Dario's Auto Repair Shop

Dario is the best mechanic around. I have been taking my vehicles to him for about 2 years now and I wont go anywhere else. He is honest and patient and shows u what's wrong and explains it to you as well. My dad and my daughter both go to Dario for all service needs to their vehicles as well. I recommend him to anyone.

Dario doesn’t know how to speak with people. This man is very rude. Regardless of the fail communication he is very unprofessional. I highly recommend you don’t come here. You’re better off going somewhere else. Anywhere, but here! In addition to my poorly given service Mr. Dario didn’t even accommodate me. As I said Don’t come here.

Those of us that don't know much about automobiles absolutely dread going to a mechanic. Dario's was recommended to me by Mavis in Freeport. I had some work done at Mavis but there was an issue they couldn't handle (timing belt). I took it to Dario's and within an hour they called me and told me it was not the timing belt but something else that Mavis had previously repaired. I really appreciated this, they easily could have just replaced the timing belt amd charged me whatever and I wouldn't have been any the wiser. That's called integrity. If I have any future issues I will be going here.

Dario Auto Repair has some of the most intelligent and intuitive mechanics. These guys are able to fix anything. I brought my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban to them with severe misfiring and within minutes they were able to find the faulty wire that was causing the whole problem.

Never bring your car to this shop. I paid Dario $1500 to fix my vehicle and weeks later my car started to breakdown with the same issues I brought it in to be fixed for. I paid him to do my axles, a torque converter, and a tuneup. The shop put 1 new axle on and left one old axle on, my car has no new spark plugs, and now my car will turn on but won’t drive. This man doesn’t know how to speak with the public, will smile in your face and tear your car to pieces. Years ago I brought my car to him to have a brand new computer put in, the day after I bring it home my car doesn’t start. I tell him he says bring the bring back and says he put the wrong computer in my car after I paid for a brand new one. This man is not to be trusted and neither are his workers. I’m currently out of a car now because Dario refuses to fix or give my money back for the work that he never did in my vehicle. DON’T BRING YOUR CAR HERE EVER!

Today while running an errand for my employer from South Hempstead to Merrick and back, my car began to seriously overheat. I immediately thought of Dario and nursed my car to his shop on Main Street in Freeport. Dario doesn't know me as well as my company owners yet treated with kindness and respect. Within one hour Dario and his team found the problem, replaced the heater hose and I was on my way. Dario also advised me of other maintenance required. Dario earned my additional business and business a my number one mechanic. Thank you Dario.
