Curry Chevrolet Service Department Introduce

The Curry Chevrolet Service Department, located at 728 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583, USA, serves as a significant hub within the Auto Repair Stations category for local Chevrolet owners and other vehicle brands. Their contact numbers are (914) 723-9200 and +1 914-723-9200. As a dealership service department, they are designed to offer comprehensive automotive maintenance and repair services, specifically tailored to Chevrolet vehicles but also accommodating other makes and models. This establishment is part of the larger Curry Automotive group, which has a long history in the automotive industry.

For local users in Scarsdale, New Rochelle, Yonkers, White Plains, Tuckahoe, and Hartsdale, Curry Chevrolet's Service Department is presented as a primary destination for vehicle care. Their positioning as a certified Chevrolet service center means they should possess specialized knowledge, tools, and genuine GM parts for Chevrolet vehicles. However, it's important to approach any service center with an objective perspective, considering both the stated offerings and varied customer experiences.

The environment of Curry Chevrolet's Service Department, as a modern dealership, is generally designed to be professional and accommodating. Online information suggests that the facility underwent a renovation in 2013 to conform to General Motors' new facility requirements. Dealership service centers typically feature multiple service bays, advanced diagnostic equipment, and a parts department stocked with genuine OEM components. For customers, this often translates to a comfortable waiting area, potentially with amenities such as Wi-Fi access and refreshments, reflecting a standard of customer care associated with a franchised dealership. The large footprint of the Curry Automotive complex on Central Park Avenue likely provides ample parking and a structured intake process for service appointments. They also advertise a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, indicating a commitment to broader accessibility.

The services provided by Curry Chevrolet Service Department are comprehensive, covering a broad spectrum of automotive needs. These typically include, but are not limited to, **routine maintenance** such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. They also handle more involved **mechanical repairs**, encompassing everything from brake services and engine tune-ups to more complex transmission issues and emissions system repairs. As a Chevrolet dealership, they are equipped to perform **warranty repairs** on Chevrolet vehicles, which is a key advantage for owners whose cars are still under manufacturer warranty. Their service center is staffed by ASE-certified and factory-trained, GM-certified technicians, implying a high level of expertise specific to Chevrolet vehicles. The availability of genuine Chevrolet parts ensures that replacements are of the highest quality and precisely fitted to the vehicle. They also offer a body shop on-site, equipped with technology to make cars "look like new" after repairs, suggesting capabilities for collision repair beyond just mechanical fixes. Customers can also schedule service appointments and order parts conveniently through their website.

Among the features of Curry Chevrolet's Service Department, their **affiliation with Chevrolet** and access to GM-certified technicians and genuine parts is a primary selling point. This generally assures customers that their vehicles are being serviced by individuals who understand the intricacies of Chevrolet engineering. The capability to handle **warranty repairs** is another significant feature, providing peace of mind for owners of newer Chevrolet models. Additionally, the option to **schedule service online** and the stated commitment to timely service are modern conveniences that enhance the customer experience. Some positive reviews mention a "quick turnaround" for service and "excellent customer service" from individual staff members, along with a comfortable waiting room, suggesting that efficient service and a pleasant environment can be experienced.

However, an objective introduction necessitates acknowledging all facets of customer feedback. One detailed customer review highlights significant concerns regarding the service department. This review alleges **deliberate misleading of customers** to perform unnecessary repairs, particularly focusing on a warranty repair where the customer claims to have been "gaslit" into paying for a non-issue part. The review also points to **poor communication** and a perceived lack of interest from upper management (specifically "Steve," the service manager) in addressing documented concerns about employee conduct. A severe accusation of **not replacing a part they claimed to have replaced** and charging for it under warranty, with the General Manager reportedly stating "See you in court" when confronted with this, points to serious potential issues regarding integrity and accountability. This contrasts sharply with the general expectation of transparency and honesty from an authorized dealership service center. The customer's experience of still having the original check engine code after the repair, and another dealership confirming a part was not replaced, raises questions about the thoroughness and ethical standards of certain repairs performed at this location. This particular experience suggests a potential inconsistency in service quality and customer care that local users should be aware of when considering this service department.

Regarding promotional information, Curry Chevrolet Service Department, as part of a larger dealership, leverages various strategies. Their website often features **service and parts specials**, which can include rebates on specific parts like struts, shocks, brake rotors, and tire pressure monitor sensors. These promotions are designed to attract customers by offering cost savings on common maintenance and repair needs. The emphasis on factory-trained technicians and genuine parts also serves as a promotional tool, assuring customers of quality and reliability. While not explicitly stated as a promotion in the provided text, the convenience of being able to schedule appointments online and their presence near major roads like Central Park Avenue naturally promotes accessibility. The fact that they cater to a broad geographic area including New Rochelle, Yonkers, White Plains, Tuckahoe, and Hartsdale is also a form of market positioning. However, the promotional efforts might be countered by negative customer experiences, which, as evidenced by the detailed review, can significantly impact a business's reputation despite other advertised benefits. For local users, weighing the advertised benefits and specials against the range of customer feedback, particularly concerning trust and repair integrity, is crucial for making an informed decision about their vehicle service needs.

