Great service when we needed it the most. Dave is skilled and knowledgeable. AAA towed us and we had to wait a bit on a Saturday morning for Bear Mountain Auto to open, Dave came out and we told him our issues and within minutes, he had diagnosed the potential problem. He was able to get the part delivered promptly, replaced the ignition coil and had us back on the road as fast as possible. We are grateful for his professional service and expediency.

Dave is amazing! My car broke down 2 hours away from my home - I left it with him and since he was unable to get the car to replicate the problem he made the choice to not start charging me for parts and labor when the problem wasn't certain. He gave me wonderful advice to upgrade my AAA membership and sent me on my way without charging me a dime! I couldn't believe what an upstanding and generous man he was. If I lived anywhere near Bakersfield he would be my #1 choice for mechanic! Give him your business!!!!!

Owner was absolutely amazing and communicated very well. Got my little scion xb running perfectly and even went the extra mile to check my other coils for me. Will absolutely bring her back to him.

We had a road hazard damage the muffler and associated pipes unexpectantly while on a trip in our RV. Got to Bakersfield and this place was recommended by AAA RV roadside. In the morning, the worker looked at our damage and recommended, in his opinion the “best muffler” repair shop in town. So grateful he didn’t waste our time by taking our business just for him to drive it to another shop. So nice to have an honest worker who will direct you to the right place. Thank you for sending us to BOb’s muffler. It was just what we needed to get back on the road in under an hour.

I called Bear Mountain Auto Repair 6/26/20 appx 830-845am. This place is one of the recommended AAA RV repair shops. When I spoke with AAA to have my RV towed there I decided to called them today to let them know what my RV needs. I do not know if I spoke with the owner or employee but from reading the other reviews I saw the name Dave so I asked this person if he was Dave but he went on with wanting to know what did my RV need. He didn't answer the question. Once I shared that information this person went on to say " I dont have room here to store or work on an RV." Google Maps satellite shows theirs Garage and at the very least can drive into it. He went on and said I have to do this and that to your RV to find out whats wrong and BE ON THE GROUND...... I am not making this up. Exactly what this mechanic said. So AAA's recomendation was wrong. I would with out hesitation not recommend Bear Mountain Auto Repair. Read the other reviews who did bring there RV's in for repairs. I was a first time caller. He simple did not want my business. And in the finacial climate businesses are in today I am very dissapointed with this place.
