Located at 36B Kenosia Ave, Danbury, CT 06810, USA, All Tech Auto/Truck Electric operates within the specialized segment of Auto Repair Stations that primarily focuses on automotive electrical systems and component rebuilding. The name itself, "Auto/Truck Electric," clearly indicates their core area of expertise: addressing electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles, from cars to trucks. For local users in Danbury and the surrounding areas, this establishment aims to provide solutions for complex electrical diagnostics and repairs, often offering an alternative to simply replacing expensive components by rebuilding them instead.
The environment of All Tech Auto/Truck Electric, as inferred from its specialized services, would typically be a workshop setting equipped to handle intricate electrical diagnostics and component rebuilding. This would include diagnostic tools for tracing electrical faults, test benches for alternators and starters, and specialized equipment for disassembly and reassembly of these units. While specific details about the waiting area or customer amenities are not explicitly provided, the focus is undoubtedly on the technical capabilities of the repair bay. A functional and organized workspace is crucial for technicians to perform precise electrical work. The address at 36B Kenosia Ave suggests a location within a commercial or industrial complex, common for automotive repair shops that require dedicated bay space and access for various types of vehicles, including larger trucks. This location likely allows for efficient operation and ease of access for both customers bringing in vehicles and those dropping off specific components for rebuilding.
The services offered by All Tech Auto/Truck Electric are primarily centered around automotive and truck electrical systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the diagnosis and repair of wiring issues, battery problems, starter failures, and alternator malfunctions. A significant service highlighted by customer feedback is the rebuilding of alternators and starters. Rather than simply replacing a faulty unit with a new or re-manufactured one from an auto parts store, All Tech provides the service of repairing the original component. This can often be a more cost-effective solution, especially for older or less common vehicles, and ensures that the repaired unit meets specific quality standards, as indicated by a positive review. The customer who had their 2004 Dodge Ram diesel alternator rebuilt expressed satisfaction, stating, "They did a fantastic job of rebuilding it. It looked amazing when I got it back. They even took the time to press the bushings out for easy reinstallation. And they did it all for $125. Amazing!" This particular feedback underscores their capability in specialized rebuilding, attention to detail (like pressing out bushings), and competitive pricing. For Auto Repair Stations, All Tech Auto/Truck Electric can serve as a valuable outsourced specialist for complex electrical issues or for rebuilding specific components, allowing general repair shops to focus on mechanical work while ensuring their customers receive expert electrical repairs.
The features of All Tech Auto/Truck Electric are characterized by their specialization and, based on the reviews, a mixed customer experience. A strong feature is their ability to rebuild components like alternators, providing a high-quality, potentially more durable, and cost-effective alternative to generic replacements. The positive review specifically praises the quality of the rebuild and the attention to detail, such as pressing out bushings for easier reinstallation. The mention of "Joe" as "the best" suggests that individual staff members provide excellent service and expertise, which is a valuable asset to any business. However, it is also important to consider critical feedback. Another customer's experience highlights significant concerns regarding service efficiency, communication, and diagnostic accuracy. This customer reported their car being held for a week before diagnosis, complaints from staff about the amount of work, insistence on a full tune-up instead of addressing a fuse issue, and ultimately, the car not starting after their alleged repair. The subsequent finding by another mechanic that "all the wires to the starter coil were switched around and the spark plugs were fouled with gasoline" raises serious questions about the quality of the electrical work performed. The fact that All Tech Auto/Truck Electric returned money spent at the second garage could be interpreted in various ways, but for the customer, it reinforced their belief that something was amiss. This mixed feedback indicates that while they possess the capability for specific, high-quality rebuilding services, there might be inconsistencies in their diagnostic process, general electrical repair work, or overall customer service across different cases. Their direct phone contact, (203) 790-8990 and +1 203-790-8990, provides immediate communication access, which is crucial for customers and other repair shops.
Regarding promotional information, All Tech Auto/Truck Electric would likely emphasize their specialization in electrical systems and component rebuilding as their primary selling point. The positive feedback about the alternator rebuild could be a core element of their marketing, highlighting their expertise and cost-effectiveness compared to buying new parts. For Auto Repair Stations, they might promote their services as a reliable partner for outsourcing complex electrical diagnostics or component repairs, offering competitive rates and specialized knowledge. They could also highlight their ability to handle both auto and truck electrical systems, broadening their appeal. Given the critical feedback, addressing and ensuring consistent quality in all service areas, particularly diagnostics and wiring, would be paramount for building a universally strong reputation. Any promotional efforts would need to instill confidence in their comprehensive electrical repair capabilities beyond just rebuilding, aiming to show a consistent level of professionalism and accuracy. Testimonials from satisfied customers, particularly regarding successful rebuilds, would be valuable for showcasing their strengths. They might also consider online presence improvements to make their services more discoverable and to manage their reputation proactively.
In conclusion, All Tech Auto/Truck Electric in Danbury, CT, is an automotive repair facility within the Auto Repair Stations category that primarily specializes in electrical systems and component rebuilding. Their demonstrated ability to perform high-quality alternator rebuilds at a competitive price is a notable strength, as evidenced by positive customer feedback. However, varied customer experiences, including concerns about diagnostic accuracy and overall service quality in some cases, suggest a need for consistent application of their expertise across all service offerings. For local users and other automotive businesses, All Tech Auto/Truck Electric represents a potential resource for specialized electrical repairs and rebuilding services, particularly when seeking alternatives to new part replacements.

