Has a harmonic balancer snap off with the sleeve still attached to the crank. Explained the situation to Dave on the phone. Proceeded to ask me questions and when I gave him an answer he told me I didn't need to explain it because he was a 'mechanic' and understood it. Okay cool. He refused to let me send pictures to see if it was a job he could even do and told me to tow it to his shop. I towed it to his shop. Dude let my shit sit for almost 4 weeks. Called him once a week for 2 weeks and he kept giving me the run around. 2 weeks in he told me he couldn't do it but someone else he knew could. He said he would contact him, he never did. After a month I finally contacted Dave again and he gave me the guys number who could do it. Went to Rob at clarksville engine repair and he was solid and had me laced up in 2 days. TLDR: Dave is a grumpy old condescending dick if he doesn't want to do the job you need done he won't. If he says he can't/won't do it. Take it to another shop immediately do not wait on him because he WILL NOT call or update you.

Mr. Dave and Mrs. Kay are such honest and good people that you don’t even see that anymore in this day and age. My dad, myself, and my husband have been using Mr. Dave’s auto care for many many years. Never once ever had an issue. His work is great and his prices are fair. He does everything he can to help anyone. These are the only people I would trust my car with. I know my car is in good hands here. Wish I could give him 100 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Grateful for Mr. Dave and Mrs. Kay!

3 1/2 hrs into a 7 day big spring break trip, our quick stop for lunch and gas became a major issue when our power steering went out. We were at a gas station next door and were able to drive to Dave's shop. He was willing to look at it on the spot, figure out what was wrong (faulty power steering pump installation 2 weeks earlier) and make the quick and easy fixes to get us back on the road. Dave took great care of us!

I had called and spoke with a woman in their front office, however Dave was in the background telling her how to do her job. So I made an appointment to get my AC fixed. He specifically told her to tell me to get there at 8 am. Ok, cool I could do that. So I get up there at 7:56. I went to check in, and he(assuming it was Dave), knew who I was, he said the AC in the Blazer. Correct. Then he tells me, you can’t wait, I would have to drop it off and leave it and he would get to it if he could. Ok, I said I was going to wait, since it’s my only form of transportation. Then he starts getting loud informing me he couldn’t do it today, bring it back tomorrow. I then said that I specifically made the appointment today, because the rest of my week was already booked with other appointments. He turned around threw his hands up, saying bring it back tomorrow, he couldn’t do it today. I can’t get over how rude and disrespectful he was. I wouldn’t give him one red cent to fix my car after that!!! How do people like him even stay in business is beyond me!! Did he treat me like that because he was in a bad mood, or because I am a woman? Don’t know, don’t care, I would highly recommend other people just avoid that type of behavior. That’s why I’m writing this so no one else can be treated like that!!!
