I just had a conversation with Seth and he explained a corporate or store policy that is absolutely crazy. If somebody purchases a part and has a warranty and they need to warranty that part, then they must jump through extra hoops if that part is only available via a hub. For instance I was told that I would have to pay for the part a second time in order to get the part from the hub to the store and then once I come in and swap the part out, they will refund the second purchase. And of course it will take a few days for that to get back to your account. Not everybody may be in a position to be able to afford to pay for parts multiple times when a warranty should make that null and void. The part would be hitching a ride on the truck that is already going to and from the hub multiple times a day and if a person does a no-show, then they can just send the part back on the truck and it doesn't cost anything because the trucks literally go back and forth all the time. Talk about inconveniencing customers and putting people in a position that may not be able to afford to pay for it a second time. That is just absolute poor customer service and all they care about is themselves with this policy. This has nothing to do with any of the employees working there directly as this is a corporate or store policy that supersedes them. He also told me that I usually have an attitude when I come in there and I only recall one time when I got an attitude and that was with the manager that no longer works there that made exchanging some shocks under warranty difficult for me. And actually a couple of the other employees mentioned that particular manager is difficult with a lot of people including the employees. Most of the time I choose to go to this location because all of the guys are super nice and they have my online order ready nearly every time I come in there. Sometimes they even have it bagged up and literally just ready to sign my name and go right back out the door. I had some difficulties with bad alternators awhile back and had to do a couple exchanges, but I don't remember ever having an attitude about it. So I'm not quite sure what he is referring to. Maybe from now on I will purposely have an attitude, just so he can see the difference. Or maybe I will have an attitude with him and be nice to everybody else. 馃槀 I don't personally recall who Seth is but I have an idea who he is and I think it's the same manager that has asked me several times about an alternator that I ordered in that ended up not needing and I have told him numerous times that I don't need it and he asks me every time I come in there if I'm going to get the alternator. The last time he asked me I took the time to explain to him that it wasn't an alternator problem with my vehicle, it was the PCM causing the voltage regulator to not work. So I wired in an external voltage regulator and my alternator works perfectly and the whole time I thought I was just getting a bad alternator off the shelf from AutoZone. I am an elite customer and I spend thousands of dollars every month at AutoZone for my business. If they think I have an attitude, maybe I should just give my business to Advance or O'Reilly's or maybe Napa. Or maybe it's about time that I switch to online retailers like RockAuto and Detroit Axle.
