diehl Collision center in Grove City, I regret having taken my car to them for a simple bumper repair and grill replacement. I thought I would receive a timely return, as indicated when I received the estimate, but after 2 weeks, I have realized my mistake. It appears, in addition to the body work delays, a "calibration" is required from another facility, to which the car must be towed one hour away. I was not informed of this situation at any time until I had to call the center and inquire regarding the delay. This failure in communication and timely service is unacceptable and I will not return to Diehl Collision for service anytime UPDATE: Yet another phone call from me to Diehl 30 min before closing today, when my vehicle was promised. No surprise, another excuse was produced for the additional delay. Feels like the Twilight Zone! I want my car back! They should be removed from list of insurance's authorized service centers.

My car was backed into in a parking lot it needed a fender a front bumper and the bracket that holds them together onto the frame and my door was rubbing on the fender so it needed repainted. On September 6th they were quoted to take 50 hours to fix it one week they told me. It is now October 29th it is not done yet I have been given all the excuses it's still in the tear down the part is on backorder till the end of this week it should be done next week oh it should be done midweek should be done at the end of the week oh somebody went on vacation. I do not have an extra vehicle to drive at all. The car insurance was supposed to pay for a rental through October 25th they gave me a 10-day extension. As of right now they are still telling me it should be done in a day or two as long as it doesn't have to go to calibration which they do not do on site. Going to diehl collision I thought would be easy because they are local but it was the worst decision I have ever made. I chose to purchase the extra insurance on the rental that I was given because I did not want a deductible if something happens to it. I am a part-time working mom that has to take my kid to preschool everyday and pick him up plus speech and physical therapy twice a week among other appointments. I have spent my entire paycheck for the entire month going towards the rental car.
