Dave's Hot Rod Garage

Took my Monte Carlo to Dave’s Hot Rod Garage for a complete frame off resto-mod. The car was taken down to bare shell. Dave and his crew understood my vision for this project and how much this project meant to me. In such a large project, challenges come up and this team was able to tackle with no problem. They also came up with some creative suggestions, which I really appreciated. There is a lot to consider when doing a full frame off restoration/resto-mod. Dave and his team were focused on every detail, regardless how large or small the detail. The project included restoring the chassis, boxing the frame, LS3 + 4L70e swap, Vintage Air, suspension, all new wiring, exhaust, and so much more. My project was completed in November of 2019. Having the car for year now since completion, it has been an absolute DREAM driving the car. I find myself grinning ear to ear when cruising around in it. Dave and his team are very passionate about their work. They enjoy what they do and results show. It has been a pleasure having Dave and his team work on this project. They are honest people and are very fair/reasonable. They have a wealth of knowledge and often went above and beyond. For example, coming over on a Saturday to help load up the car (shell) on a trailer so I could transport the car back to their shop. I swear, they were just as invested in this project as I was! Dave did a tremendous job getting our 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 in top shape! Brought the car in after buying it without fully knowing everything that was wrong with it. Dave did a full inspection and detailed every issue with estimated cost nicely. He did more work than I can probably list, including fixing the oil pan, oil filter, starter, carb, brakes all around, and headlights. I am very pleased with his detail, pricing, timing, and communication. The Firebird has been running strong since Dave worked on her!

Dave didn’t let me know up front about pricing and was evasive about it. I had 70 chevelle which needed several things done. Radiator replaced and I had it all put together with an electric fan mounted ready to install and all they had to do was wire the fan up, re seal the intake and new plugs. $1800 Way over priced

hey dave and crew, big thumbs up to you guys! i've driven my '66 corvette more often this summer since you worked on it and it's never run better! big thanks for working out those carb issues as the car is now definitely more responsive and much more fun to drive. i highly recommend these guys! john 1966 corvette coupe

I live in Colorado and was interested in buying a vintage restomod in Detroit. I wanted someone to inspect it before I flew out there. I looked online for vehicle inspectors and was not impressed with what I found. So instead I looked for a shop that performed both restoration and performance. I found Dave's website by accident because he is on the opposite side of Detroit from the vehicle. However after speaking to Dave he was able to go and inspect it the very next morning. Dave arrived on time and performed a very thorough inspection and test drive. He called and sent pictures both during and after the inspection. Dave is very professional and thorough with his work. I flew to the Detroit and went to the dealer to buy the vehicle. I was very disappointed with the dealer and did not buy the vehicle. I gave the dealer a bad review and would not deal with them again. A total waste of time and money. Even though I did not buy the vehicle Dave was great to work with. I would highly recommend Dave. Wish I would of time to meet him in person while I was there. Thanks Dave for being very easy to work with and performing a great service while remaining reasonably priced.
