Cafe Racer Customer Reviews

Great place... Café Racer is upholding a tradition of motor sports that is almost lost. The team at Café Racer Ypsi is passionate about what they do and they will not sugar coat telling people when they should or should not invest in their motorcycle. They know the industry better than most and support the motor cycle community unlike any other shop in southeast Michigan. Their Ton-Up show (every year second Sunday of august) is a great event and helps bring people to Ypsi. If you go to their shop you should have a purpose for going. They do not usually sell motorcycles but it is worth asking. They are very busy (not many shops work on all different makes, models and vintage motorcycles) so do not waste their time.

Malisa and the team at Cafe Racer are superb. I brought my 2007 Bonneville in for a spring tune up and we discovered that we had the slightly larger issue of a bad CDI which I ruined by trying to install a seat that was creating to much pressure downward. Malisa was awesome and super communicative with finding the part, returning a faulty part, getting me a refund on the faulty part, helping me find another part and ultimately getting the issue fixed and getting me back in the road. Pricing was up front and straight forward. I really couldn’t be happier with everyone at this shop. Just friendly, good people doing what they love.

I had my BMW k1300s here recently after sitting at another shop for over a year. Within a week I got a phone call telling me what they believed the issue to be, we ordered new ignition coils. They also changed my fluids since the bike had sat for a year, replaced spark plugs, mounted new tire and rebuilt the clutch for me. The bike has almost 50,000 miles on her and she needed a major rehaul. I have been riding every day for the last 2 weeks since I picked her up and haven't had any issues, she runs like a dream again! Very thankful to this shop for getting me back on the road. Aron did great work on the bike. Malisa was very detailed with her communication and on top of it! You can't get this personal attention at the dealer, I highly recommend bringing your bike here....no matter what you ride.

Great service, great atmosphere. Got my 2004 Yamaha R6 Tires replaced here at Cafe Racer in Ypsilanti. Fast, East, Affordable. Answered all my other questions, they have a deep understanding here of less than typical bikes. Will be returning for any future service. Thank you guys!!
