Was driving my car (237,000 on the odometer) across country from Maine to Colorado when the check engine light came on and I started losing power. Bens automotive was the closet auto shop according to Google. I was a little dubious at first given the lack of reviews and its rural location but this little shop was amazing. They dropped what they were doing and instantly helped me out. They could have just read the error code (faulty O2 valve) and sent me on my way knowing they didnt have a replacement on location but instead they checked every single valve trying to find the defective part to save me time and money when I actually got to a dealership. They also did a general check/diagnostic of my car to make sure I would make it the rest of the way to CO. While Bens didnt end up replacing any parts or doing any serious repairs, they did get the O2 valve unstuck and I had zero issues the rest of the trip. At the end of the diagnostic and after they had fixed the valve, I asked how much I owed and they said not to worry about it, that the repair was on the house since they didnt really replace anything. I forced them to take 60 bucks for the peace of mind they gave me and for their amazing helpfulness but they were reluctant to take even that. I made it to Colorado the next day thanks to these guys. I highly reccomend Ben's Auto and Truck Repair if your having any car trouble in Ohio. I wish I lived closer so I could use them for all my future auto repairs. Thanks again guys! Ben is much better in price and quality than your average shop he can diagnose and fix a problem cheaper and quicker than what Fredericktown Chevrolet. Fredericktown Chevrolet has misdiagnosed our cars multiple times and tried to rip us off but Ben is straight forward honest down to earth and a master of his trade! I'm so proud to support this local business!
