Word to the wise, if you have snow tires and regular tires (even mounted on separate rims, as mine are), they want 40 bucks to switch them. Discount tire does it for free. Costco will balance them for free, in which case they still have to pull them off the vehicle and put them back on again, so same amount of work, but 40 bucks to switch. I spent $1200 between my two sets of tires and the fact that they want 40 bucks to switch them twice a year is BS. Especially considering winter tires are softer rubber so you need to replace them more often, meaning more business for them. It's asinine. Do better Costco. I'll never buy tires at Costco again unless they change the policy.

Had a tire on back of vehicle that had a nail in it, stopped and had the nail removed and a plug installed, at another gas station. few weeks later went in to Costco have the tires rotated. They saw the plug and said that they would replace the tire, it’s a front wheel drive vehicle and the tires are barely worn, ordered the new tire because they said they wouldn’t honor the warranty if I just left the plug in and rotated tires. So tires were rotated rear tires to front and front tires to back. So the tire with the plug was now on the front. Stopped by to get the new tire installed. Told the person at desk that the tire with the plug is front right, replace tire and put new tire in its place, they said it’s there policy to put new tires to the rear, told them tires were just rotated so can’t put the current rear tire to the front because it was just removed from the front to the rear a week earlier. Person at desk wrote on paperwork to put tire on front. they pulled the rear tire off moved it up front and put the new tire on rear, they could have cared less what I wanted. So now I have a tire on the front that’s already been on there for 10,000 miles and I have to go back a third time to get the new tire switched to the front and the front tire put back on the rear so that the rotation is correct. Have spent three hours at Costco getting tires rotated and switched out and now I have to go back to get the new tire put up front the way I wanted it originally. They also always over inflate the tires and don’t follow the manufacturers recommendations for inflation.

Listen to the low reviews! I wish I did. I will never come back to this Costco. I recently purchased 4 tires from their Eagan location. Installation went great. I came back a week later for a torque check this is where all my issues began. First I asked a tire employee what I need to do to get a torque check and was given an attitude whilst told to just “go over there”. 2 guys come and do a torque check for me. I went to get Costco gas and noticed my hub cap broken. The employee broke my hub cap, took the broken piece, didn’t tell me about it, and left. I went to speak to the tire center supervisor who was kind and offered to purchase a replacement cap. The supervisor spoke to the employee and I was told that “the employee is newer and we let him know that he needs to bring things up like this”. I’m sorry but this was an intentional act and there were 2 GUYS who were complicit in this with no apology. I leave and noticed now my tire pressure sensor going off for that specific tire with the broken hub cap. I come back and ask if someone can double check that nothing else is damaged. I was told I needed to wait ~2 hours? This now has wasted 3 hours of my day. I asked the tire employee to call me before working on the tire as now I don’t trust the employees. I got no call and was given attitude by the tire employee. I will never come here again. I’m considering cancelling my Costco membership in general. It’s been nothing but headaches in general with the employees.

We purchased our sport tires from Costco a while ago and they have been so great about rotating them And helped us recently when there was a nail in one of the tires. Just stopped there Saturday since we were getting a warning that one tire was low. Even though I had no appointment, Faustino helped me make sure the tires were inflated with nitrogen correctly. I appreciate the friendly, great service!!

It will probably take you 2-3 weeks to do the full process. I had to order my tires online and then it took a couple weeks to get to them sent to the store. There is a separate process to schedule the actual replacement appointment, which only lets you schedule a week or two out, probably because of shipping but this system doesn't talk to the ordering system so you kinda have to put it in and hope the tire arrive in time but if they have arrived its now too far out? By the time all this happened my tires were too bad and I ended up needing to replace them elsewhere. Now I have to go into the store in order to do a refund even though they have the tires there... My recommendation is to make an appointment with a tires specific place like Discount tire. It was the same price and much easier to get done. The systems Costco use for this process are just not very efficient.
