The location at 6201 32nd Ave S, St Paul, MN 55111, USA, is listed as Delta Airlines De-ice Facility. While the platform category is Auto Repair Stations, which typically implies services related to vehicle maintenance and repair, the name "De-ice Facility" suggests a primary function related to aircraft operations, specifically the removal of ice and snow from airplanes. This discrepancy is immediately highlighted by a customer review detailing an attempt to obtain an oil change at this location.
One customer searching for a "car repair and maintenance service" on Google was led to the Delta Airlines De-ice Facility. The reviewer noted difficulties in navigating to the location, mentioning unusual traffic in the form of "tiny car parade going on at the time (weird little buggies towing tiny trailers)." This suggests that the area might experience unique local events or activities that could affect navigation for those unfamiliar with the surroundings.
Upon arrival, the customer seeking an oil change unfortunately discovered that the Delta Airlines De-ice Facility does not offer this particular service, indicating a mismatch between the online categorization and the actual services provided at this location. Despite this lack of the requested service, the reviewer still rated their experience a surprising 4 out of 5 stars. This positive rating was attributed to a "lovely young man at Delta car repair and maintenance shop" who provided a free car wash before the customer departed to find a more suitable mechanic elsewhere. This act of goodwill suggests a level of customer service that extends beyond the facility's primary function.
However, the same reviewer also raised a potential concern regarding the facility's infrastructure, specifically mentioning that their water lines "seemed to be coming out awfully pink-tinted." This observation could indicate a potential issue with the water supply at the location, which might be relevant for any vehicle washing or other water-dependent services offered, or even for the general upkeep of the facility. It is important to note that this is a single observation from a customer and would require further investigation to determine the cause and significance of the pink-tinted water.
Interestingly, the provided reviews also include a seemingly unrelated comment about "terrible food" and "lumpy beds." This strongly suggests that at least one reviewer might have mistakenly associated this location with a different type of establishment, possibly one offering lodging or dining services. This further underscores the potential for confusion regarding the nature of the Delta Airlines De-ice Facility, especially if it appears in online searches for unrelated services.
Based on the available information, it is challenging to provide a detailed introduction to the environment, services, and features of the Delta Airlines De-ice Facility as a typical "Auto Repair Station." The primary function, suggested by its name, is likely the de-icing of aircraft, which involves specialized equipment and procedures entirely different from standard car repair and maintenance. The presence of a "lovely young man" who offered a free car wash implies that some form of vehicle washing might be available, perhaps as an ancillary service or a gesture of goodwill, rather than a core offering.
Given its function as a de-ice facility for Delta Airlines, the environment would primarily consist of areas dedicated to aircraft maintenance during winter conditions. This would likely include large open spaces where aircraft can be maneuvered, specialized de-icing equipment such as trucks with spraying apparatus, and storage for de-icing fluids. The presence of someone who could offer a car wash suggests there might be some basic vehicle maintenance infrastructure on-site, but likely geared towards operational vehicles rather than public car repair.
The services at a de-ice facility would predominantly revolve around ensuring the safe operation of aircraft in icy conditions. This involves:
- Application of de-icing fluids to remove ice and snow buildup from aircraft surfaces.
- Anti-icing treatments to prevent the formation of ice for a certain period.
- Inspection of aircraft surfaces for ice and snow.
- Coordination with flight operations to ensure timely de-icing procedures.
It is highly improbable that a facility primarily focused on aircraft de-icing would offer standard auto repair services like oil changes, brake repairs, or engine diagnostics. The customer who sought an oil change was explicitly informed that this service was not available.
The features of a Delta Airlines De-ice Facility would be specific to its aviation purpose:
- Specialized de-icing equipment and fluids.
- Trained personnel for aircraft de-icing procedures.
- Infrastructure to handle large aircraft.
- Adherence to strict aviation safety regulations.
- Potentially, as indicated by the review, a capacity for basic vehicle washing.
Promotional information for a facility like this, targeted towards local users seeking car repair, is unlikely to exist, as it does not appear to be its primary business. The positive gesture of a free car wash could be seen as an isolated act of good customer service rather than a formal promotion. The discrepancy in online categorization might lead to occasional misdirected customers, but it is improbable that the facility actively promotes car repair or maintenance services.
In conclusion, based on the available information, the Delta Airlines De-ice Facility located at 6201 32nd Ave S, St Paul, MN 55111, USA, is primarily an aviation-related operation focused on de-icing aircraft. While it appeared in a Google search for car repair and maintenance, it does not seem to offer standard automotive services like oil changes. A customer who visited received a complimentary car wash, suggesting a degree of customer service. However, a reported issue with pink-tinted water raises a potential concern about the facility's water supply. The inclusion of reviews about food and beds indicates possible confusion with other types of establishments. Local users seeking auto repair or maintenance are unlikely to find the services they need at this facility, despite its categorization on some platforms. It is advisable to verify the services offered by any auto repair station before visiting, especially if the name suggests a specialized function.

Needed an oil change and found this “car repair and maintenance service” place on Google. Had a hell of a time trying to find a route over there, especially since there seemed to be some sort of tiny car parade going on at the time (weird little buggies towing tiny trailers? Who knows what was going on…) Finally made it over there but unfortunately for me, this shop doesn’t do oil changes - thanks a lot, Google! Still rating 4/5 stars after the lovely young man at Delta car repair and maintenance shop gave me a free car wash before I left to find a more suitable mechanic. P.S. You guys should probably check your water lines, it seemed to be coming out awfully pink-tinted!
