Navigating the world of auto repair can sometimes feel overwhelming, but at C & L Transmission, the focus is on providing the necessary services with the goal of getting you back on the road with confidence. While primarily known for transmission work, the team understands that vehicle issues can range from simple fixes to complex overhauls. Based on available information, customer experiences appear to vary, highlighting the importance of clear communication and understanding of the services provided.

One customer, Cesar, is specifically mentioned in a positive light for going above and beyond to assist a traveler with a converted school bus. Despite C & L Transmission being a transmission repair shop, Cesar reportedly helped the customer find a mechanic to address issues with the distributor and fuel pump, showcasing a willingness to support customers even with problems outside their immediate specialization. This anecdote suggests a degree of community-mindedness and a desire to help those in need.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience. This customer detailed a transmission swap service that allegedly led to additional complications, including cut brake lines, a removed engine left uninstalled, flat tires, and subsequent engine-related issues indicated by the service engine light. The reviewer also mentioned difficulties in communication and alleged unprofessional handling of their vehicle, resulting in cosmetic damage. This account underscores the significance of transparent communication, meticulous workmanship, and thorough quality checks in auto repair services.

As an auto repair station in the Albuquerque area, C & L Transmission is positioned to serve local users seeking assistance with their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. When considering C & L Transmission, or any auto repair shop, it's beneficial for customers to engage in clear and detailed conversations about the required services, expected timelines, and associated costs. Understanding the scope of work and ensuring mutual agreement can help manage expectations and potentially mitigate misunderstandings.

For local users in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas, C & L Transmission is geographically accessible at the provided address. The presence of both a landline and a mobile phone number offers multiple avenues for contact, whether for scheduling appointments, seeking clarifications, or inquiring about specific services. As with any service-oriented business, direct communication can be key to a positive experience.

In the realm of auto repair, the expertise and focus of a shop can vary. While C & L Transmission is named for its transmission services, the positive review indicates a willingness to assist with broader mechanical issues by connecting customers with other professionals. Conversely, the negative review suggests potential limitations in handling comprehensive repairs or ensuring consistent quality across all services.

When choosing an auto repair station, factors such as the specific needs of your vehicle, the reputation and reliability of the shop, and the clarity of communication are crucial. Online reviews, while offering insights, represent individual experiences and may not always provide a complete picture. It is advisable for potential customers to consider a range of factors and perhaps seek multiple opinions or quotes for significant repairs.

For C & L Transmission, moving forward, a focus on consistent service quality, transparent communication with customers regarding the scope of work and any unforeseen issues, and meticulous attention to detail could enhance customer satisfaction. Addressing concerns raised in negative feedback can provide valuable opportunities for improvement and reinforce trust within the local community.

As a local auto repair station, C & L Transmission has the potential to be a valuable resource for Albuquerque residents. By emphasizing clear communication, striving for consistent quality in their services, and fostering a customer-centric approach, they can build stronger relationships with their clientele. The automotive repair industry thrives on trust and reliability, and these are essential elements for any auto repair station aiming to serve its community effectively.

In conclusion, C & L Transmission is an auto repair station located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, primarily known for transmission services. While one customer review highlights a helpful and community-oriented approach, another details significant issues with a transmission swap service and subsequent customer service interactions. Local users considering C & L Transmission should weigh these perspectives and engage in thorough communication with the shop to ensure their specific needs are understood and addressed. As with any auto repair service, clarity, transparency, and a focus on quality workmanship are paramount for a positive customer experience.

C & L Transmission Customer Reviews

Cesar was an angel helping us! My granddaughter and I were passing through when our converted school bus quit running. I thought it was the transmission. It was, in the end, the distributor and fuel pump and even though Cesar is a transmission repair shop he was able to find us a mechanic who could fix our bus so we could continue on our way. THANK YOU CESAR!!

Horrible experience horrible customer service took my 2 cars to do a transmission swap from one to the other for $1000 after 2 weeks of them being there with out a call besides 6 days after dropped them both off that they were going to have to "cut some hoses" because they said the engine was seized. I said that was fine. I called 6 days after this call asking if my car was ready since I passed the shop and seen it sitting in the same spot for 3 days. He said yes but they had to cut our brake lines so at that point we were unable to pull the car home which was our only request forcing us to find a pay a tow truck company which we did for $75 We arrived to pick up the car to find our other motor from the car they took the transmission from on the floor on a crate which we them had to find a way to get it lifted into something since it wasn't put back in the car. When I drove my car home it had two almost flat tires and it was having a rough start and felt like it was going to die out this was Saturday. We got home my husband then popped the hood and ran the obd trouble codes since now the service engine light was on to find the cars air filter had not been placed on correctly and the temperature control sensor wires were ripped out. I tried to contact them by calling the shop directly and even sent pictures and videos on messager through their Facebook page got no response. Went down there on Monday when shop reopend and spoke to Ceasar the person whom I handed my keys to 2 weeks ago who I believed to be the owner. He literally looked at me and said he didn't know he couldn't say since he wasn't the one who worked on the car. I was so frustrated and confused questioning whether they had purposely pulled the wires from the sensor to make me take it back thinking I had engine issues now because the codes that came up when we connected obd scanner had nothing to do with transmission and everything to do with the engine? When we took the car the engine was perfect and no service lights were on the car it only leaked transmission fluid which is why we were replacing it with the other transmission that had no leaks. At this point I didn't trust them with my car any further. Oh and to top it off my car is a cadillac and it has a cloth tan top which they put their oily fingers on so now it's stained and im having a hard time getting it off 🤦‍♀️. So unprofessional I myself am a small business owner myself and I was shocked to see such horrible customer service.

I had my clutch replaced by them. They had a very reasonable turnaround time and super competitive pricing. The shop doesn't have an unnecessary fancy waiting room with coffee and magazines. Nobody wants to hangout at a garage anyway. I was able to schedule a day to bring my car in after they recieved the parts so I wasn't left without a ride. My clutch feels great and I will definitely be a returning customer.

Had a transmission replaced on a 2003 Honda Pilot. I provided the transmission, but their service was excellent. They have great customer service and are real knowledgeable on any transmission or general mechanical problems you may have on your vehicle. I will be continuing to take my vehicle for service at this location. I look forward to doing business with this establishment again. Thank you, Cesar!
