Consolidated Vehicle Converters Introduce
Welcome to Consolidated Vehicle Converters, located at 4991 Hempstead Station Dr, Kettering, OH 45429, USA. Operating within the platform category of "Auto Repair Stations," which encompasses businesses providing both services and goods for sale related to vehicle maintenance and repair, Consolidated Vehicle Converters primarily focuses on supplying auto parts. You can contact them at (937) 443-0408 or via mobile at +1 937-443-0408 for inquiries about their inventory and pricing.
As an auto parts store, Consolidated Vehicle Converters likely offers a range of components necessary for vehicle repair and maintenance. While specific details about the store's environment, such as its size, organization, or additional services offered (like installation or advice), are not available online, customer reviews provide some insights into the quality and pricing of their products, particularly their torque converters.
Based on the limited feedback from real customers, there appear to be significant concerns regarding the quality and pricing of the torque converters supplied by Consolidated Vehicle Converters. One customer, who claims to purchase "a few dozen torque converters a month," reports receiving "way too many of these back." This indicates a potential issue with the reliability and durability of the converters, leading to returns and additional costs for the buyer, who then has to pay their employee to replace them with converters from other brands like Precision or Recon. The advice to "throw it in the scrap barrel" if a converter is painted silver is a strong negative indicator of perceived low quality associated with a specific product characteristic.
Another customer expresses strong dissatisfaction with the pricing of CVC Converters ordered through Transfer. They state that prices have increased dramatically, "50 to over 100 percent," and that they purchase around 40 converters a month. This significant price hike is deemed "price gouging by LKQ" (likely referring to a parent or affiliated company), which the customer finds unacceptable. Consequently, they are actively seeking a new converter supplier, indicating a loss of business due to these pricing concerns. The customer also notes that they believe "other buyers feel the same way," suggesting a broader issue with the pricing strategy.
Further reinforcing the negative feedback, the same customer provides an update dated 9/18/23, stating that "these converters have lockup issues and the prices have doubled and the quality sucks." This paints a concerning picture of a decline in product quality coinciding with a substantial increase in price. The customer explicitly mentions that the converters "use to be a good converter and now they are garbage," highlighting a perceived deterioration in the product over time.
Considering these customer reviews, it is difficult to provide a positive or encouraging introduction for Consolidated Vehicle Converters based solely on this information. The feedback overwhelmingly points to significant issues with both the quality and the pricing of their primary product, torque converters. These concerns are raised by customers who appear to be regular, high-volume buyers, making their experiences particularly relevant for other businesses or individuals in need of these parts.
Given the lack of positive feedback and the serious allegations regarding product quality and price gouging, it would be imprudent to speculate on any positive features or promotional information for Consolidated Vehicle Converters. The available data strongly suggests that potential customers, particularly those in need of torque converters, should exercise caution and potentially seek alternative suppliers. The negative reviews highlight the risk of receiving faulty parts and facing unexpectedly high prices.
For local users in Kettering, OH, or those in the surrounding areas looking for an "Auto Repair Station" that supplies auto parts, specifically torque converters, the online feedback regarding Consolidated Vehicle Converters raises red flags. While the store is physically located at 4991 Hempstead Station Dr, and can be contacted at the provided phone numbers, the experiences shared by customers indicate potential problems with product reliability and pricing practices.
It is important for local users to conduct their own due diligence and potentially seek multiple sources and quotes for their auto parts needs. If considering Consolidated Vehicle Converters, it would be advisable to inquire specifically about the quality and warranty of their products, as well as to obtain clear and transparent pricing information. The negative experiences shared online should serve as a cautionary note for potential buyers.
In conclusion, based on the available customer reviews, Consolidated Vehicle Converters appears to be facing significant challenges regarding the quality and pricing of their torque converters. The feedback suggests a decline in product quality and substantial price increases, leading to customer dissatisfaction and a search for alternative suppliers. Local users in need of auto parts, particularly torque converters, should be aware of these concerns and proceed with caution if considering Consolidated Vehicle Converters.

I buy a few dozen torque converters a month. I get way too many of these back, then I get to pay my employee out of my pocket to replace them with a Precision or a Recon torque converter. If its painted silver, throw it in the scrap barrel.

I ordered a CVC Converter from Transfer and prices have gone up 50 to over 100 percent. I buy about 40 converters a month. I will be looking for a new converter supplier because price gouging by LKQ is not acceptable and I know other buyers feel the same way. 9/18/23 these converters have lockup issues and the prices have doubled and the quality sucks. It use to be a good converter and now they are garbage.
