For motorcycle enthusiasts and riders in Aurora, Illinois, and the wider surrounding region, CIMA International, located at 1585 Beverly Ct Ste 118, Aurora, IL 60502, USA, operates as a specialized auto parts store, though its focus appears to be distinctly within the motorcycle and powersports segment rather than general automotive repair. This distinction is crucial for local users seeking specific types of parts and services. CIMA International seems to be a significant distributor or retailer for specific motorcycle brands and related accessories, most notably Nolan helmets and their integrated N-Com communication systems.
The environment at CIMA International, given its specialized nature, would likely feature a showroom or retail space dedicated to motorcycle helmets, parts, and accessories. As a distributor, they would also have warehousing for their inventory. Customer interactions primarily occur through phone calls and potentially in-person visits for pickups or consultations. The review mentioning a "factory dealer install of the n-com commo system" suggests they have a service area or workshop equipped for specialized installations and possibly repairs of the products they sell. While not a traditional auto repair station in the sense of servicing cars and trucks, their environment is tailored to support the unique needs of motorcycle riders, ensuring they have access to specific parts and technical assistance related to their products. The fact that a customer received a call confirming their order just minutes after placing it indicates an efficient and attentive back-office operation.
CIMA International's services and goods for sale are highly specialized, focusing on premium motorcycle equipment. Based on the customer reviews, their core offerings include:
- Nolan Helmets: They appear to be a key source for Nolan brand helmets, which are known for their modular design and integrated communication capabilities.
- N-Com Communication Systems: A significant part of their business involves the N-Com system, which integrates into Nolan helmets for rider communication. They offer both the sale of these systems and potentially installation services, as highlighted by the "factory dealer install" mentioned in a review.
- Helmet Replacement Parts: As indicated by the discussion around windscreens and locking pins, they sell individual components for the helmets they distribute. This is critical for riders needing to repair or maintain their existing gear without purchasing entirely new items.
- Order Fulfillment and Logistics: Their quick order confirmation and ability to "pull some strings" to find desired items, even when the factory in Italy was closed, points to strong logistical capabilities and a commitment to sourcing products for their customers.
While the business category is "Auto Repair Stations," it's clear from the reviews that their focus is on specific motorcycle product sales and support rather than general vehicle mechanical repair. They provide specialized products and associated technical services, ensuring riders have access to the parts and expertise needed for their particular motorcycle gear.
The features of CIMA International are a mixed bag, reflecting varying customer experiences. On the positive side, one customer lauded their "amazing service," highlighting a rapid phone call confirmation after placing an order. This level of responsiveness is highly appreciated, especially in a market where such immediate follow-up might be unexpected. The ability of the team, specifically Suzanne and other hard-working individuals, to "pull some strings" and locate desired products even when faced with supply chain challenges (like a factory closure in Italy) demonstrates exceptional dedication and resourcefulness. Offering a "factory dealer install" for the N-Com commo system is a significant value-added service, ensuring proper integration and functionality. This aspect of their service suggests a deep product knowledge and a commitment to professional installation, which is a crucial feature for complex electronic systems.
Conversely, another review points to a concerning feature regarding their warranty policy and customer service for product issues. The customer's frustration stems from a warranty that "does not cover locking pins for windscreen" and a perceived "apathetic" response when seeking a resolution. The lack of an offer for a discount on future purchases or replacement parts, despite the issue, suggests a rigid approach to certain product failures. This aspect highlights a potential weakness in their post-sale support, particularly concerning items not explicitly covered by warranty. The customer's disappointment with the "poor design, poor service" of the Nolan N44 helmet and the company's response suggests that while they are a source for these products, their customer service ethos might not always align with customer expectations, especially when product quality or specific warranty exclusions become points of contention.
In terms of promotional information, CIMA International's primary method appears to be their reputation within the motorcycle community, particularly among Nolan helmet users. The positive customer review acts as a strong endorsement, showcasing their ability to deliver even under challenging circumstances. While specific promotional offers like discounts on products are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, their commitment to "amazing service" and their capacity to source specialized and sometimes hard-to-find items serve as powerful draws. Their phone numbers, (630) 701-1601 and mobile phone +1 630-701-1601, are the direct lines for inquiries, orders, and technical support. Given the mixed feedback, potential customers should consider calling ahead to discuss their specific needs, especially concerning product warranties or complex installations, to ensure their expectations align with the services CIMA International provides. Their niche specialization makes them a unique and essential resource for a specific segment of the automotive community, emphasizing their role as a dedicated supplier for high-quality motorcycle gear.

CIMA International Customer Reviews
Warranty does not cover locking pins for windscreen. Apathetic regarding their product and service. Did not even to offer a discount on a future purchase of a helmet or replacement parts as an alternative for example. I was told a new windscreen and locking pins would cost $45 and $10. I can buy a quality used modular helmet for $80 from my neighbor. Why should I bother with Nolan, when they could care less? N44 helmet isn't that good anyway. I suggest looking for another modular helmet. Overall poor design, poor service. I guess I should pity them. They do live in Illinois.

I'd also like to thank the good folks at Cima International of Aurora, Illinios for their amazing service. Not 10 minutes after I placed the order, I got a phone call confirming my order. With the sales of motorcycle products facing a 77% decline as of late, I'm wondering if someone didn't fall off their chair when my order popped up on the screen. With the factory in Italy being closed they had to pull some strings and they not only found what I wanted, they are also doing a factory dealer install of the n-com commo system. They told me it ships early next week. Can't wait! Thanks Suzanne and all the other hard working people out there trying to make a buck. Hope I was as helpful to you as you were to me.

Worst helmet I have ever owned. Lining is almost impossible to put back in. Visor hinge unscrewed after 3 months, impossible for me to replace screws. Had to use gorilla glue. I bought the X-lite X-403GT. Don't buy it!
