I had to update my review after coming here for years. I came in for my regular oil change and they talked me into a car wash. My wipers were in an upward position when I got my car back. I had asked the guy to double check that the windshield wiper fluid had been topped off as it wasn't last time. He assured me my wipers were fine. I tried to use them and they flew off. One got tangled and slammed down on my windshield, cracking it. I took the car back and they tried to sell me new wipers. Absolutely awful. I wish I could give negative stars.

This might be one of the only totally honest car repair shops in this town! Crazy Terry is the owner and he is a genius. He's got a great crew to work on your car and he oversees everything. They try to find the least expensive way to get your car back up and running. They never added an extra things you don't need. They always tell you everything that your car absolutely needs and then another list of things that maybe your car should have now but everything is optional and they're very trustworthy. I love these guys! I've been taking my car's there for 10 years. And they do a $15 oil change for almost any car! The oil changes are always with an appointment so the good news is you wait for your car to be finished but you know that they're going to take you when you arrive on time.

We were recommended here from the Jiffy Lube up the street. We had taken it there to get an inspection of a leak we had, jiffy lube had already told us the issue but that we needed to take it somewhere else to be fixed. I’ll start off by saying the customer service at Sun Valley Automotive was exceptional, they were quick and friendly. However they told us they fixed the leak and drove it for 2 miles, no leak. When we got home, it was already leaking— they had advised us that it could be old oil falling off so we just let it go. Not even a week later it was dripping profusely, a steady drip. We had placed mats under the car to monitor it. We called and took it back, after looking at it they told us it was now a leak on the other side of the car and was a completely different part that needed to be fixed. (The leak was in the same place on the mats.) They charged us again to fix this issue. This is our family car, so it needed to be fixed. Hopefully it is, but our trust in this establishment is gone. We will not be returning as it was the same issue within the span of a week and they charged us twice to fix what wasn’t fixed the first time.

I've been looking for a straightforward and honest car mechanic in town and I think I found them. They're always willing to work with you and they're usually very good on their prices and quite honest. At least that's been my experience so far. I've taken my car to them several times in the last several years. In addition, they have extended hours of operation so that's always convenient as I usually drop the car off after work and pick it up the next day or the following day at my leisure. Very convenient.

We have been taking our cars to Sun Valley Automotive for 7 years now. They are knowledgeable, helpful, reliable and their prices are very reasonable. They even helped us get free maintenance through the manufacturer's warranty on a prior vehicle instead of getting the job themselves. That really sold us on their honesty. They are also friendly, the shop is open almost 24/7 and they have a small waiting area outside with free drinks. VERY NICE.
