Old car, new radio 😎. I have a 2015 car with a good factory unit in it. I ended up with a front blown speaker. I went into Avenue to price it out. I decided to replace both fronts and get a sub. I also added a new head unit. My car no longer updates maps. I am driving using GPS with older maps. In addition, there isn't an option for car play or Android Auto. It is a great head unit, but dated. I choose a Kenwood. What's great is I didn't have to jump through hoops to get to work with XM. The car has an amp in it, so I used the factory amp on the new fronts. The sub unit has a built in amp. The Kenwood has an unit that allows the radio to "talk" to your car so you don't lose functionality live the volume buttons on your steering wheel. Avenue removed the door panels, replaced the door speaks. Removed the old radio and part of the dash to put in the new radio and tweeters. The entire process was about 5 hours. I waited in the store. The sub helps a lot. I hear a difference from the factory 8 inch sub to this 12 inch. The factory amp powered speakers sound better because no longer listening to a blown unit, but felt "underpowered". Eventually I started hearing occasional static in the front speakers. It was driving me crazy because it wasn't constant. I would just come and go randomly. A blown speaker would have constant distortion; this did not. I returned to Avenue. They diagnosed the issue. After about 40 minutes of testing, they determined it was the factory amp. I changed out the amp. Testing, removing the amp, adding new wring and install was about 5 hours. Consumer tip: I kept my old head unit and amp. If I sell the car, I will return the factory installed equipment. I had to return because of a minor wiring issue. As a customer, I am happy to report Avenue stands by their work. You can shop around. They may not be the cheapest, but I trust their work and commitment. It also is great when the owner is patient and willing to answer questions. I will return if further upgrades are needed.

I'm not sure what happened to the original google review here is a new one! So I initially decided to check out Avenue Sound because of it's stellar online presence. After the initial phone call with Vic I was feeling very confident about bringing my car in. I got my Subaru worked on here by Vic and his crew they are great people and I am lucky to bring my car to the right place it's a great fit for the car. They do amazing custom work, I electrical work and lighting and cameras and tint installed and the outcome of everything was nothing short of spectacular. Most important to me is communication which is excellent and one thing you will notice is how they treat my car like it's their own. I'm glad I decided to come here it's just a little unfortunate I moved out of Long Island because I would bring my car here exclusively if given the opportunity. If you are on long island and need work done I highly recommend taking it to Avenue Sound.

I went in today to get a remote start system & they did a good job. The receptionist was great and informative, very professional. The owner has a great sense of humor and very helpful. Clean facility and parking available. Thank you

overall great experience. Walked in at 5 PM on a Thursday to see what my options were to fix my radio system. Fast-forward to about 8:30 PM I was walking out of avenue sound with a brand new aftermarket radio that did everything I wanted, and then some. friendly and informative staff, will be back soon for the speakers and much more

Been thinking about getting a dash cam for a while. Drove by Avenue Sound one day and decided to check if they install dash cams—and turns out, they do! The reviews on Google were great, which brought me in. I didn’t want wires hanging everywhere, so I knew I didn’t want to install it myself. Everyone inside was super friendly and helpful. I told them exactly what I was looking for, and they pointed me in the right direction. Best part—they were even able to install it that same day! I waited about an hour and a half, and everything was done perfectly. Clean install, great service, and a smooth experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Two words : PRECISION AND EFFICIENCY. These guys are the best of the best. They revamped my car and turned it into a brand new car all over again… from the stereo system, to the alarm start, to the vinyl wraps, ambient lighting, tints, cameras, the list goes on and on. They do such a great job and show you that they genuinely care about you and your needs as the customer. No one is left behind. THEY TAKE CARE OF EVERYBODY. Hey guys my name is Omar & this Avenue Sound is a Gem that I recently found. Vik is the guy you need which I highly highly recommend. This is not one of those Brooklyn places on instagram that try to go after your money. This guy is all about customer’s satisfaction. Let me explain a bit If you are looking for something cheap just to get by then one shouldn’t complain about the product and service. To get a good or reasonable sound system costs money but you will guarantee get the good stuff. Vik is the guy I recommend because he is not one of those guys who try to up sell you stuff to fill his pockets. I just got a Jbl bass pro hub installed in my trunk, I picked that because I needed a truck space. I knew the bass would be decent. I played it for a day or two then I got the rush to add another sub, I went & spoke to Vik & told him now I wanted to replace my factory sub to more powerful sub & he gave me other cheaper suitable options, he told me don’t buy it just yet, first try it I’ll let you hear the difference & if is to your liking then we can install this device. Now my sub is so powerful it is literally shaking everything in the car. It’s only possible if you get a knowledgeable person to explain it to you properly. I never heard a jbl hub making that much bass on such low volume. I am not exaggerating seeing is believing. My point is person like Vik who really cares about costumers & educate them he deserves to be noticed. He can’t read minds so whatever you want, the way you want it You have to explain it to him exactly what you are after & then see the magic happen. Pls remember good products are not cheap but he will work with you & give you alternatives. He is not a shark but a humble genuine person who cares & knows the value of hard earned money. Guys I became his fan now if I be honest. Such a guy deserves recognition. If you want my setup you won’t be disappointed I guarantee it. This is the place to go, pls don’t get scammed out there by exploring different options btw usually he is very busy because ppl know his worth. I typed this long review for nothing it takes time & the reason I did it because 1: this is my way of showing appreciation for Vik 2: ppl deserves to know this place.
