Mechanics get such a bad rap because everyone wants someone to blame when something happens. Parts are expensive, labor, overhead it cost money to fix things and if you don't have the knowledge to fix it yourself you can often be bamboozled by smooth talking shops that have you in a pinch. My Sequoia overheated in Albuquerque while traveling from the west coast to the east coast on a holiday weekend no less. I was expecting the worst. On Sunday night I started looking for a shop to call first thing Monday (memorial day) in hopes that someone was actually open. I knew my best bet was to try to find an old school genuine independent mechanic. I had one radiator shop and one toyota specialized shop in mind to make my calls. I called Albuquerque Radiator Services first and no surprise I got voice mail. I left a message anyway explaining my circumstances and moved on to call the next shop. Of course no one was open so I kept calling around. About 30 mins or less later this very shop called me back after hearing my message and said well no I'm not open today but I can't have you stranded here and asked where I was and where my car was located. On his day off he drove to ME! He determined what was wrong told my husband where to get the part and wouldn't even take cash for his time! Finding a mechanic you can trust from out of town is rare one that goes above and beyond on a holiday is PRICELESS. If you are stranded in Albuquerque this should be your first call.

Chris was extremely knowledgeable no nonsense guy and told you exactly how it was. His prices were $800 under the dealers estimate. Chris has every tool needed to replace a radiator. I dropped my car off at nine and it was ready at two just as promised. He was so knowledgeable and gave me a lot of recommendations and information about my car. Don’t judge a gifted and skilled mechanic by the location. I highly recommend Chris.

This guy right here!👍🏼 We broke down on the interstate in the middle of the night and he started working with us as soon as he opened and got us going with new parts and all fixed up for less then the low end of what we were expecting! Thankful!👍🏼

I found Chris by accident. My thermostat was bad my radiator cracked estimate by a mechanic shop in town 2100. Found Chris at this shop. He estimated 1/3 the cost. Let me tell you never have I trusted a shop like I do this one. This guy is an honest man and I highly recommend

Chris really showed himself to be a wonderful old-fashioned mechanic. Determined to find the problem with my little car and get me safely to Idaho, he went out of his way in every way to find a solution. Then to top it off he didn't rob my pocket and charged less than I expected. Thanks again Chris, you rock!