I brought the alternator out of my 2004 Dodge Ram diesel to All Tech because I did not want a cheap Chinese replacement from one of the auto parts stores. The did a fantastic job of rebuilding it. It looked amazing when I got it back. They even took the time to press the bushings out for easy reinstallation. And they did it all for $125. Amazing! Be sure to speak with Joe. He's the best.

All tech was the biggest headache we've ever had in dealing with a car. My husbands car kept blowing a fuse repeatedly so we thought it might need some electrical work. We took it to all tech, they kept the car for a whole week before even looking into the problem. Then when they started to do work they kept complaining about how much work it was and how much the car needed done. They refused to look into the fuse and insisted it needed a full on tune up. After a week and a half they finally called my husband to say the car was done and took $750 over the phone because he wouldn't be able to get there before they closed that night. After processing the payment they called him back and said they needed to keep it longer because it still needed some work. Finally after 2 weeks they claimed to be done. When my husband went to pick up the car, it did NOT start! We towed it to another mechanic, they couldn't believe an actual "mechanic" worked on the car. Within two hours they had the car running. They found that all the wires to the starter coil were switched around and the spark plugs were fouled with gasoline. (How does a electrical specialist mess up wiring?!?) I believe they did it on purpose so we would spend more money on them. The second garage recommended that we get our money back. When my husband went back he said he could tell they were expecting him. They gave him the money we spent at the second garage, no gives you money back if they're not guilty. Do not waste your time or give them any business.

I dropped my Honda off on a Tuesday night. They said it would be fixed by Wednesday afternoon. I called Wednesday they said there was an emergency and they couldn’t get to it and to come back Thursday. I got there Thursday after noon and my car was still sitting in the bay and the sloppy, dirty dark haired guy was sitting in a back room drinking something. He came out complaining his back hurt and looked a little drunk or like he was on pills. He was nice but full of excuses... I would not recommend.

All tech auto electrical in danbury ct is the biggest rip off for starters the owner name is bill he is an senial elderly old man that should not be working and should retire, for instance when we would he would not know what's going on with the job he would refer us to his mechanic that wasn't much better the mechanic he was equipped and knowledgeable and was not able to after a week and a half the guys claim they specialize in electrical meanwhile when we picked up our tow truck that went in for the light bar not working, they cut up the harness, left junction boxes and wires exposed, the owner demanded cash, after arguing with him for two hours i called the police for proper documentation and the owner went from 1500 - 1700$ because of poor workmanship and not being a problem solver the vehicle came out of their shop with more problems then it went in with, we will pursue them, to the fullest extent. Had to bring truck to manufacturer to be completely re wired, they ruined my truck and can't recall a single thing they did.

I would not do business with ALLTECH EVER AGAIN! After spending nearly $5000 and having nothing but problems dealing with the old man running this business. It’s his way or the highway approach to everything. He’s rude, condescending and grouchy. His shop performed a Drum to Disc brake conversion on a 1976 Jeep CJ. Brake Job $3600 Tachometer installs 2X $800 In the process they installed rear end incorrectly causing rear bearings to lock up nearly killing my son going off the road! Then shortly after storing Jeep over the Winter for 3 months no brake pedal. You would think after spending 5K this idiot would look into the matter to help solve the issue. Nope! Mr. Bill would not warranty anything. Nothing. A simple Brake bleed would have probably fixed the issue. Owner has earned a visit to Small Claims Court Let him tell a judge about his incompetent work.
