Cornwell's Truck Repair Introduce

Cornwell's Truck Repair, located at 7063 S Craycroft Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756, presents itself as an "Auto Repair Station" specifically geared towards the maintenance and repair of trucks, likely focusing on commercial vehicles, semi-trucks, and heavy-duty diesel engines given its name and the nature of customer feedback. As a specialized repair facility in Tucson, AZ, its primary function is to address the complex mechanical needs of larger vehicles, which often differ significantly from standard passenger cars. While specific details about the shop's physical environment, such as its facilities or amenities for drivers, are not available, the experiences shared by customers provide an insight into the operational aspects and overall atmosphere of the business.

The services offered by Cornwell's Truck Repair, based on the provided customer reviews, include a range of critical repairs for heavy-duty vehicles. These services appear to involve mechanical repairs such as addressing issues with s-cam brackets on truck axles, which are vital for brake system functionality. They also handle air leak diagnostics and repairs on trailers, a common and critical issue for commercial transport. More significantly, they undertake major engine component work, as evidenced by a review detailing a fan clutch replacement on an X15 Cummins engine, a common and powerful diesel engine used in heavy trucks. This indicates their capacity to perform complex, high-value repairs on specialized diesel powerplants. Furthermore, the mention of a "head blew" and subsequent replacement costing "34K" suggests that Cornwell's Truck Repair also engages in extensive engine overhaul or replacement services, indicating a capability to address severe mechanical failures.

The features of Cornwell's Truck Repair, as described by customer accounts, paint a challenging picture of customer service and business practices. One review from a trucker highlights several critical issues. Firstly, concerns about repair timeliness and adherence to commitments are raised, with the customer stating, "guy said he can fix it by end of day... then said they will resume morning at 7... it’s 11 am and it’s the same way they left it last it." This suggests potential difficulties with prompt service and meeting promised timelines, which are crucial for commercial drivers operating on strict schedules. Secondly, significant concerns about customer interaction and professionalism are detailed, including accusations of the staff becoming "wild with me," getting "in my face," and even calling the police on a customer. The allegation of a "racist ass place" further suggests severe issues with respect and equitable treatment of all customers. The refusal to "put the stuff back the same way it was and won’t fix it" points to concerns regarding the quality of repairs and reassembly, as well as potential abandonment of work. Furthermore, the denial of access to the owner's number and subsequent blocking of the customer's phone number indicate a severe breakdown in communication and accountability.

Another review corroborates and expands on these concerns, particularly regarding service quality and business integrity. The incident involving a 76-year-old lady and a fan clutch replacement leading to a "head blew" problem just 20 miles later raises serious questions about the quality and thoroughness of initial repairs, or potential negligence contributing to further damage. The review explicitly labels Paul, who "runs the place," as a "certified liar," accusing him of denying responsibility and providing contradictory information regarding repairs. The customer's detailed account of Paul's statements, such as "all i did was take it off and put it back on" in response to a 'head' issue, while maintaining that snapped bolts were "totally unrelated to his work," highlights potential issues with transparency, honesty, and accountability for work performed. The exorbitant cost of the head replacement ($34,000) and the continued delays in getting the truck done "in a timely manner" further compound the concerns regarding pricing fairness and project management. The review also mentions issues with unmounted tires despite assurances, and Paul's alleged attempts to intentionally delay the customer, preventing them from making scheduled loads. This suggests a pattern of misleading communication, deliberate delays, and a lack of concern for customer logistics and financial impact.

Given the nature of the reviews, promotional information for Cornwell's Truck Repair is not readily apparent in a positive light from public customer feedback. The experiences shared are overwhelmingly negative, suggesting that the primary "features" from a customer perspective relate to significant service delivery issues, poor communication, and disputes over quality and pricing. The reviews themselves, while serving as direct customer testimonials, would likely deter potential new customers rather than attract them. There is no positive promotional content available that can be objectively introduced based on the provided information. Instead, the current information suggests that the primary promotional aspects, if any, would be overshadowed by the severe customer complaints. Potential customers would likely rely on word-of-mouth or online reviews to gauge the business, and in this case, the available information points to substantial challenges.

For individuals or companies seeking truck repair services in Tucson, AZ, it is imperative to exercise due diligence when considering Cornwell's Truck Repair. The provided phone numbers are (520) 790-7990 and +1 520-790-7990. The address is 7063 S Craycroft Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756. However, based on the extremely negative and detailed customer accounts, potential clients are strongly advised to approach this business with extreme caution, thoroughly investigate its current reputation through multiple sources, and secure clear, written agreements regarding scope of work, timelines, and costs before committing to any repairs. The severity of the complaints, including allegations of unprofessional conduct, dishonesty, and substantial financial implications, demands a careful and informed decision-making process for any prospective customer of Cornwell's Truck Repair.

Our driver whos a 76 year old lady had them do a fan clutch on the x15 cummins for $1780, and the truck made it 20 miles before the "head blew" the asshat that runs the place Paul is a certified liar. He denied messing with the Hub on the head and then when I confronted him he said "all i did was take it off and put it back on" but SOMEHOW the issue with the head is the bolts snapped totally unrelated to his work.. Theyve lied to this lady for days on ends and how she needs this and that, a head costed us 34K at their shop, and they STILL cant get the truck done in a timely manner. Paul is a habitual liar and lives in a burnt down camper outside the shop.. Linda informed me her tires she had them order as well were not even mounted, after him calling me stupid that theyve been mounted since Monday, BUT THE MECHANIC THAT GOT HER FROM THE HOTEL SAID HE HAS TO RUN AND GET ONE FOR HER?? After I called him back to confront his lies he just hung up the phone.. I informed him nicely the day before we had a load lined up to finally get out of there after telling us for 2 days hes putting the radiator back in so we can plan accordingly, hes purposely kept her there all day until past the time of the loads appointment. Spent all day since 7am to 5pm telling me hes getting the radiator in for 2 days. He cannot keep up with his lies..

Went there for a brake light problem on my Freightliner Sport Chassis. After a Rocky Start, some debate and a little time, the manager worked on the issue and squared me away. He even repaired some unrelated things @ no cost to me. They have the normal staffing problems & could work on communications between staff members and with customers, but the manager is a saint to continue working here. & does his best with what he has. (Good Help is Hard to Find) he went above and beyond the normal service garage & the price was much better than expected. As stated it took some time, 2 days, but I am retired & was in the area RVing. I will use them again if I need work done. RV RON

This company could be the worst service company for your semi you’ll ever deal with. All they do is make excuses and keep charging you for hours and hours of service that they’re throwing parts at. I would stay as far as away as I can from this company, unless you just wanna spend thousands of dollars and get nothing accomplished. I’ve been doing semi trucking for years and years and years. I’ve never met any company that’s as bad as this company. I kept giving them a chance after another chance after another chance and all I did was get screwed every single time. If you wanna throw your money away deal with this company.

Absolutely the worst shop ever! I towed my truck in, got a diagnosis for head gaskets. They said they had the best 6.0 guy in Arizona. He never worked on it. They had my truck for a month. They changed the head gaskets and put studs in it. They broke all kinds of things on the truck: wiring harness, exhaust bolts. Now I need a whole new truck. I spent a fortune there, just to get my truck back in worse shape than when I brought it in. Worst place ever! They robbed me.