Curry Chevrolet Service Department Customer Reviews

Long story short, the staff (Tristan) will absolutely lie to you to convince you to get more work done than is necessary, and the upper management (Steve) has no interest in doing anything about it but reduce your already hyperinflated bill. I brought in my Volt for a warranty repair on the emissions system and they refused to do any further diagnostics until I paid $800 to fix a connector where the clip had broken due to it being brittle while I did my own diagnosis. The connector was firmly zip tied in place so I was sure it was no issue. While this may seem understandable from their perspective, the staff deliberately lied to me saying they had tested every other component and the connector had to be the issue. This was no misunderstanding, Tristan told me they spent "2.7 hours" taking the relevant components out and testing them individually and I would need to pay more if I wanted them to do anything further. After telling them the issue started *before* I broke the connector clip they again insisted they tested everything. After being gaslit into agreeing to repair the connector I called back less than 20 minutes later to change my mind. I was later told the repair was mostly done by that time despite them trying to charge me 3 hours labor for it. Only then did they actually do any diagnostics and tell me the warranty repair I brought it in for needed to be done. When I told the service manager Steve I was deliberately misled into doing more repairs than necessary and had the lies recorded he had no interest in listening to the recordings. If you were the manager and are told your employee was recorded lying wouldn't you want to hear it? The $800 connector was talked down to $500 then eventually around $250 as they dug themselves a deeper hole of lies. After days of stress and about an hour and a half total of arguing on the phone and in person with proof I was lied to this is in my opinion still not good enough. No respectable business would charge a customer a dime for their malpractice. At the end of the day I got my warranty repair done only to find out yet more diagnostics weren't done and there are more issues that need to be resolved. I still have the same check engine code I brought it in for but I'll just have to take my car elsewhere because I refuse to have these people touch my car again. Update: Another dealership told me Curry did not replace the part they claim they did and cannot fix it under warranty since it was already "fixed" recently. Its hard to see in my photo but this is the top of the EGR cooler Curry claimed to have replaced just 200 miles ago. Rob Conti, the general manager of Curry's response? "See you in court". We'll see what GM corporate thinks since it was their money being stolen for work that wasn't done.

Service was great when I went. I was shocked at how quick of a turnaround there was. I've been there in the past and waited over 2 hours but this time I was done within and hr and a half.

I was a loyal customer of this establishment to the extent where I even purchased a vehicle from them, as well as servicing two other vehicles at their facility. My last experience was not a good one. I initially took in my vehicle for a basic oil change service and there was an issue with the vehicle shifting/wobbling from side to side. During that visit, I had to initiate phone most phone calls in order to get updates on my vehicle. it turned out that after my vehicle being in there possession for service in their facility for three weeks, I was told that all I needed was Tires. When I went down there to retrieve my vehicle after giving a four day notice of when I was going to pick up my vehicle. When I got there, my vehicle was not properly cleaned when it was returned to me. During my ownership of that vehicle, never have I allowed it or seen it in such a filthy, unpresentable and unacceptable manner as it was returned to me. Their general manager did returned my call and accepted full responsibility and stated that was totally unacceptable and should’ve never happened. Obviously, he had no other choice, but to take full ownership and responsibility for what had occurred. I allowed them to install the tires that I need. Basically, I received an oil change and a full set of tires replaced, which took a total of four weeks. Never have I ever heard of this happening. I must mention that was the first time of the many times that I have bought my vehicles there for service that I experienced such a poor service. Take it for what it is. In my case, it is not too far from my residence and is an easy pick up and drop off convenience. At least it’s supposed to be. Moving forward, if in the future I would need services I would have to seriously consider it on many levels, if I was to decide to take my vehicle back to this establishment ever again.

If I could give a negative rating I would. I recently called the service department to ask about an on going issue with my 2020 traverse. The problem has been the constant unbarring squeaking noises that come EVERY SINGLE time i break. This car was bought used but in perfect conditions. The break problem did not start until a short month after purchase in 2023. I have children, being that said. Having the inconvenience of having to bring my car 3 times since purchase for the same issue and being told “it should not happen again” irritates me. I had to bring my car somewhere else where a highly qualified experienced mechanic gave me in great detail about what was the actual problem with the car. In which, he stated it was not only the brakes being incorrectly done but also my transmission be compromised with another issue were my car also “stalls” while driving. In which to this day now, it still does it 😡. So with that said, do I want to go back to this specific place? NO. Ive seen already 3 new managers since purchase of the car whom clearly have no sense of trying to resolve the issue at hand but rather come out with bull out of their minds. Extremely unsatisfied and disappointment in the lack oh how these situations are being handled. Being a mother of 4 small children and having to make necessary changes in my daily schedule to bring my car in to think they would resolve the issue is extremely frustrating. Would i recommend other moms going to chevy curry to get a car? Perhaps but with service absolutely not!!!

I've leased three cars from Curry Chevy. The problem started with the service department. I've had many issues with my present car with the transmission and the radio. I've also had a lot of scheduled maintenance done at Curry service as well. I purchased an additional warranty to cover oil changes, tire rotations, key fob and windshield wiper blades. Almost every single time I brought my car in for maintenance that was covered by the additional warranty, I informed the service person of the warranty and gave them my policy information. Almost every time, the repair was supposed to be covered in full under the additional warranty and when I went to pick up my car there was a balance that they said I had to pay. I had checked with the company who issued the policy ahead of time. I had many back and forths with the service manager and the service reps only to find out each time Curry made a mistake. This was so stress provoking and such a waste of my time and energy! The service staff didn't want to listen. They were disrespectful and rude. I had brought my car in several times each for two separate repair issues. The service associates told me that they couldn't find anything wrong. I had asked them if there were any recalls which might be causing these reoccurring problems and I was told that they checked and that there weren't any. I finally went to another Chevy dealership after experiencing the same problems again and they told me that there was a recall and updates that were causing these problems and the techs there updated my car's computer and the car is running fine now. I don't experience those problems anymore after the updates. I found the service reps and the service manager to be uncaring, rude, disrespectful and they never wanted to listen. I'll never ever purchase or lease another car from Curry Chevy again!!
