David White Body Shop Introduce

David White Body Shop, situated at 769 Airways Blvd, Jackson, TN 38301, USA, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" with a specific focus on auto body and collision repair. For over three decades, having started in business in 1981, this establishment has been engaged in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. They can be contacted at (731) 424-3303 or via mobile at +1 731-424-3303. The shop's primary goal, as stated on their website, is to make an accident "as if it never happened." They are a direct repair/select service shop for most major insurance companies, aiming to streamline the repair process for customers involved in insurance claims.

As an "Auto Repair Station," David White Body Shop provides specialized services and goods pertinent to accident damage. Their core competency lies in addressing the aftermath of vehicle collisions, ranging from minor cosmetic issues to significant structural damage. This means their offerings are tailored to bodywork, painting, and the structural integrity of a vehicle post-impact.

The environment at David White Body Shop is designed for collision repair. They utilize modern facilities and advanced equipment, including state-of-the-art computerized, laser measuring systems like Car-O-Liner for accurate unibody repairs. This system, relying on ultrasound technology, is designed to ensure repairs meet factory blueprint specifications for speed and accuracy. For auto painting, they employ sophisticated paint booths with Downdraft and Baking Systems, together with Standox, to provide high-quality refinishing and color matching. While the physical environment of the waiting area isn't explicitly detailed, the technological investments highlight a commitment to precise and high-tech repair work. Their normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a consistent schedule for estimates and repairs.

The primary services offered by David White Body Shop include a range of collision-related repairs:

  • Unibody Repairs: A key service, utilizing a state-of-the-art computerized, laser measuring system (Car-O-Liner) to ensure accurate repairs to the vehicle's unibody structure, bringing it back to factory specifications.
  • Auto Painting and Refinishing: They provide high-quality refinishing and color matching, employing advanced paint booths and Standox paint systems to restore the vehicle's aesthetic appearance after repairs. They offer a lifetime written warranty on all their paint and bodywork.
  • Paintless Dent Repair (PDR): For smaller dents and dings, they offer PDR, a technique that allows for the removal of many dents without disturbing the original paint, potentially saving time and money.
  • General Collision Repair: This encompasses a wide range of repairs for accident-damaged vehicles, aiming to return the vehicle to its pre-accident condition or better. They handle insurance claims from start to finish, assisting customers with reporting accidents, obtaining claim numbers, and facilitating the repair process directly with insurance companies.
  • Mechanical Repairs (Pertaining to Collision Damage): While primarily a body shop, they provide mechanical repairs that are directly related to the original collision damage, which is crucial for a complete repair.
  • Parts Replacement: They install new parts, offering a lifetime limited warranty on these parts unless the manufacturer's warranty is less or more.

A key feature of David White Body Shop, as highlighted on their website, is their Limited Lifetime Warranty on repairs, valid for as long as the customer owns the vehicle. This warranty covers metalwork and framework (lifetime), painting (five-year limited warranty), mechanical repairs directly pertaining to original collision damage (lifetime), and new parts installed by the shop (lifetime, or manufacturer's warranty if different). They emphasize customer satisfaction and employ a professional staff and certified technicians with over thirty-five years of experience.

However, it is important to provide an objective introduction based on all available information, including customer reviews. Some recent customer experiences suggest inconsistencies in the execution of repairs and internal communication. One customer reported needing to return multiple times due to unaddressed damage and shoddy workmanship, including broken metal tabs, loose bolts, twisted wires, and missing/incorrect pop clips, which were initially missed in the "inspection." This experience indicates potential issues with initial assessments and rushed jobs by some individuals, leading to subsequent returns and customer frustration. Another customer who had vehicles damaged in a storm reported multiple return trips, unaddressed damages, and ultimately, a significant issue with a rear window seal leading to water leakage after the repairs were completed. This also points to concerns regarding thoroughness, quality control, and follow-up on completed work, leading to a prolonged and unsatisfactory resolution process for the customer.

These experiences highlight areas where the shop's stated goals of "making your accident as if it never happened" and delivering "finest quality repairs" may not always be consistently met for all customers. While the presence of dedicated and honest technicians like "Will Hopper" who ultimately rectified issues is noted, the initial problems with inspection and workmanship, as well as the "poor structure of command in handling the take back job," are significant points of feedback from customers.

Regarding promotional information, David White Body Shop's primary offering is their direct repair/select service relationship with most major insurance companies. This is advertised as a way to facilitate quicker repairs without unnecessary delays, easing the burden on customers navigating insurance claims. The Limited Lifetime Warranty on their repairs also serves as a significant promotional tool, aiming to instill confidence in the longevity and quality of their work. While specific discounts or seasonal promotions are not mentioned, their engagement with insurance companies and the warranty are central to their value proposition. For the most accurate and current promotional details, direct contact with David White Body Shop is recommended, as this information may change over time. However, the customer reviews indicate that while the intention for quality and efficiency is present, the execution can sometimes fall short, leading to additional effort on the customer's part to ensure a complete and satisfactory repair.

David White Body Shop Customer Reviews

Took car here for insurance claim, was not inspected properly before "repairs" were made by someone named Owen. Was told my push bumper did the magical job of somehow not damaging my internal reinforced bumper or brackets at all in a head on 30mph collision. I was skeptical but trusted this info till I drove it. Turns out this was a lie. Had to come back after being "fixed" when I noticed loud rattling, creaking, and grinding coming from the location of my collision. Talked to a guy, Hammers, and they tried to say it was the new bracket rubbing or possibly even my passenger strut. Third time I came back because I was worried my push bumper was compromised a guy came out and GREASED THE BOLTS I kid you not. It took them asking 2 other techs to even find out who had worked on it that day. Now here I am on the fourth time coming back and they finally have someone I know and trust work on my vehicle, Will Hopper (love this guy). He's right away honest with me and gets straight to the point shows me what was causing the sounds were several metal tabs holding my reinforced internal bumper were broken yet this was somehow missed in the original "inspection". Not only this but bolts were loose, wires twisted by hand and exposed, pop clips were missing or the wrong ones were installed in places. If not for Will getting all of this fixed and taken care of for me this would be a 1 star review. This was a small accident with little damage to the vehicle that was not properly inspected and the job was clearly rushed by an unskilled individual in the beginning. The structure of command was poor in handling the take back job as well. The amount of effort I had to go through to get the job done right is ridiculous.

Had vehicles damaged last year during March ‘23 storm. Took vehicles where insurance suggested, which was David White’s. Big mistake had to take car back three times before it was done. They were just trying to get the money and get us out the door. Then when it came to truck had to keep going out there, when told it was complete, just to see it wasn’t and point out what was missed. Then was told that brackets were bent under cab, which weren’t after letting two different Ford dealerships look at. Finally was told to come pick up and still was not finished. So after contacting insurance company for a year. They told me to just take to another body shop and so I did. Got dents repaired by other shop and truck was looking good. Now my vehicles are garage kept so had not really been in rain until this week. I put my new truck in garage and left this one outside to now discover rear window was never resealed and is leaking like a sieve. Now entire back seat, ceiling and floor are soaking wet, not to mention all my brochures, flyers etc. are ruined. Would not ever take anything to David White’s again and highly suggest no one else would….

The staff was great. Helped me get a rental car and made sure I knew what the final figures were. The repairs were awesome, just like new! They told me the repairs would be done in 3 days and it was done early. I use them for any personal and business vehicle repairs.
