Cleves Transmission And Clutch Customer Reviews

I’ve been hesitant on posting this because I thought that he would be an honest man and eventually pay My husband and I back but I guess that’s not gonna happen. We took our Suburban in to get a new transmission in November of 2022 because Cleve was so sweet and assured us that he would be able to “get it done”. He agreed to do payment plans with us so we gave him $200 first and then 5 days later we gave him $2000 he then told us he could rebuild the transmission and we wouldn’t have to give him any more money because what we gave him covered the kit and the labor. He told us to give him a month because he was busy. We called at the end of December he told us he hadn’t got the kit yet to call again in a month. We called in January he told us he was finally working on it and that he needed 2 more weeks. We went back and forth with him for 6 months while my SUV sat in the same exact spot not touched. I finally had my husband call and tell him we were coming to get our suburban and our money. Cleve then proceeded to tell my husband that he did not have our money or the rebuild kit he told us he bought. That was in May of 2023. He told my husband that once he gets the money he will pay us back. It is now October of 2024 and still nothing from him. We’ve given up on hope of him being a decent person. Instead he took advantage of 2 younger adults. I still have all my the receipts and all the calls.

I paid to have my transmission rebuilt. I paid $600/ cash down then waited and waited for 5weeks. I got my truck back & in 100 miles & strangle enough it was acting the EXACT SAME WAY AS WHEN HE GOT IT. Wonder if he did anything other than change the fluid. Brought it back to him, then waited, now another 6 weeks & it still hasn't been STARTED. I'm pretty sure he isn't going to leave any options other than Court

I went to get my brakes and wheel bearing done on 8/20/18 by Brandon. He finished my brakes in less than 30 minutes and did an amazing job! I met Cleve and he is a well rounded nice guy. I will be returning for all my future car needs. Prices are also very reasonable. Very happy customer.

Charged $2300 me to "rebuild transmission" never took it out of my vehicle. Failed within 100 miles. Took it back, got it back the next day, still has original problems. I had 4 other mechanics tell me it was never out of my vehicle since it was put in at the factory.

Awful. No communication and if he does, its all lies. Don't waste your time. I'm sending a tow truck after my vehicle today because it's still not repaired after sitting on his lot for 9 months for a warranty repair. He originally started working on it almost a year and a half ago. No sense on urgency and either ducks your calls or lies to you. I'll recoup what I can in court.
