I had an exhaust leak that was diagnosed by a different shop but as welding was involved and that shop only had a welder one day a week I hadn’t taken care of it yet. One night I opened the hood to fill the washer reserve and the hood latch Handel separated from the cable. Couldn’t fully close the hood. This was urgent so I took it to Antons dropped it off and asked them to look at both issues but not to do the work until approved. They called an hour or so later. The hood cable lever needed to be removed cleaned and reinstalled. As for the exhaust leak they diagnosed the same as my regular guy. It was a little more to fix but they could do it that day. I gave the ok. When they called to say it was completed they mentioned the cost of the exhaust and it was exactly what they estimated. I jumped off the phone quickly and never asked the charge for the hood latch. When I walked in to pay I assumed the charge for cable latch was going to be a shocker. It was. They didn’t charge me anything for fixing the latch, and $20.00 less than quoted for the exhaust fix. I have lived in this town since 1977 and Antons has been here the entire time. If they did business in the manner described in the other reviews they would have been gone long ago. All I care about is honesty and they were honest with me. I’m Not sure why I had never used them before but I sure I’ll will be back.

Went there yesterday for inspection. They said I need 4 new tire I said I have the tire. The guy told me to come back today 8:am for mounting & balance and can wait for 1-2 hours. Come back this morning 7:55 am another nasty arrogant guy in the counter makes me wait at counter. Took the key said leave the car will call me back. I said I was told yesterday I can wait for it. He just gave me back the key and turn away. Crazy fool. Has problem in his life!

I needed a minor inspection required for my auto insurance. Chuck was very kind and attentive and treated me like an important customer. I say this because other places blew me off and gave me the impression that they could not be bothered. My insurance would have been cancelled without this inspection. In my opinion this a business with integrity which still believes in treating the customer with respect. I recommend them to anyone needing service.

EDIT TO RESPOND TO ANTON'S My car did not officially pass or fail the inspection at your shop, as it was never inspected there. The person on duty called me about 1 hour later and told me that my car would not pass the inspection because it needed brakes that would cost me $750. I immediately picked up my car and took elsewhere where it in fact it passed the inspection. No, I do not have an invoice nor you not know my name because the work was never done at your place...not for an unnecessary $750... Went here to get my car inspected. They told me in order to pass the inspection I would need to change the front and back brakes for a whooping $750 dollars. I picked up my car back so fast. Oh and their nasty attitudes didn’t help the case either. Went to 5 Corners Auto Shop in Malverne where it passed the inspection with flying colors. I wouldn’t trust Anton’s as they try to scam you. Never again!
