Bales Smog & Tune

Horrible Experience. If I can leave negative stars, I would. This was my second time going there. First time, everything went smooth.Second time, it was a complete nightmare. My car had just passed smog and I was ready to pay. I gave the young lady at the front desk my card and she took my payment. Unfortunately, their device that collected their payments froze. We tried again and it did the same thing. She then proceeded to tell the owner. The owner became upset and said my card wasn’t working. He lashed out at her employee and lashed out at me. I checked my online banking app and it said it was being processed. According to him, he didn’t receive the money either. I told him to cancel the transaction but he said there was no record. I didn’t want to be charged twice. I called the police and it was no help. I was so upset and mad by then I ended paying him the cash and left. I now have to wait a few days to see if the charge processes. If it does, I have to take him to small courts claim. Fix your machine! Don’t blame customers for problems that are not caused by them. The old man should retire. Learn to treat everyone better including your employee. Please go somewhere else. I would hate for somebody to go through the same experience.

I wish i could leave negative stars for this shop I had the worst experience the customer service was awful the guy that helped me was extremely rude and unhelpful I was also lied to I went to a different smog shop in clovis and passed immediately either this shop doesn't know what they are doing, don't want to work or Want to bamboozle people out of their hard earned money don't go here they do not care abo ut you or your vehicle and they will make it known I've had better customer service at McDonald's in Compton, CA

I have been using Bales Smog & Tune for many years, I have never had anything other than a positive experience with the service. Tom is an honest caring person who conducts his business in a professional manner, offering excellent service, fair pricing and has gone above and beyond on more than one occasion to assist me with my vehicles service needs. He offers more than just smog certification but knows his limitations and tells you up front if it is something he is not equipped to deal with.

Do not get your car smogged here. Got my car failed here and when asked about a resmog the owner went off on me. But per Cali law you have 90 days for a resmog if you fail. And also have notified better business bureau

I highly recommend Bale's Smog to everyone looking to get their vehicle smogged. The old man who owns the business is so sweet and super helpful and he gets right to the point handles his business and you're on your way. He even waited since I called and said I was coming from ducor he waited for me to get there after hours just so I could get my car smogged he's so nice.

I just moved to Porterville and needed a smog check. I went here to Bale’s Smog Inspection and was helped by Tom Bales and the young lady behind the counter. What a pleasant experience. They were both very helpful and got me well taken care of. I highly recommend them.
