10/3/2022. Update, the phone for the C&K shop is working as of 9/16/2022, however I still have not received a reply or payment despite multiple calls and requests. The project was completed, the vehicle owner picked up his car and paid for the work on 8/11/2022, which is also the last time I received a call from Doug. 9/15/2022. This is a tentative review, will be either deleted or updated later. I am awaiting contact from Doug at C&K Transmission and have concerns that the shop may now be closed. I dropped off a requested transmission for an older Volvo to Doug at C&K to install in one of his customers vehicles, after cleaning the filters and replacing bushings and seals as needed. From what I understand, it was installed in the vehicle, the customer paid for the work and the transmission to Doug, but I have yet to be paid for the transmission or the parts that I put into it. It is now +60 days since delivery of the transmission to Doug (July 11, 2022). I have not yet received payment and am still awaiting it. Communication was good for the first 30 days and I told him he could pay after the job was done. However, the C&K shop phone is now disconnected and I do not have a cell phone number for him. Doug, if you are reading this, please call me. I don't know how to reach you otherwise than posting this review. My phone number is on the red box holding the spare pan gasket I left with the transmission in case you needed it. I still have not paid the original owner of the transmission. Please don't leave me hanging for the cost of the transmission plus the labor and parts that I put into it before handing it off to you.

Awful service. Said he could get to our car at the end of the week and 3 weeks later has not even started on it with no communication. Lied to us and said car would not go into neutral as that’s why he hasn’t started on it yet. We ended up moving our car somewhere else and they said it went into neutral just fine. He just kept putting us off saying he couldn’t get to it today. We were without a car for 3 weeks without it even being started on and he never once communicated to us. We had to call him and come to find out he was lying to us. I would never use him again nor recommend this place to anyone.

When my car started acting up in July, I brought it to another auto shop in the area who ultimately told me that they did not work on transmissions and referred me to Doug at C&K. A few days later, I had my Mazda towed to his shop and I am so glad I did (and thankful to the other shop for referring me to a reputable mechanic!). Despite a TON of back-and-forth with my warranty company, Doug remained patient, kind, and extremely accommodating. My vehicle ended up having the transmission replaced, and if you are having issues with your transmission, please take it to Doug! Nobody WANTS to have major issues with their vehicle, but if you do, you WANT to have a mechanic you know is on your side and that you can trust. Thank you!

I had my car breakdown on my way to work, which happened to be right by C&K. Doug was super nice and accommodating to my walk-in. He was able to get my car checked out and called promptly the following day. Thanks Doug!
